Eric Galliano (born July 12, 1965 in Marseilles) [Bouches-du-Rhone] is a French television host and comedian.
Biography[]
Galliano trained at the Michel Fugain workshop in Nice before starting his career as a speaker on TMC in 1985. His career, however, was truly launched by producer Dominique Cantien on TF1 in the same year. From 1985 to 1989, he hosted several talk shows on TF1.
After refusing to take the place of Max Meynier, whom he briefly replaced on Le Juste Prix (The Right Price, the French version of The Price is Right), he arrived on Antenne 2 in 1989 where he occupied the youth slot for four years through his shows Eric et Compagine (Eric and Company) and Dessinez c'est Gagne! Junior (Drawing is Winning Junior, the French version of Teen Win, Lose or Draw). From 1994 to 1996, he hosted Recre Kids (Recreational Kids) on TMC. Galliano then became one of the co-hosts of the famous Club Dorothee (Dorothee Club) on TF1 during its 10th and final season in 1996-1997. Since 1997, Galliano has been absent from the air despite a stint on the Mangas channel in 2008.
In parallel with his career as an animator, Galliano participated in several television series in the 1990s as he can be found in theaters throughout the 2000s.
Galliano was married to an American model, the couple had a daughter, Melissa. In the show Acces Prive (Private Access) on M6 in March 2010 and then with Thierry Ardisson in Tout le monde en a spoke (Everyone Talked About It), he lives in Besancon where he had a famous shoe store. In the show, he talks about his career in the audiovisual sector and how he was ousted from his position as host of the show Le Juste Prix (The Right Price) in 1988 upon his return from leave, a position given to the late Patrick Roy. A report is shown on the life of Eric Galliano these days with his companion with whom he lives. This report generated a controversy in particular by Jean Marc Morandini who published on his blog that Galliano had come out. However, the latter declared in Jacky's show on IDF1 that this had been one for several years in the magazine TETU.
In 2012, Galliano was offered the management of programs for the first private regional television channel in France-Comte on TNT (Tic Tac TV).
In 2013, Galliano took charge of the Geox Flagship in the historic center of Brussels.
In 2014, the luxury house Giorgio Armani entrusted him with the position of director in Brussels, a position he held until January 2018. He will have the privilege of looking after the Belgian Royal Family during these four years.
In 2018, the luxury house Burberry entrusted him with the reins of the Brussels boutique.
In Summer 2022, the luxury house Balenciaga entrusted him with the reins of the boutique in the Principality of Monaco.
