Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow (also known as Epic Gameshow) is a five-part series where five classic game shows are recreated with each having an epic twists being attached to them. The Price is Right was one of them, and it will be the only show covered here.

On May 30, 2020, ITV started presenting a five episode series called (Alan Carr's) Epic Gameshow, with Chatty Man himself Alan Carr as the host. He had prior experience hosting the show when it was a one-off Christmas special in 2017 on Channel 4. Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow (or Epic Gameshow) is a limited run series with five shows. Each show revives a classic British game show. Though each one is played the same way, they each have an epic twists attached to them. The second episode that featured The Price is Right aired on 6 June 2020 (June 6, 2020). For series 2, it premiered on 3 April 2021 (or April 3, 2021) where the third episode of The Price is Right aired on 17 April 2021 (April 17, 2021).

A one-off Christmas Special which mainly focused on The Price is Right aired on 24 December 2020 (December 24, 2020).
After three series, the Price format never returned for a third go around as the show itself got the axe on 25 December 2022 (December 25, 2022).
Concept[]
In this episode, five pricing games are played as the three contestants who came the closest to the One Bid items advanced to the Showcase Showdown in which the winner of that, advanced to the Epic Showcase.

Showcase Showdown[]
The three contestants who not only won their way up on stage, but also were the closest to the ARP of each of the IUFBs faces-off against each other in the Showcase Showdown with the Big Wheel. The contestant nearest to 100 went on the Epic Showcase round. Getting 100 in one spin or two won £1,000.
Epic Showcase[]
The Epic Showcase, worked the same way as is has been since the Bob Warman version from 1989-90. The biggest difference here is that there was no random range choice of any kind, as the range was a flat £3,000. Still, coming within that range without going over won the Showcase.

In Cliffhanger, The price of the Popcorn Maker was never revealed after Angela's win, it was in fact 50 pounds.
In Cliffhanger, it sparked controversy on social media due to the trip of Mallorca/Majorca, Spain that was being offered in the classic pricing game Cliffhangers where a female contestant named Angela played and won with messages on Twitter such as "#epicgameshow You'll Be Heading Off to Majorca..' Or Really? When?! Not Anytime Soon" and "Angela on The Price is Right is still in Majorca with her friend, not been able to get back due to covid #epicgameshow #pricceisright"

In Cliffhanger, due of the holiday season, the face of the mountain climber resembling Carr is dressed as Santa without his sleigh, reindeers and red sack full of presents but with a candy cane used to climb the mountain instead of an pick axe.
Just like in series 1, it also sparked controversy as well[1]with complaints on Twitter such as Christine who said "How Long Ago Did They Film This? They Have an Audience and People are Touching." and by "#EpicGameshow is giving me anxiety with that screaming packed audience... THE GERMS...." according to the article, filming for the show took place in July and August 2019.

The second series (or season) of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow (or Epic Gameshow) premiered on 3 April 2021 (or April 3, 2021) as the other four shows that were being brought back this time around were: Play Your Cards Right (Card Sharks), Bullseye, Name That Tune & Strike it Lucky (Strike it Rich '86). The third episode that only featured The Price is Right aired on 17 April 2021 (or April 17, 2021).
