The Price is Right: A Tribute to Bob Barker, was a one-hour special honoring the life and career of the beloved late television legend and animal rights activist, who was a longstanding member of the CBS family. Current Price is Right host Drew Carey presented clips from Barker's 35 years of hosting the show, and also highlighted his earlier career on the radio and hosting Truth or Consequences, including the first episode where Ralph Edwards introduced him with the quote: "Remember this name; you're going to be hearing a lot about him. Here he is, ladies and gentlemen: Mr. Bob Barker!" Clips from Barker's three appearances on the Carey show, as well as the entire playing of Lucky $even from Barker's April Fool's appearance in 2015, were shown, as was the fight scene with Adam Sandler (the actor, and not the Price director) from the 1996 film Happy Gilmore. As a result, no gameplay was involved, nor were other members of the show's cast present. This special is the first aired episode to be taped at Haven Studios (the show's new home in Glendale, sans audience), although several episodes for Season 52 had been shot while Barker was still alive.
The special originally aired on August 31, 2023 at 8:00 PM; it was rerun on September 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM, to coincide with the 51st anniversary of the Barker show's debut, and again on December 12, 2023 on what would have been Barker's 100th birthday.
