Season 14 (1985-1986)[]
Daytime[]
Pricing game calendar for Season 14, hosted by Scorpz.
Week 1 (579): September 9-13
- Somewhere around this point in time, the show appears to stop doing one-car cash game episodes again, this time permanently; the exact changeover point cannot be determined due to our inability in many cases to tell whether a lineup only offers one car or plays a non-car game for a car.
- On Monday, before the first item up for bids, Bob reads a congratulatory telegram sent to him by Mark Goodson, congratulating him and the entire Price staff on celebrating 14 years on CBS.
- On Monday, Barker's Bargain Bar is once again played without its neon-lit sign present.
- On Monday, Safe Crackers is played for a Jeep.
- On Wednesday, One Away debuts its current horn sound effect.
- On Thursday, Range Game is played for a car.
- On Thursday the $1000 graphic in On The Nose is blue. This is the only time that occurred.
- Friday's show features the debut of Bump.
- Very early in Bump's existence, the game's logo bore a significantly closer resemblance to the UK's flag, with a large amount of blue accompanying the white background; these areas would all be repainted a faded shade of red a few weeks later.
Week 2 (580): September 16-20
- On Tuesday, Barker's Bargain Bar's neon-lit sign is now present again.
- On Tuesday, during Money Game, an error is made by the art department with the front and back of the car silhouette being reversed in the car price.
- On Tuesday, during the end credits, Johnny announces that the contestant who played Money Game was awarded $3,500 in addition to the item up for bids' prize (a Suntan tanning system) due to a pricing discrepancy.
Week 3 (581): Unaired, September 23-27
- Originally scheduled for September 23, 23-27.
- This week consists of six episodes, with two Monday shows. For reasons unknown, the original Monday show, #5811D, was never aired; an episode dubbed #58XXD (read: "five hundred eighty-X X D") with the same games was taped to replace it on September 2 and was broadcast on September 23.
- As Monday's replacement episode is taped out of order, the set changes after the summer taping break is effective on this episode:
- The borders of Contestant's Row is green.
- The pink portions of the Plinko sign is glittery pink; presumably, this episode is the first taped episode with the sign update.
- The blue portions of the "Bump" sign are changed to a faded shade of red.
- The "bumping" sound effect in Bump is used.
- On Tuesday, Most Expensive debuts a unique set of price tags with graphics similar to its set.
- On Wednesday, in an unusual move, a supply of Tootsie Pops candy is offered along with the car in the Card Game.
- Thursday's episode features the first appearance of 5-digit Switcheroo.
- On Friday, Safe Crackers is played for a car.
Week 4 (582): September 30-October 4
- On Monday, during Blank Check, the contestant (Regan) accidentally breaks the quill pen, prompting Bob to have someone off-camera fetch another pen to use.
- Circumstantial evidence suggests that Fremantle does not currently possess an airable copy of Wednesday's show.
- On Thursday, Most Expensive is played for three trips.
- Friday's first Showcase Showdown is the first known instance of having four spin-offs. After the third spin-off, one of the pegs on the wheel breaks off, Bob takes the peg and screw it back onto the wheel himself.
- By Friday, the "bumping" sound effect in Bump has come into use.
Week 5 (583): October 7-11
- On Monday, during Give or Keep, Bob mentions how the contestant (Daniela) bares a resemblance to staff member Lori Lampell, very much so, he invites Lori to come up on-stage and does a side-by-side comparison of the two ladies.
- On Monday, the current Grocery Game table is introduced, but the old sign and cash register still remain.
- Tuesday's show features the first known appearance of Big Money Game.
- On Tuesday, despite being played as Big Money Game, the car graphics are present on the slots for the car's price.
- On Friday, Ten Chances is played with one of the cards missing.
- Friday's Ten Chances has one of the rare exceptions to the zero rule, with a first prize that costs $39.
- On Saturday, October 12, Johnny Olson passes away. The 24 remaining episodes with him announcing air over the next month and a half.
Week 6 (584): October 14-18
- During this week, all episodes end with an edited-in segment in which Bob gives a brief tribute to Johnny.
- On Monday, Check-Out is won with a difference of only $0.02.

- On Thursday, the pink portions of the Plinko sign are changed to glittery pink.
- On Friday, the audience curtains return to the maroon-silver pattern.
- On Friday, before the second contestant call down of the day, Bob acknowledges his mother, Tilly's birthday and the audience and Johnny give her a birthday shout-out.
- On Friday, Safe Crackers' appearance is changed slightly; dark strips are added around the bolts, and the "Safe Crackers" sign is replaced with new letters made of green lights. The new logo is also in a different font.
- On Friday, in addition to Safe Crackers' new look, the second Danger Price set is introduced. The game's stop sign backdrops have not yet been introduced; the game's only prop is the board itself.
Week 7 (585): October 21-25
- On Monday, Grand Game's intro starts including a red "Ten Thousand" graphic that zooms onto the screen much like the show's logo does at the end of the opening.

- On Friday, Bob has a contestant plug next week's Home Viewer Showcase before the fifth Item up for Bids.
Week 10 (588): November 11-15
- Gene Wood announces this week of shows, which was taped out of order.
- After Johnny's death, the words "which are" are added before "coming up on the second half of The Price Is Right" in the mid-show bumper spiel; these words were present on the earliest hour shows and were presumably something that Johnny had simply chosen to leave out.
- On all shows this week, the Home Viewer Showcase "Christmas Wishes" is presented.

Syndication[]
For the second time in its history, a syndicated version of TPIR debuts. It only lasts for this season. Among the notable changes compared to the daytime show:
- Tom Kennedy hosts
- There are two opening titles instead of just one: "All New" flashes twice, followed by "Tom Kennedy"
- The opening spiel is "Here it is! All new! And this audience is sparkling with excitement, because a fortune in fabulous prizes may be theirs if they know when The Price is Right!" On some episodes, the spiel may have been altered to "A show that's sparkling with excitement..."
- On at least the first episode, the opening shows all three doors open, with an apparent "preview" of some of the prizes to be offered. By the last episode, the standard audience shot was in use.
- The prize budget is higher, as was the case with the Dennis James version. Most notably, "Big Money Game" appears more often on this show than it does in daytime, once causing the fandom to incorrectly believe that Big Money Game only appeared on this version.
- Each episode is only a half hour long, using the standard half-hour format.
- The ticket and consolation prize plugs appear as their own segments, using graphics with the same "outer space" theme as the Giant Price Tag.
