Season 41 (2012-2013)[]

Pricing game calendar for Season 41, hosted by Scorpz.

Note: Planning for Season 41 appears to have begun with the logical but ultimately incorrect assumption that the TV season would start on September 17, as evidenced by the nonsensical placement of the Halloween show on November 7 when working from a season premiere date of September 24. With this in mind, everything through Week 8, the last week with any episodes taped at the same session as the shows surrounding the Halloween program, has been given an "originally scheduled" date that reflects a start date of September 17. By Week 9, the week of Thanksgiving, the staff had clearly become aware of the mistake and adjusted the schedule accordingly.

Week 1 (1,602 – 603xK): September 24-28

  • Originally scheduled for September 17-21.
  • On Monday, Ryan Polito becomes the show's director, and Evelyn Warfel becomes a co-executive producer.
  • On Monday, the new light border first seen on the 40th-anniversary show is introduced permanently; graphics on the plasma screens continue to use the Season 40 light border.
  • On Monday, the new Big Doors and accompanying TPIR logos first seen on the 40th-anniversary show are introduced permanently; this logo is also incorporated into Door #4, whose own background is altered to point straight at the stage instead of being slanted.
  • Monday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we kick off the 41st season of The Price Is Right!"
  • On Monday, all instances of the "40 Years" logo revert to the regular logo.
  • On Monday, a new animation is introduced for the opening logo. In it, the rat from the Rat Race logo, a Let 'em Roll cube, a Plinko chip, the mountain climber, and the Big Wheel all fly into the center of the screen and are enclosed within the TPIR logo as it flies in; the logo itself is also given a more metallic appearance to better match the one on Door #2. This animation is also used for the closed-captioning plugs and the mid-show bumper.
  • Beginning on Monday, TPIR dollar signs akin to the "40 Years" signs are attached to the walls between the Big Doors; accompanying this, the dollar sign seen at the beginning of the opening has its "40 Years" text removed.
  • On this week's shows, "41 Years” signs are placed on the dollar signs between the Big Doors.
  • On Monday, Rachel's husband appears during the second Item up for Bids to announce with her that she is pregnant; the IUFB, an iPad, turns out to be showing pictures of her latest sonogram.
  • On Monday, all four Barker's Beauties are present, although Gwendolyn only appears during the second Item up for Bids and the credits.
  • On Monday, Double Cross's think music changes.
  • On this week's shows, the PriceIsRight.com plugs promote a male Barker's Beauty search taking place online; viewers are encouraged to visit the website and vote on their favorite model beginning on September 28, with the winner appearing on a full week of shows later in the season (which, due to episodes being produced out of order, would end up not being the first shows to include him in the cast).
  • On Monday, PriceIsRight.com plugs begin to include the show's Twitter account.
  • Beginning on Monday, various remixes of the theme play while returning from commercial during the Showcase.
  • On Tuesday, Golden Road's rainbow is replaced with a four-piece car backdrop showing a picture of a rainbow.
  • Thursday's show celebrates the 10,000th episode of The Young and the Restless, which aired on CBS later the same day. Melody Thomas Scott, Joshua Morrow, Christel Khalil, and Daniel Goddard, the portrayers of Nikki Newman, Nicholas Newman, Lily Winters, and Cane Ashby, appear on the show to help present the Showcase and also act as models at various times during the course of the episode; most notably, Melody and Joshua operate 1/2 Off in lieu of the Barker's Beauties.
  • On Thursday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience is given a copy of The Young and Restless Life of William J. Bell, a biography of the creator of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful; Drew also encourages viewers to visit PriceIsRight.com for a chance to win an autographed copy of the book.
  • Beginning on Friday, Pay the Rent has two right answers.

Week 2 (1,603 – 604xK): October 5, 9-12

  • Originally scheduled for September 24-28.
  • This week of shows, as well as next Monday, are the first tapings of the season; they are directed by Adam Sandler, with Ryan Polito observing.
  • On Monday, as tape dates jump back two months from Week 1, Door #4 temporarily regains its background from Season 40.
  • On Monday, as tape dates jump back two months from Week 1, the Big Doors take on a notably different appearance: The metal strip along the bottom becomes two strips; the logo goes back to being painted on the doors, although it retains its new design; and Door #1 becomes a markedly more brownish shade of orange. The doors gradually revert to the way they looked on the season premiere over the coming weeks.
  • On Monday, in a segment taped separately from the rest of the episode, Drew announces the winner of the male Barker's Beauty search, Rob, at the top of Act 6; his comment about viewers voting "over the past week" refers to the fact that the show was broadcast on a Friday.
  • On Monday, the spinning device in Magic # stops working in the middle of the game; it remains broken for at least one subsequent playing.
  • On Tuesday, Ryan Polito takes over directing permanently.
  • On Tuesday, Drew almost goes straight to the inspiration putt in Hole in One before realizing he hasn't revealed the prices of the groceries yet; ironically, he subsequently forgets to do the inspiration putt.

Week 3 (1,604 – 605xK): October 22-26

  • Originally scheduled for October 1-5.
  • On Monday, with only two Beauties present, George handles one of the price tags in Most Expen$ive.
  • On Tuesday, jewelry designer Melinda Maria helps to present the fourth Item up for Bids, a collection of her jewelry.
  • Thursday's show is billed as a "baby shower;" everyone in the audience is pregnant, and all of the prizes are sponsored by TheBump.com
  • On Thursday, Door #4's background is a turquoise field with cascading sunburst patterns.
  • On Thursday, the graphical logo is flanked by rattles; the logo on Door #4 is also backed by a baby bonnet. In addition to the usual spots, the logo appears during every commercial outro.
  • Thursday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we throw a baby shower on The Price Is Right!"
  • On Thursday, every onstage contestant receives a year's supply of diapers and baby wipes as a bonus for winning their Item up for Bids; the prize package is described before the first game and is reviewed with a small graphic before each subsequent game.
  • On Thursday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience receives a gift package from TheBump.com; this also serves as the day's PriceIsRight.com plug, with George instructing viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of the said gift packages.

Week 4 (1,605 – 606xK): February 4-7, June 25

  • Originally scheduled for October 8-12.
  • Originally rescheduled for February 4-7, June 25.
  • Originally rerescheduled for February 4-7, June 24.
  • This week's episodes use a new set of Play at Home graphics; they do not become permanent immediately and only appear on these shows because they were broadcast drastically out of order.
  • This week's shows display the Season 41 logo at the end of the short credits, again presumably because they were aired drastically out of order; this becomes standard procedure later in the season. Oddly, the full credits follow standard procedure and use the Season 39 logo.
  • On Tuesday, Connor, Drew's former fiance's son, comes through the Big Doors with Drew and remains onstage through the end of the second game.
  • On Wednesday, Door #4's new background returns permanently.
  • On Wednesday, the 3D logos on the Big Doors are introduced permanently; the doors themselves are not updated yet.

Week 5 (1,606 – 607xK): November 12-16

  • Originally scheduled for October 15-19.
  • For no apparent reason, Monday's opening ends with the Season 39 logo animation.
  • After Monday, Gwendolyn goes on maternity leave.
  • On Tuesday, designer Danielle DiFernando appears to help present the prize package for Secret "X", a set of her accessories.
  • On Wednesday, Connor, Drew's former fiance's son, comes through the Big Doors with Drew and remains onstage through the end of the second game.
  • By Wednesday, a new, multi-tiered small prize display has been introduced for Switcheroo.
  • On Friday, Check-Out is played for a car.

Week 6 (1,607 – 608xK): October 1-4, 8

  • Originally scheduled for October 22-26.
  • Monday's show is themed around Breast Cancer Awareness Month; everyone in the audience has fought or is fighting breast cancer.
  • On Monday, Door #4 and George's podium have pink backgrounds with cascading sunbursts; additionally, the dollar sign on George's podium is replaced with a pink ribbon.
  • On Monday, the graphical TPIR logo is flanked by pink ribbons; in addition to the usual spots, this logo appears during every commercial outro.
  • Monday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month on The Price Is Right!"
  • Many of the prizes on Monday's show are sponsored by Ford Warriors in Pink; additionally, the sponsor provides scarves for everyone in the audience and donates $10,000 to the Dr. Susan Love Foundation in the name of the Plinko contestant.
  • On Monday and Friday, which were taped out of order, the Big Doors have the shiny appearance and the solid metal base strips that had been present during Week 1.
  • On Monday, with only two Beauties present, George helps to operate 2 for the Price of 1.
  • On Monday, George's call down window and its dollar sign are pink.
  • On Monday, the ticket plug and PriceIsRight.com graphics are pink.
  • On Monday through Thursday this week, Drew reminds viewers to go to PriceIsRight.com and vote for the male models "who were on last week;" this refers to season premiere week, which was broadcast the week before these episodes.
  • On Thursday, an awkward edit during Temptation results in contestant Oralia answering Drew's question of whether she wants to change any numbers in the car's price by stating that she will take the gifts.
  • On Friday, everyone in the audience is a teacher.
  • Friday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute teachers on a special episode of The Price Is Right!"
  • On Friday, George introduces Drew as "Your principal, Drew Carey!"
  • By Friday, the lever on Rat Race that originally started the race but became non-functional on the game's second playing has been removed.
  • On Friday, Drew mentions that they are playing Double Cross for the third time; this refers to the show being the third episode taped with Double Cross in the lineup.

Week 7 (1,608 – 609xK): October 29-November 2

  • On Tuesday, the Big Doors take on their shiny appearance from Week 1 permanently; the solid metal strip at the base of the doors becomes permanent, as well.
  • Wednesday's show is a Halloween episode themed as a carnival, complete with set decorations, some carnival-themed music (most notably the mostly retired Pick a Pair cue, which appears during the fourth Item up for Bids), and some carnival-themed prizes.
  • On Wednesday, everyone in the audience is dressed in a Halloween costume.
  • On Wednesday, the background on Door #4 and George's podium is a spinning Ferris wheel; a dollar sign in the center of the Ferris wheel also takes the place of the Pricedown dollar sign on George's podium.
  • On Wednesday, the graphical logo has the words "Happy Halloween" at its base; in addition to the usual spots, this logo also appears during every commercial outro.
  • In step with the carnival theme, Wednesday's opening spiel is preceded by, "Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls!"
  • On Wednesday, the first four contestants are told to "Step right up" instead of "Come on down."
  • Wednesday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate Halloween with a carnival right here on The Price Is Right!"
  • On Wednesday, the cast dresses up as various members of a circus troupe: George is contortionist, utilizing a pair of fake legs; Manuela is a snake charmer, complete with a live and presumably non-poisonous snake; Amber is a bearded lady; Rachel is a strongman; and Drew, somewhat ironically, is a barker.
  • On Wednesday, much of George's copy is written as though he were a carnival barker.
  • In Wednesday's Punch a Bunch, Drew's portrait on the $25,000 bill includes his barker get-up.
  • On Wednesday, George's call-down window is decorated as a circus tent, and its dollar sign is red.
  • On Wednesday, Pick-a-Number is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, which was taped out of order, the Big Wheel's beeps are noticeably more staccato than usual.
  • On Wednesday, in an unusual move, three small prize games are played; additionally, two of them are cash games.
  • On Thursday and Friday, Daniel Goddard appears as a male Barker's Beauty.

Week 8 (1,609 – 610xK): November 5-9

  • Tuesday's show is themed around Election Day; as such, the set is decorated, the background on Door #4 and George's podium is a waving American flag, and the dollar sign on George's podium is blue. Additionally, the Turntable walls flash red, white, and blue during the credits, and many of the prizes somehow allude to patriotism.
  • On Wednesday, for no apparent reason, Door #4's previous background is used.
  • On Wednesday and Thursday, a man named Johannes Brugger -- presumably the same one from Season 40's Mother's Day episode -- appears as a male Barker's Beauty.
  • Friday show is a Veterans' Day-themed episode.
  • On Friday, everyone in the audience is a member of the military.
  • On Friday, The Star-Spangled Banner, played by a marine band in the audience, is heard instead of "Walking" and the theme during the opening, as well as during the credits; it and various other patriotic songs are also used during all commercial outros (except, oddly, the one from the first part of the Showcase, during which no music is played), and the theme is not played at these times even if pricing games are won. The theme is heard in its usual places in the first closed-captioning plug and while returning from the last two commercials.
  • On Friday, the logo in the opening and on Door #4 is surrounded by a ring with stars and the words "Salute to the Military". This ring also appears on the logo on the logo that flies onto the bottom of the screen for the closed-captioning and consolation prize plugs and after the fourth game, which appears before every commercial on this episode.
  • On Friday, the square pattern on Door #4 is replaced with an image of the American flag; this also serves as the background for George's podium, whose dollar sign is tinted blue.
  • On Friday, the light strips around the audience spend the show either displaying blue or cascading red, white, and blue; the latter occurs mostly during the opening, come on downs, and commercial outros.
  • On Friday, the contestants' ranks are read with their names as they are called to come on down.
  • Friday's opening spiel ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute the military on The Price Is Right!"
  • On Friday, the set is decorated for Veterans' Day.
  • On Friday, Drew is flanked by members of the Cal State Fullerton Army ROTC color guard during his entrance.
  • On Friday, the light strips around the Big Doors are red on Door #1, white on Door #2, and blue on Door #3 for much of the show.
  • On Friday, during the opening and the credits, the squares on the Turntable wall flash red, white, and blue; during much of the rest of the show, the walls show these colors in vertical stripes.
  • On Friday, the Contestants' Row displays show the insignias of their contestants until the contestant in question makes a bid.
  • On Friday, many of the audience members do not have name tags; as Drew points out less unflatteringly during the first Item up for Bids, the commandant of the Marine Corps, in a rather jerky move, had not allowed them to be worn.
  • On Friday, patriotic designs are shown on the envelopes and cards for the prices of the Items up for Bids and the showcases.
  • On Friday, after the second and fourth games, soldiers stationed overseas are shown saying hello to Drew and the contestants as the show goes to commercial.
  • On Friday, George's call-down window is red and blue with white lights, and the accompanying dollar sign is blue.
  • As of Friday, Triple Play is no longer exclusively played as the first game.

Week 9 (1,610 – 611xK): November 21, 20, & 19

  • Thanksgiving week; only three shows.
  • Originally scheduled for November 19-21.
  • By Tuesday, the metallic Season 41 logo has begun to be used at the end of the full credits; the Season 39 logo continues to be used in the short credits.
  • Wednesday is Rob's first show; ironically, the week of shows he won in the model search, which was produced and aired drastically out of order, does not come for another eight weeks, during which time he appears on numerous other episodes.
  • On Wednesday, the Big Wheel's staccato beeps are again present.
  • In Wednesday's Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber is dressed as a pilgrim, as is the graphic of it in the camera transition during the small prize plugs.
  • On Wednesday, Iron Chef personality Cat Cora appears to help present the second showcase. At the end of the said showcase, Drew announces that everyone in the audience will receive a copy of Cora's book, Cat Cora's Classics with a Twist, and urges viewers to visit PriceIsRight.com for a chance to win a copy of said book.
  • On Wednesday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience also receives a two-pack of half-pound Reese Cups.

Week 10 (1,611 – 612xK): December 3-7

  • Beginning on Monday, and continuing through the Christmas episodes, each show's first Item up for Bids is designated "The Holiday Gift Idea of the Day;" this is presented largely by way of dressing the prizes up as Christmas presents.
  • On Tuesday, a set of police lights, accompanied by sirens, is added to Danger Price.
  • On Tuesday, for no apparent reason, That's Too Much!'s "think" cue is used in Line em Up.
  • Wednesday's show features pairs of contestants consisting of a grandparent and one of their grandchildren.
  • Wednesday's opening ends with, "You are the first eight contestants as we celebrate grandparents today on The Price Is Right!"
  • On Wednesday, Secret "X" is played for a car -- specifically, a restored 1951 Chevrolet Bel Air.
  • Friday is Drew's 1,000th daytime show.
  • On Friday, the graphical logo has beneath it the text, "Drew's 1,000th Show", flanked by Drew's glasses; in addition to the usual spots, this logo appears during every commercial outro.
  • On Friday, Door #4 is flanked by balloons.
  • Friday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate Drew Carey's 1,000th episode of The Price Is Right!"
  • On Friday, all of the prizes were picked out by Drew.
  • On Friday, during the commercial outros after the second through sixth games, various CBS personalities congratulate Drew on hosting his 1,000th episode.
  • On Friday, the staccato Big Wheel beeps return permanently.
  • Friday is a three-car day; this is only the second time this has occurred since Roger's lineups ran out in Season 37.
  • On Friday, Rat Race is played for a restored 1956 Mercury Montclair.
  • On Friday, Drew helps to present the showcases.

Week 11 (1,612 – 613xK): December 10-14

  • On Monday, a remix of The Bean Stalker is used for Spelling Bee's car. The cue is not used again for the remainder of the season.
  • On Monday, Hi-Lo is played for a car.
  • On Tuesday, Magic #'s spinning device begins working again.
  • On Thursday, after Freeze Frame's trip plug, Drew announces that everyone in the audience is receiving 10 LivingSocial DealBucks.

Week 12 (1,613 – 614xK): December 17-21

  • On Monday, the Play at Home graphics first seen in Week 4 are introduced permanently.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, the set is decorated for Christmas.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, the light strips around the audience cascade red and white.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, Christmasy backgrounds appear on Door #4 and George's podium.
  • On Tuesday and Wednesday, the graphical logo has the words "Happy Holidays!" at its base, flanked by Christmas ornaments; the extra graphics have red text and green ornaments on Tuesday and green text and red ornaments on Wednesday. In addition to the usual spots, this logo appears during every commercial outro.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, the Turntable walls flash red and green during the opening and the credits.
  • On Tuesday and Wednesday, the dollar sign on George's podium is red.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, George's call down window and its dollar sign are red, and the window is wearing a Santa hat.
  • On Tuesday, the blue strips on the front of Pick-a-Pair are redone with a faux-neon appearance.
  • On Tuesday through next Monday, the ticket plug and other similar graphics are green or red instead of blue or yellow.
  • On Thursday through next Monday, the graphical logo is wearing a Santa hat. In addition to the usual spots, this logo appears during every commercial outro.
  • On Thursday through next Monday, the dollar sign on George's podium is blue.
  • On Thursday, Range Game is played for a car.
  • On Friday, Pay the Rent is decorated for Christmas.
  • On Friday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience receives a five-pound Hershey bar; Drew also encourages viewers to visit PriceIsRight.com for a chance to win one of the said candy bars.

Week 13 (1,614 – 615xK): December 24, February 8, December 26, February 11, December 28

  • Originally scheduled for December 24-28.
  • Monday is the last episode with the Christmas themes mentioned in last week's notes.
  • Tuesday's show was originally planned as a Christmas show; that theme was scrapped, and the episode was rescheduled and used to promote the Grammy Awards during the Showcase. It is not known why this show was used for that purpose instead of one that fell closer to the airdate of the Grammys in the normal schedule.
  • On Tuesday, a number of small changes are made to the Switcheroo board: The "Switcheroo" logo is redone in a slightly different, thinner font; blue lights are installed in the holes in the board; white lights are installed behind the three leftmost white stripes; the dollar sign panel is removed, and a dollar sign is affixed to the board in its place; and shadows are added to the numbers on the blocks.
  • On Tuesday, Switcheroo uses a vertical small prize prop; this set change becomes permanent later in the season.
  • On Tuesday, the Pricedown dollar sign statue seen at the top of the show is also placed between the Turntable and Door #1 during the Showcase Showdowns; this happens intermittently for several weeks due to out-of-order tapings but eventually becomes a permanent change.
  • On Tuesday, Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough, the stars of Safe Haven, appear remotely to help present the first showcase, which is centered around the movie.
  • On Tuesday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience receives a Grammys CD and a copy of the Safe Haven book upon which the movie is based; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as Drew instructs viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of the said CDs or an autographed copy of said book.
  • On Wednesday, Drew encourages viewers to visit PriceIsRight.com to vote for prizes for next Monday's show -- something that makes little sense, as the show in question had already been taped when this one aired.
  • On Friday, Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler appears to help present the second showcase, which is themed around the pageant.

Week 14 (1,615 – 616xK): December 31-January 4

  • Monday's show is themed around New Year's, offering what is supposedly everyone's favorite prizes of 2012.
  • Monday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate the best of 2012 on The Price Is Right!"
  • On Monday, four Barker's Beauties are present.
  • In an unusual move, Monday's show has two small prize games and a grocery item game.
  • On Monday, the Pricedown dollar sign statue is present during the Showcase Showdowns.
  • On Tuesday, the graphical logo has "Happy New Year!" at its base; in addition to the usual spots, this logo also appears during every commercial outro.
  • On Tuesday, Door #4's background is a blue curtain with sparkles shooting in front of it.
  • On Tuesday, before the second Showcase Showdown, Drew points out the retired Fingers, who is in the audience.
  • On Tuesday, the metallic Season 41 logo is added to the short credits.
  • On Friday, Most Expen$ive is accidentally played without the "Most Expen$ive" sign.
  • On Friday, Bullseye is played for a car -- specifically, a restored 1965 Ford Mustang GT convertible.

Week 15 (1,616 – 617xK): October 15-19

  • Originally scheduled for January 7-11.
  • This week's episodes, the first shows taped with Rob, were produced shortly after his victory in the online model search earlier in the season; his appearance on them was his prize for winning the contest. His presence causes all of this week's episodes besides Monday's to have four Barker's Beauties.
  • On Monday and Tuesday, Drew refers to the model search webisodes while talking to Rob as a way to do extra PriceIsRight.com plugs; Rob also helps to present Monday's second showcase, which is centered around him.
  • All five of this week's episodes feature Play at Home.
  • This week's Play at Home segments use the graphics package last seen in Week 11, as the episodes were aired drastically out of order.

Week 16 (1,617 – 618xK): January 14-18

  • On Monday, Golden Road's prize coves are replaced by Bonus Game and Shell Game's small prize turntable.
  • On Wednesday, George models the third prize in Most Expen$ive.
  • On Thursday and Friday, the Pricedown dollar sign statue is present during the Showcase Showdowns.
  • On Friday, everyone in the audience is a nurse.
  • Friday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute nurses on The Price Is Right!"

Week 17 (1,618 – 619xK): February 21, 18, 20, 22, & 19.

  • Originally scheduled for January 21-25.
  • Originally rescheduled for February 18-22.
  • On all shows this week, a celebrity helps the contestants play their pricing games -- Charles Barkley on Monday, Drew and Nick Lachey on Tuesday, Sharon Osbourne on Wednesday, Demi Lovato on Thursday, and NeNe Leakes on Friday. The celebrities also help to present the showcases each day.
  • The celebrity guests this week win the equivalent of the contestants' pricing game winnings in cash for the various charities they are playing for; they also spin the Big Wheel at the beginning of the second Showcase Showdown and win cash in the value of their spin times $100 (or, alternately, the value of cents spun times 10,000). Charles Barkley plays for the Mustard Seed School, a private school in Sacramento; the Lachey brothers play for Camp Joy, a camp near Cincinnati that helps disadvantaged youths; Sharon Osbourne plays for the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program, part of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Hospital; Demi Lovato plays for Free the Children, a global youth-empowerment organization; and NeNe Leakes plays for Saving Our Daughters, a program focused on building young girls' self-esteem and fighting domestic abuse. The celebrities' total winnings are shown via onscreen graphic after their spin lands.
  • On Monday, Gwendolyn appears, the episode having been taped drastically out of order before her maternity leave began.
  • On all shows this week, the Pricedown dollar sign statue is present during the Showcase Showdowns.
  • On this week's shows, a preview of the guest from the next day's broadcast is shown at the end of the second Showcase Showdown; as no consecutive episodes were actually aired on consecutive days this week, this results in such things as Friday's show having a preview of Wednesday's program and Thursday's show having no preview of anything.
  • On each show this week, before the final Showcase-reveal, Drew instructs viewers to visit PriceIsRight.com for a chance to win autographed copies of the celebrities' name tags.
  • On Tuesday, the first showcase includes a Cincinnati Reds VIP package; the contestants are instructed not to include this while bidding, as it cannot reasonably be assigned a price.
  • On Thursday, Squeeze Play is played for a car.
  • Friday's Grocery Game contestant, Anitra Gonzales, tells Drew before the first Showcase Showdown that she was, in fact, named after Anitra.
  • In Friday's second Showcase Showdown, Drew mistakenly resets the Big Wheel to 5 instead of the dollar after NeNe Leakes's spin; as celebrity episodes occur infrequently, it is hard to say whether this is strictly wrong or simply unusual.
  • On the TV broadcast of Friday's episode, an editing mistake results in the contestants' bids being visible at the beginning of the Showcase, along with the showcases' descriptions; the online version of the episode, which was not uploaded until the following day, presumably to allow for extra editing time, does not contain this error.

Week 18 (1,619 – 620xK): January 7-11

  • Originally scheduled for January 28-February 1.
  • On Monday, for no apparent reason, Cover Up uses Line em Up and Push Over's think music.
  • On Wednesday and Thursday, for no apparent reason, four Barker's Beauties are present.
  • On Thursday, the Pricedown dollar sign statue is added to the Showcase Showdowns permanently.
  • On Friday, Balance Game is played for a car.

Week 19 (1,620 – 621xK): January 28-February 1

  • Originally scheduled for February 4-8.
  • On Thursday and Friday, in an unusual move, two small prize games are played.
  • Friday's show is loosely themed around the Super Bowl; most of the prizes offered are at least tangentially related to football in some way.
  • On Friday, NFL GameDay host Rich Eisen and former San Francisco 49er Super Bowl champion Eric Davis appear to help present the Showcase.
  • On Friday, during the last commercial, everyone in the audience receives a hat with the logo of one of the NFL teams.

Week 20 (1,621 – 622xK): December 27, February 12-15

  • Originally scheduled for February 11-15.
  • On Tuesday, the first showcase features trips to "the mountain climber's favorite destinations," with graphics of him visiting the places in question.
  • On Wednesday, an unidentified contestant was disqualified after the taping when it was discovered that he or she was ineligible.

Throughout the show, the Beauties take turns hosting and announcing: Gwendolyn hosts Act 1 and the second Showcase Showdown and announces Acts 3 and 6; Amber hosts Acts 3 and 6 and announces Acts 1 and 4; Manuela hosts Acts 2 and 4 and announces both closed-captioning plugs and Act 5, and Rob hosts the first Showcase Showdown and Act 5 and announces Act 2. • On Friday, which was taped out of order, a Pricedown dollar sign statue is placed between the Turntable and Door #1 for the duration of the show besides the Showcase, supplanting the smaller statue that had been occupying that spot during Showcase Showdowns. This change becomes permanent later in the season.
  • On Friday, the second showcase includes, as a bonus, two tickets to the ACM Awards and two tickets to ACM Presents Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night; the contestants are instructed not to include this while bidding. • On Tuesday, in an unusual move, Drew reveals the location of the $250,000 slip at the end of Punch a Bunch.
  • In Wednesday's 6-digit 3 Strikes, the contestant is required to place all six numbers; this is noteworthy for having required a partial rewiring of the 3 Strikes board, as the leftmost window was previously incapable of being turned on or off during gameplay.

  • On Thursday and Friday, the Pricedown dollar sign statue is present between the Turntable and Door #1.
  • On Thursday, when Grand Game is lost with $1,000 on contestant Jamie's third guess, the board operator mistakenly takes her winnings back to 0, presumably because losing with $1,000 is something that normally occurs on the final guess, under which circumstance the contestant does lose their money. Drew subsequently confirms that Jamie had won $1,000 when she spins the Big Wheel.
  • On Friday, "Push Over" uses the alternate light cover that was present on it intermittently during Season 28.
