Kathleen "Kathy" McDonald Greco, nicknamed "Fingers" (born September 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona), is the former producer on the game show The Price is Right.

Early Career[]

Joining Goodson-Todman Productions in 1975, she became a production assistant on the game, creating the pricing game Secret 'X' in 1977, moving to Associate Producer in Season 17 (1988), Co-Producer in Season 36 (2007), and Producer in Season 37 (2008), although she later shared Producer duties with long-time staff member Adam Sandler (not to be confused with the actor of the same name, who coincidentally appeared with Barker in the 1995 movie "Happy Gilmore" and made occasional appearances on the show) in Season 38 (2009). Fingers left the show on January 27, 2011; to celebrate her retirement, the second half of the show featured only three pricing games that we're created by her as of which are: Pick-A-Pair, Line 'Em Up & Secret 'X', in the episode only Pick-A-Pair was won while both Line 'Em Up & Secret 'X' were lost. According to the episode which had been said by current announcer George Gray, Greco has worked on Price for no more than 6,618 episodes in total.

Nickname[]

She was nicknamed "Fingers" after she gave host Bob Barker a back rub in the early 1980s. He was suffering from a herniated disc and sciatica at the time. Barker mentioned she had "magic fingers". The nickname stuck and was shortened to "Fingers". She married golf pro-Frank "Thumbs" Greco shortly after, coincidentally her husband once appeared as a model on an episode of Price in 1998. One of her main responsibilities, prior to being promoted to Producer, was to document everything which occurred on the show, including all contestants' responses, wins, and losses.

Trivia[]

  • In 1986, she performed a dance known as the "Gator" with crew member Andrew S. The pictures and the video footages are available in the link descriptions below.
  • In 1993, she joined Barker, Janice Pennington, Holly Hallstrom, and Kathleen Bradley as part of The Price is Right team that took on The Young and the Restless team (which also featured former future syndicated Price host Doug Davidson) in a special "Barker's Beauties vs. Soap Stars" week of Family Feud hosted by the late Ray Combs.
  • In 1994, she became one of the tryout models for a day on an episode of The Price is Right where she modeled for a patio group (with Kathleen, Janice & Holly), a rug and a dinette set and appeared behind the set of the Grand Game although she still had headphones on.
  • In 1998, (as mentioned above) her husband Frank appeared as a model for a set of golf clubs on an episode of The Price is Right.
  • In 1999, a showcase featuring a picture of her as an "Employee of the Month" contains a computer by COMPAQ, a set of golf clubs & bags by Knight and a trailer by Fleetwood RV.
  • In 2000, in honor of her birthday former host Bob Barker made Greco do his "inspirational putt" in the classic pricing game Hole in One (or Two) as it sinked in.
  • In 2001, she briefly appeared "caught" on TV "literally" sleeping on the job while Rosie Tenison modeled a 50" inch Projection TV by Zenith as the first item up for bids (or IFUB).
