Season 49 (2020-2021)[]

Pricing game calendar for Season 49, hosted by Scorpz.

Note: As production of the show was not able to restart with COVID-19 protocols in place until October 4, no new episodes were available to air at the traditional start of the season; as such, after the regular summer reruns for Season 48 ended, eight additional weeks of themed repeats from as far back as Season 40 were aired, with new daytime shows finally beginning on November 16. The rerun themes are as follows:

  • September 21-25 is a "best of" set of celebrity charity episodes.
  • September 28-October 2 is a rebroadcast of Decades Week, the first week of Season 44.
  • October 5-9 is a "best of" set of shows with celebrity guests.
  • October 12-16 is a countdown of the five biggest winners in the history of the daytime show, with the biggest winner airing on Friday.
  • October 19-23 is a "best of" set of special episodes; notably, Thursday's rerun is the Season 43 April Fool's Day show, on which Bob hosted the first game. These shows had at one point been scheduled to air the week of September 21-25; it is not known why they were moved.
  • October 26-30 is a "best of" set of Halloween episodes.
  • November 2-6 is a set of milestone/celebration episodes.
  • November 9-13 is a set of salutes to public servants and first responders.

Week .33: Night of Tuesday, October 27

  • The Price Is Right at Night 4 (#039SP) airs on Tuesday night.
    • A different episode #039SP that would have served as The Price Is Right at Night 3 was initially planned for Season 48 to go along with episode #040SP; however, because of the pandemic, it was never taped.
  • With Season 48 having essentially ended a month early, this program marks the first broadcast of a new episode of The Price Is Right in nearly five months. Several changes to the production meant to facilitate social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, all of which carry over to the daytime show, are introduced on this episode, as follows:
    • Most notable is the complete removal of the audience. The entire pit is covered by temporary flooring (a process that has already been used in Studio 33 for years for other shows that tape there), and the Contestants' Row displays are placed on color-coded podiums that stand several feet apart from one another in what would normally be the third or fourth row of seats. The potential contestants, of which there are only about 30 at any given taping, are now sequestered backstage; when they are called to come on down, they enter the studio through the doors at what would normally be the back of the audience.
    • With no audience to pan over, the opening is also redone. A montage of clips fades in and out, with drumbeats sounding as each one appears, each more quickly than the one before it; as this happens, George says, "From the famous Bob Barker Studio in Hollywood..." A dollar sign then flies out from the center of the screen, transitioning to a more seamless montage of exciting moments (some of which include audio of Drew or contestants) as "Walking" starts. At this point, George announces, "Here it comes! It's The Price Is Right!" Near the end of the final clip, the screen transitions to a wide shot of Door #4, which is airing the clip in question; the logo then flies onto Door #4 as the light border appears, and Door #4 "closes" behind the logo as George begins to call the first four contestants.
    • All contestants are now mic'd before coming on down, as they cannot stand close enough to Drew to use his microphone.
    • The first four contestants appear to be instructed to go to specific podiums; more often than not, they go, in order, to either red, yellow, blue, and green or yellow, red, green, and blue.
    • Drew now enters the studio already holding his microphone; no Barker's Beauties appear until the first Item up for Bids.
    • When Drew greets George during the opening, the camera cuts directly from one to the other instead of panning across Contestants' Row.
    • Presumably because of the revamped Contestants' Row, Door #4 is generally only used during the opening and the Showcase, and the Basket is not used at all.
    • There is only one, large G-T asterisk in front of Contestants' Row; this serves as an area for winning contestants to celebrate before going to Drew in lieu of climbing the stairs, which also allows Drew to get into place for the game without him and the contestant getting in each other's ways.
    • To maintain social distancing in the Showcase Showdown, the contestants line up off-camera near the Turntable, coming to the Big Wheel one at a time. The leader still stands at the scoreboard, as that is a safe distance from where spinners stand; social distancing is still enforced there in the case of a tie.
    • When contestants need help spinning the Big Wheel, Drew now spins it for them outright.
    • Bargain Game is operated by just one Barker's Beauty.
    • Due to travel restrictions across the globe, the vast majority of trips offered are to destinations within the United States; a select few other places are also used, including Mexico, Canada, and some tropical islands.
    • Balance Game is slightly altered so that only the contestant has to interact with the bag podium; a plastic container is added to it for the souvenir Drew Dollar, and Drew has them place the first bag on the scales by themselves instead of doing it for them.
    • Drew operates Pick-a-Number by himself.
    • The Showcase podiums are placed noticeably farther apart than usual.
    • To maintain social distancing, Drew hosts the Showcase from in front of the spinning turntable panel and begins the last segment of the show already holding both of the prices.
    • In addition to Bob's spay/neuter line, Drew now reminds everyone to wear a mask while signing off.
    • The credits now include a disclaimer explaining that the one-year deadline for contestants to take trips may be extended for up to an additional year if warranted by government restrictions and/or pandemic conditions.
  • Additionally, the following aspects of the special are specific to this episode:
    • Unlike the RuPaul special in Season 48, the borders of the Contestants' Row displays are their usual green.
    • Unlike the RuPaul special in Season 48, the normal light border is used.
    • All of the contestants are essential workers, whose importance to the functioning of society has been brought to the forefront by the pandemic.
    • Unlike previous episodes of The Price Is Right at Night, no celebrities or charities are involved with the episode.
    • Unlike the RuPaul special in Season 48, Drew's entrance uses the normal Barker Wall.
    • Unlike the RuPaul special in Season 48, no dollar sign statues are placed between the Big Doors.
    • The G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are blue.
    • For no apparent reason, the light strip on the border of the Giant Price Tag is shut off during Grand Game. This is fixed later in the show.
    • Grand Game is played for $20,000, with the lower prize values adjusted accordingly.
    • During Cliff Hangers, "On the Franches Mountains" starts from the beginning on every prize.
    • Unlike the RuPaul special in Season 48, music does not play while returning from most commercials besides the ones during the Showcase, although it does play at the start of the second Showcase Showdown.
    • There are no commercial breaks between the first Showcase Showdown and the fourth game or between the fifth and sixth games.
    • For no apparent reason, George is not shown calling down any contestants.
    • Pick-a-Number is played for a car.
  • Beginning with this episode, Drew has a beard, having grown a beard during quarantine and, in his words, decided that he enjoyed not shaving.
  • Beginning with this episode, car winners are not given their "I won this car on The Price Is Right" license plate holder on-camera; this was originally introduced as a COVID protocol but ended up being a permanent change.
  • Beginning with this episode, the $35,000 threshold for putting up a graphic with the Showcase winner's total is eliminated; the graphic is now displayed every day.
  • Beginning with this episode, the Showcase winner's total is always shown with the same graphics used for winning money on the Big Wheel; previously, this had only occurred with double showcase wins.
  • On primetime specials, the "lights" in the graphics for the Showcase winner's total are silver instead of gold.

Week .67: Night of Monday, November 2

  • The Price Is Right at Night 5 (#041SP) airs on Monday night.
  • Instead of regular contestants, this special features the cast of The Neighborhood (Beth Behrs, Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, Cedric the Entertainer, Sheaun McKinney, Hank Greenspan, and Marcel Spears) playing for charity; any cash winnings in pricing games or at the Big Wheel go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, as does the cash equivalent of anything won in the Showcase.
  • No one actually wins the Items up for Bids, nor do they contribute to the charity fund; however, all of them are available to be won by viewers at PriceIsRight.com. Prizes won in the Showcase are added to the charity fund, and the entire package that is won is also available to be won on PriceIsRight.com. Small prizes, on the other hand, appear to be present solely for gameplay purposes. It is unclear whether $500 would be added to the charity fund for a perfect bid in Contestants' Row.
  • A living room area is placed in the back-left corner of the audience for contestants who have played a game; this is presumably considered safe for this episode, as all of the contestants work in the same place.
  • To facilitate the charity format, every game is played for cash. Notably, Vend-O-Price is played for $15,000, Pick-a-Pair is played for $10,000, and Secret "X" is played for $25,000.
  • Presumably to mask the lack of an audience reaction, the money win version of "Dig We Must" is played when a Plinko chip lands in $10,000; this is only done on this episode.
  • A running total of the charity winnings is displayed after each act in which something is won.
  • There is no commercial between the first Showcase Showdown and the fourth game or between the fifth and sixth games.
  • As The Neighborhood only has seven cast members, the "eighth" and "ninth" contestants are the two spinners who had lost the first Showcase Showdown.
  • For no apparent reason, George is not shown calling down any contestants.
  • As he is only 10 and Drew cannot safely go near him, Hank Greenspan's castmates help him spin the Big Wheel.
  • The second showcase is loosely themed around the cast of The Neighborhood.
  • In a somewhat unusual move, the celebrity contestants are included in the credits as "Special Guests."
  • More COVID-19 production changes are introduced, all of which again carry over to the daytime show:
    • A stand is added to Plinko with five chips on it; the contestant takes all of their chips from here, including the free one. The small prize podiums still have chips in them, as well, but they are never removed. (It should be noted that the show has always had a number of extra Plinko chips; there had simply never been a reason before to use nine of them at one time.)
    • Drew never touches the Drew Dollar in Vend-O-Price; the contestant takes it themselves from a shelf on the side of the board.
    • Only one Barker's Beauty runs the small prizes in 1/2 Off. The other Beauty deals with the box, which they move in front of the game, where the contestant then goes to open it.
    • Drew does not interact with the Secret "X" board; the contestant handles the Xs and the reveal.

Week 1 (1,918 – 918xK): November 18, 19, 17, 16, 20

  • Originally scheduled for November 16-20.
  • At this point, because of the out-of-order tapings at the very end of Season 48, the production numbers and overall week numbers line up again for a single month.
  • For Monday's first Item up for Bids only, the bidding is shot in close-up in an attempt to emulate the usual look, with the camera not going below the Contestants' Row displays. This is abandoned immediately afterward in favor of the wider shots of the podiums seen earlier on The Price Is Right at Night.
  • On Monday, the first show taped with COVID protocols in place, when someone wins an Item up for Bids, they go to the G-T asterisk in front of Contestants' Row, at which point George immediately announces the prize for their game; the contestant moves to the game off-screen during the prize descriptions. This is dropped on Tuesday in favor of the socially distant version of the normal procedures seen earlier on The Price Is Right at Night, with the contestant celebrating at the asterisk until Drew calls them to where they need to be for their game.
  • Monday and Tuesday's shows have noticeably more audience sweetening than any of the surrounding episodes.
  • Monday's first car winner does receive their "I won this car on The Price Is Right" license plate holder on-camera.
  • On Monday, the "think" music from That's Too Much! plays during Freeze Frame, presumably to help mask the lack of audience noise; it is only used on this episode.
  • Beginning on Monday, Drew spins the grocery display in Pass the Buck by himself, with the Barker's Beauty staying at the car throughout the game; this was originally introduced as a COVID protocol but ended up being a permanent change.
  • Beginning on Monday, the logo appears on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase; episodes with special logos already appearing in that spot will generally leave them there for this segment.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Tuesday:
    • The contestant executes Push Over's price reveal.
    • The contestant collects their own club and ball in Hole in One.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Wednesday:
    • The Dice Game table is put in place off-camera during the car description, and Drew hosts the game from the other side of the table.
    • Drew operates Coming or Going for the contestant.
  • On Wednesday, contestant Michael wins Dice Game without having to make any decisions by rolling all 6s.
  • Wednesday's credits do not contain the trip disclaimer.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Thursday:
    • 5 Price Tags is operated entirely by the Barker's Beauties.
    • Drew operates Flip Flop for the contestant.
    • The blocks for Eazy az 1 2 3 are brought onstage off-camera during the prize descriptions.
    • A third podium, brought onstage off-camera during the prize descriptions, is added to 1 Right Price. It sits in front of the trip screen with the game's logo and holds the one right price until one of the Beauties takes it for the price reveal.
    • Drew holds the money during Lucky $even, placing any dollars the contestant uses onto the car's hood.
    • The Barkers's Beauty takes a more active role in Time I$ Møney, standing behind the right-hand podium during the game reveal and pointing out the shelves while Drew explains the game from near the Turntable.
    • Drew does not actually press the button while explaining the second half of Time I$ Møney, although the sound effects still play.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Friday:
    • The Barker's Beauty does not help Drew with the Gas Money reveals.
    • Drew does not interact with Check Game.
    • Drew places the cards in Stack the Deck.
  • On Friday, Drew says that this is "the first time" he's run Pick-a-Number by himself; The Price Is Right at Night 4, on which he also did this, was presumably taped later.
  • The rerun of Friday's show on March 29 includes the real credits.

Week 2 (1,919 – 919xK): November 23-25

  • Thanksgiving week; only three shows.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Monday:
    • Only one Barker's Beauty takes part in It's in the Bag.
    • Drew removes the unchosen price tag in Double Prices by himself.
    • Drew takes the keys in Master Key for the contestant, handing them to him/her at arm's length as they walk to the locks.
  • On Monday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Tuesday:
    • Only one Barker's Beauty touches the center column in 2 for the Price of 1.
    • The contestant collects the price tags in Race Game as Drew reads off their prices; they also pull the lever for him as he explains the scorekeeping.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Wednesday:
    • Drew begins hosting Push Over from the right side of the game, allowing him to resume doing the price reveal.
    • Drew has the contestant operate Magic # as he explains how the lever works.
  • Wednesday's show is themed around Thanksgiving. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The G-T asterisks in around the audience, most of the lights on the Turntable, and George's podium are traditional fall colors, as is the light border.
    • Door #4 shows the logo, with its red and orange background colors reversed and the text "Happy Thanksgiving!" at its base, surrounded by leaves and with more leaves falling in the foreground, all against a wood-paneled wall. The background and falling leaves also appear on George's display and the Turntable screens, with the logo and its surrounding leaves appearing on the center Turntable screen and George's display. The color-inverted logo is also used at the end of the opening as well as appearing during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • The dollar sign on George's calldown window is orange.
    • The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are orange.
    • The logo does not fly onto the Turntable walls during Drew's sign-off.
  • Wednesday's opening establishes how non-standard graphics appear on Door #4 during the COVID-era opening. As the opening montage ends, the day's special version of the logo flies onto the door, followed by the rest of the graphics dissolving in.
  • Wednesday marks the debut of the neon version of the Golden Road set.

Week 3 (1,920 – 920xK): November 30-December 4

  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Monday:
    • The contestant now presses the button to trigger the sound effects while Drew is explaining the second half of Time I$ Møney.
    • Drew goes back to running Spelling Bee by himself.
  • Monday's show is themed around Cyber Monday. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4 shows a pile of Christmas presents, a shopping cart, and the text "Cyber Monday" (with the "o" being the logo in the form of an ornament) against a background of cubes with a mouse pointer moving across the screen, dragging the gift boxes into the cart; similar graphics appear on George's display (with the logo and the cart) and the center row of Turntable screens (with the logo on the center display and the cart on the other two; the logo appears on all three screens during the Showcase), while the other two rows of Turntable screens show raining gift boxes against the same background, and the "Cyber Monday" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show the text "Cyber Monday" on a computer keyboard; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
    • Every Item up for Bids features a PriceIsRight.com plug urging viewers to visit the website for a chance to win portions or all of the prize package.
    • The logo does not fly onto the Turntable walls during Drew's sign-off.
  • Monday's show features the first pricing game prize package worth less than $5,000 in several years, with Swap Meet's prizes totaling only $4,990; it seems likely that this was an arithmetic error.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Tuesday:
    • Drew no longer hands the $500 to people who bid perfectly in Contestants' Row, although he does still remove the bills from his hundred-dollar pocket.
    • Drew no longer interacts with Line em Up while explaining it, instead instructing the contestant to pull on the prices to show how the game works.
  • Beginning on Tuesday, the cards in Card Game are already spread out on the table when the game begins; this was originally introduced as a COVID protocol but ended up being a permanent change.
  • On Tuesday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Wednesday:
    • With Door #4 not usable for pricing games, Hot Seat's intro is moved to the Turntable walls, with the main graphics on the center screen; the flame graphics remain on the walls throughout the game.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Thursday:
    • With Door #4 not usable for pricing games, Double Prices adopts Side by Side's alternate trip staging as its own, with the game being played in front of the Turntable. When using this setup, Drew has the contestant do the price reveal.
    • Drew does not interact with Make Your Move while explaining it.
    • With Drew now running the game himself, the Barker's Beauties no longer stand by the Stack the Deck board.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Friday:
    • Drew goes back to operating One Away by himself.
    • Beginning with its second playing of the season, Drew does not interact with the Double Cross board, instead having the contestant demonstrate it while he explains the game.

Week 4 (1,921 – 921xK): December 7-11

  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Tuesday:
    • Drew now has contestants reset the Big Wheel for bonus spins by themselves.
  • On Tuesday, Flip Flop flip-flops its COVID procedures from the season's first playing; instead of the contestant standing back while Drew operates the game, Drew stands back, walking the contestant through operating the board from a distance.
  • For a brief period beginning on Tuesday, the mountain climber wears a mask during Cliff Hangers, as do his graphics.
  • On Tuesday, the Door #2 staging for Double Prices is slightly reworked; the game is now brought out during the prize description and is placed between Drew and the contestant. Additionally, the contestant now performs the price reveal.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Wednesday:
    • In Pocket ¢hange, the contestant never interacts with the board, instead instructing Drew which envelopes to pick. Conversely, Drew never touches the initial 25¢ card; the contestant takes it from the table on their own.
  • On Wednesday, Drew does the first contestant plug (as opposed to a ticket plug) after the first Showcase Showdown, directing viewers to PriceIsRight.com for instructions on how to appear on the show.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Friday:
    • Drew does not interact with Side by Side.
  • On Friday, Drew wishes Bob a happy 97th birthday on Saturday before the first Item up for Bids.
  • On Friday, Secret "X" is played for a car.

Week 4.5: Night of January 13

  • The Price Is Right at Night 6 (#042SP) airs on the night of Wednesday, January 13.
  • Originally scheduled for the night of Wednesday, January 6.
  • At this point, the schedule briefly jumps ahead to 2021 for a single primetime special that, despite its airdate, comes before the one that airs during Week 6. Normally, the reasonable assumption would be that the two shows' airdates were swapped, but as the other show is a Christmas episode, that idea does not make sense here. In lieu of a specific spot in the schedule, I have chosen to put its notes in the gap in production numbers where week #922xK would have gone under normal circumstances.
  • As of this episode, the end of the primetime opening spiel is extended to, "It's The Price Is Right at Night!"
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode (using the normal celebrity format, unlike The Neighbors special in November); Adam Devine, who comes on down before the first game, plays for Children's Miracle Network. He also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around him.
  • As this episode was taped before Week 4, Double Prices is still in place before the prize description, and Drew still does the price reveal.
  • Punch a Bunch is played for $100,000, with a slip distribution of five $250, 10 each of $500 and $1,000, eight each of $2,500 and $5,000, four each of $10,000 and $25,000, and one $100,000.
  • Punch a Bunch's money win graphics are changed to a blue-tinted version of ones used in the Showcase Showdown; this change also carries over to the daytime show.
  • During the first Showcase Showdown, the lights around the Big Doors are mistakenly not turned red until the second spinner's turn.
  • In Range Game, the price is not covered by the rangefinder when the contestant presses the button; the game is won entirely because of the small delay before the crew member actually stops it.

Week 5 (1,922 – 923xK): December 17, 15, 16, 14, 18

  • Originally scheduled for December 14-18.
  • With the production numbers for week #922xK having been used in Season 48, the overall week numbers again fall one number behind the production codes at this point.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Monday:
    • Drew goes back to helping contestants spin the Big Wheel instead of doing it for them; he makes a point of putting on his mask when this occurs.
  • Tuesday marks the season's first usage of Door #4 outside of the Showcase, displaying a trip for Pick-a-Number; it starts to be used more frequently after this point.
  • On Tuesday, Drew goes back to operating the small prize podiums in 5 Price Tags, with the Beauties backing up as he does so; the Beauties continue to operate the main prop.
  • In Wednesday's Spelling Bee, contestant Adam picks four "A"s; during the Showcase, Drew gives him one of the cards as a souvenir.
  • On Wednesday, the plastic container is removed from Balance Game; the Drew Dollar now simply sits next to the bags.
  • On Wednesday, a note during the credits states that Elvia, the contestant who had lost Danger Price, was later declared to have won "due to an incorrect price being revealed during gameplay;" based on other episodes the prizes have been offered on, it appears that the helmets included with the scooters in the game were not factored into the danger price. This did not affect anyone's standing in either the Showcase Showdown or the Showcase.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Thursday:
    • The contestant operates the 10 Chances board.
  • On Thursday and Friday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Friday:
    • In Cover Up, if the game comes down to a turn with only one number left, Drew has the contestant do the price reveal.

Week 6 (1,923 – 924xK): December 21, 23, 22, 24 + Tuesday night

  • The Price Is Right at Night 7 (#043SP) airs on Tuesday night.
  • Daytime shows originally scheduled for December 21-24.
  • Primetime show originally scheduled for Monday night, December 21.
  • Christmas week; only four daytime shows.
Daytime
  • This week's programs are Christmas episodes. The following aspects of these shows are different than usual:
    • The set is decorated for Christmas.
    • The audience light columns are red and green.
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience are all either light blue or covered with silver glitter.
    • The audience light strips and the G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are light blue.
    • As the opening clips end on Door #4, the logo, ringed by a wreath and with the text "Happy Holidays" at its base, falls onto the screen while a row of garland rises up from the bottom and a plaid background swings shut from behind. The garland and background also appear on the Turntable screens and George's display, with the center Turntable screen and George's display also showing the logo (but not the "Happy Holidays" text). Snow also falls on the screens; amusingly, this is visible on Door #4 even over the opening clips.
    • In the graphical logo (except during the credits), the left-hand background is green.
    • The light border is red.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate the holidays on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew wears a Santa hat.
    • The Barker Wall has a plaid pattern similar to Door #4's background.
    • The dollar sign statue is gold for the first two acts on Monday and red for the rest of the week.
    • The Turntable's light strips are red, and its walls are gold.
    • Almost all of the music cues for Items up for Bids are Christmas carols.
    • The logo, with its green left-hand background, appears during every commercial outro.
    • George's calldown window is red, and its dollar sign is green.
    • George's podium is red.
    • The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are red.
  • The following COVID protocols are introduced on Monday:
    • Drew no longer shows the cash from his hundred-dollar pocket when a perfect bid occurs, as he cannot hand it to the contestants, anyway.
    • 3 Strikes is operated entirely by the contestant. Instead of being dropped into the board, used balls are put into a bucket in front of the bag; notably, this bucket has a smaller version of the price display's previous dollar sign on it.
  • On Tuesday, One Wrøng Price is played for three cars, with one car behind each door; unusually for this type of presentation, the cars are revealed and described individually, with Drew talking to the contestant between the reveals.
  • On Tuesday, Drew and the contestant stand on the Turntable during One Wrøng Price.
  • On Tuesday, George models the third car in One Wrøng Price.
  • On Tuesday, the rats in Rat Race are dressed up as reindeer, and the rat racer on the price cards has on antlers and a Santa hat.
  • On Tuesday, Check Game is played with Line em Up's think music.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Wednesday:
    • Large, green panels are added to both sides of the Pathfinder board, allowing Drew to socially distance from the contestant while still standing on the game.
  • On Wednesday, James almost breaks the second Item up for Bids by knocking over its podium.
  • On Thursday, George introduces Drew as "your ho-ho-host, Drew Carey!"
  • In Thursday's Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber and his graphics are dressed as Santa Claus.
Primetime
  • This episode features families playing together.
  • The set is decorated for Christmas, albeit differently than on the daytime show.
  • At the end of the opening clips, the logo flies onto the screen, followed by the "Happy Holidays" text from the daytime show; a nighttime backdrop and a winter scene then pop into place in the same manner as the backdrop and garland on the daytime show. Also like the daytime show, snow falls on this scene; on this episode, the snow is visible near the end of the opening clips even before the shot changes to the studio.
  • The logo is the light blue version seen in Season 48's primetime Christmas episodes.
  • The light border's interior light strip is blue, and its front strip is gold.
  • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are light blue, as are the fronts of the podiums.
  • The Contestants' Row displays show snow falling against a blue background. When bids are made, the normal colors transition in as the bids appear through a flurry of snowfall.
  • The corners of the audience have couches in them for families who have already played a game.
  • Instead of calling every single contestant's name, George merely announces, "The [insert name] family, come on down!"
  • The opening ends with, "You are the first four families as we celebrate the holidays on The Price Is Right at Night!"
  • As on this week's daytime shows, Drew wears a Santa hat.
  • The Barker Wall has vertical blue stripes, similar to the interior of the Clam.
  • The light strips on the Big Doors are light blue, as is the dollar sign statue.
  • The Turntable screens show the background and snowfall from Door #4, with the blue logo appearing on the center screen.
  • The logo on the envelope for the price of the first Item up for Bids is noticeably smaller on this and future primetime specials; this change carries over to the daytime show once the tapedates catch up.
  • A silver border is been added to the outside of the Giant Price Tag, and the neon light strip is now one continuous loop; this carries over to the daytime show next week.
  • Grand Game is played for $25,000, with the lower amounts adjusted accordingly.
  • Triple Play's third car is a Cadillac.
  • Bonus Game's small prize turntable is replaced with the shelves from Switcheroo; this change carries over to the daytime show once the tapedates catch up.
  • Switch? is played for an indoor kitchen and an outdoor kitchen, with the former in Door #2 and the latter in Door #3; the podiums and the logo trip screen are onstage between the doors.
  • The Showcase winners' total is tinted red.

Week 7 (1,924 – 925xK): January 4-8

  • On Monday, 1/2 Off's box reveal goes back to its normal staging.
  • On Monday, the silver border and unbroken light strip on the Giant Price Tag first seen on the primetime Christmas episode return permanently.
  • On Tuesday, Time I$ Møney is revealed with a close-up of the jackpot sign instead of a shot of the Race Game Curtain going up.
  • On Tuesday, Drew goes back to pressing the button himself while explaining the second half of Time I$ Møney.
  • On Wednesday, Switcheroo's "think" music starts over on the contestant's second turn.
  • One COVID protocol is introduced on Thursday:
    • Drew no longer touches the paddles or the button while explaining Bonkers, although the sound effects still play. Drew also has the contestant do the price reveal at the end of the game.
  • For reasons unknown, in the online version of Friday's show, the last few seconds of Act 2 have no audio.
  • On Friday, Hot Seat's traditional intro graphics are abandoned entirely. The game's intro music now plays as the Race Game Curtain goes up, with the "$20,000" graphic flying onto the screen.
  • On Friday, the logo does not fly onto the Turntable screens after the Showcase.

Week 8 (1,925 – 926xK): January 11-15 + night of January 27

  • The Price Is Right at Night 8 (#044SP) airs on the night of Wednesday, January 27.
  • Primetime show originally scheduled for Wednesday night, January 13.
Daytime
  • On Monday, Hi Lo is played for a car.
  • On Monday, Hi Lo uses its classic reveal.
  • On Monday, Flip Flop flip-flops its COVID procedures again, going back to having Drew operate the board for the contestant.
  • On Wednesday, It's in the Bag goes back to using two Barker's Beauties.
  • On Wednesday, a slot is built into the side of Balance Game's bag podium from which the contestant removes their souvenir Drew Dollar.
  • In Thursday's Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber is maskless.
Primetime
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; Ludacris, who comes on down before the first game, plays for his Ludacris Foundation, which is dedicated to "helping youths help themselves." He also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around him.
    • Ludacris is called down with his real name, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and his name tag says "Luda."
  • Side by Side is staged farther from the Big Doors than usual to provide more room for social distancing; it is also shown before the prizes. This change also occurs on the daytime show later in the season; while this episode's tapedate is unknown, it seems likely that is is the first time the game was staged this way.
  • Drew operates Side by Side for the contestant.
  • This episode's third Item up for Bids marks the season's first appearance of the Basket, which has been rerigged closer to the new position of Contestants' Row.
  • Vend-O-Price is played for a car.
  • One Wrøng Price is played for three trips; the game uses its normal staging at Door #2.
  • 2 for the Price of 1 is played for season tickets to the NFL team of the contestant's choice; as the price of the prize presumably varies from team to team, the prize package is simply described as being worth "over $10,000." A price of exactly $10,000 is used to determine total winnings for the Showcase Showdown and the Showcase, as well as Ludacris's charity winnings.
  • In 2 for the Price of 1, both Beauties move the middle number; this appears to have been an oversight.

Week 9 (1,926 – 927xK): January 18-19, 21-22

  • Only four shows; no Wednesday episode.
  • Beginning on Monday, 3 Strikes is introduced with a close-up of the game's logo.
  • On Tuesday, presumably due to a production error, the logo never appears at the end of the opening.
  • On Tuesday, Side by Side's Turntable staging is changed; the game is moved off to the side of the Turntable, directly across from Door #1.
  • Beginning on Tuesday, one of the Barker's Beauties stands by the small prize table in Spelling Bee and models the first item.
  • On Thursday, the contestant never interacts with Pocket ¢hange's first 25¢ card; Drew keeps it on the table throughout the game.
  • On Friday, Check-Out is played for a car.

Week 10 (1,927 – 928xK): January 25-28, March 12 + night of April 21

  • The Price Is Right at Night 9 (#045SP) airs on the night of Wednesday, April 21.
  • Daytime shows originally scheduled for January 25-29.
  • Primetime show originally scheduled for Wednesday night, January 27.
Daytime
  • On Monday, Drew has the contestant press the button to trigger the sound effects while he explains Bonkers.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" is progressively clearer images of the masked mountain climber, representing the improvement in Drew's vision after his recent cataract surgery.
  • Wednesday's sixth Item up for Bids marks the season's first appearance of the Basket on the daytime show.
  • On Wednesday, the contestants go back to picking their keys in Master Key by themselves; in an inversion, they no longer hand them to Drew.
  • On Thursday, the background of the trip screen Switch? logo is blue instead of purple.
  • On Friday, the smaller logo on the envelope for the price of the first Item up for Bids comes to the daytime show.
  • On Friday, Drew cuts the joke about buying the contestant lunch from Vend-O-Price; he now simply has them insert the coin with no preamble.
  • Friday's second showcase is loosely themed around the Grammy Awards, which were originally scheduled to air Sunday night on CBS but were ultimately moved to Sunday, March 14 (which is why the episode was rescheduled for March 12).
Primetime
  • Thanks to a COVID spike in California shutting down production for most of January, Wednesday night's show was not actually taped until February 9.
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; Lilly Singh, who comes on down before the first game, plays for Room to Read, which focuses on improving literacy and gender equality in the developing world. She also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around her.
  • It's in the Bag is played for $32,000, with all the prize amounts doubled; instead of altering the "$16,000" sign, the prize is presented on a trio of trip screens.
  • Presumably to facilitate social distancing, Drew, Lilly, and the contestants stand on the Turntable instead of in front of it before any games concealed by the Race Game Curtain.
  • The slot for the Drew Dollar in Balance Game is filled back in, with the coin simply sitting on the table; as the show was taped drastically out of order, this change does not carry over to the daytime show for several weeks.
  • Do the Math is played for two cars.

Week 11 (1,928 – 929xK): February 1-5

  • Friday's show is loosely themed around the Super Bowl, which airs on CBS on Sunday night; this is advertised most heavily during the second showcase.
  • On Friday, Check-Out is played for season tickets to the NFL team of the contestant's choice, described as being worth "up to $10,000;" for the purposes of scoring, the prize is considered to be worth exactly $10,000.

Week 12 (1,929 – 930xK): February 8-12

  • On Monday, Grocery Game is played for a car.
  • In Monday's Grocery Game, the player's distance from $22 can be seen on the Contestants' Row displays during a shot of the "audience;" this is actually standard procedure for Grocery Game, but it generally does not get on-camera with the show's normal staging.
  • On Tuesday, contestant Lynn appears to break part of the Switcheroo board, forcing her to put one of the blocks on top of another block instead of into a slot.
  • On Wednesday, Drew operates Side by Side for the contestant.
  • On Wednesday, the lights in Rat Race's windows are shut off, causing the game to look noticeably darker than usual.
  • Friday's show is themed around Valentine's Day, with couples playing as teams. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The light columns in the audience are red, the G-T asterisks in the audience and between the Big Doors are pink, and the light strip around the audience is blue.
    • After playing their games, the onstage contestants sit on couches in the enclosed areas in the corners of the audience, both labelled "Couples Corner."
    • The "neon" strips on the light border are red.
    • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are red, and the podiums are light blue with pink dollar signs.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show a sunburst with hearts cascading outward from it, all against a blue background; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors. This background also appears on all but the center screen of the Turntable wall.
    • As the opening clips end on Door #4, a heart with the Barker logo on it rises onto the screen, followed by the text "Valentine's Day;" a variation on the Contestants' Row graphics with the hearts cascading out from behind the logo then swings shut behind them. This background also appears on the center screen of the Turntable wall.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four couples as we celebrate Valentine's Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew's entrance is backed by pink panels with cascading hearts on them instead of the Barker Wall.
    • Most of the lights on the Turntable are pink, and the areas between the monitors are red and pink, as is George's podium.
    • George's display shows one of the sets of Turntable wall graphics; it is not entirely clear which one, as it never gets completely on-camera while not displaying a prize.
    • The regular logo, backed by floating hearts, appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • The dollar sign on George's calldown window is red.
    • The logo does not fly onto the Turntable screens after the Showcase.

Week 13 (1,930 – 931xK): February 16, 15, 17-19

  • Originally scheduled for February 15-19.
  • This week is Big Money Week. Each day, the first game is played for an unusually large cash prize, as follows:
    • On Monday, Plinko is played for $1,000,000, with $200,000 in the center slot; the other cash values are also raised to $500, $1,000, and $2,500.
    • On Tuesday, Rat Race is played for $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000, with the $100,000 functioning as the car.
    • On Wednesday, Pass the Buck is played for $50,000, with the regular cash values increased to $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000. The prize is announced as $80,000, but this is actually the highest total possible, with the $50,000 prize functioning as the car.
    • On Thursday, Shell Game is played for $50,000; the prize is announced as $100,000, but this includes the cash equivalent bonus.
    • On Friday, Grand Game is played for $100,000, with all of the prizes multiplied by 10.
  • Additionally, from Act 2 onward, every time someone wins a pricing game, the cash value of anything won in the game is added to a progressive jackpot that is awarded to the Showcase winner at the end of the show. (Unlike last year, prizes given away in games that are lost are not included.) While going to commercial after each win (and after the sixth game regardless of its outcome), the jackpot is shown accumulating a la the Gas Money display in a cash game-esque graphic; it is also displayed after the second Showcase Showdown on Tuesday. It is never explained what happens to the jackpot in the case of a double overbid, although Drew's words seem to imply that it would simply not be won.
  • On top of this, the following aspects of this week are different than usual:
    • As the opening clips end on Door #4, the logo flies onto the screen, followed by the text "Big Money Week" rising up from the bottom; a background of gold sparkles with dollar bills raining down then closes shut behind them. The background also appears on the Turntable screens, with this version of the logo appearing on the center screen; the background and logo also appear on George's display. The "Big Money Week" version of the logo also appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • The Contestants' Row displays are sparkly versions of their usual colors and have a Pricedown dollar sign at the center; when the contestants bid, the normal colors are revealed in the wake of a wave of dollar bills.
    • On Tuesday, the opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we kick off Big Money Week on The Price Is Right!" (This was presumably intended for Monday's show before the airdates were shuffled around.) On the other four shows, it ends with, "You are the first four contestants as Big Money Week continues on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew's entrance is backed by panels with cascading dollar bills and a yellow Pricedown dollar sign on them instead of the Barker Wall; the backdrop is gray on Monday but is tinted green for the rest of the week.
    • The light strips on the Big Doors, the dollar sign statue, and most of the lights on the Turntable are green throughout the show.
    • Glittery green dollar sign statues with glittery gold edges and bases are placed between the Big Doors.
    • George's calldown window is green and yellow, and its dollar sign is green.
    • The Showcase winner's total is displayed with the jackpot graphics.
    • The logo does not fly onto the Turntable screens after the Showcase.
  • On Tuesday, the window lights on Rat Race's grocery display are off again; however, the ones on the main board are on.
  • On Tuesday, Drew goes back to doing the price reveal in Bonkers himself.
  • On Tuesday, Vend-O-Price is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, the shelves from Switcheroo replace Bonus Game's small prize turntable on the daytime show.
  • On Thursday, Shell Game's blue/green color scheme debuts; additionally, the main table is moved onto the stationary part of the Turntable, with a new small prize display taking its spot on the spinning panel. The logo is also removed from the table and instead appears on the center Turntable screen; the screens also have a dedicated set of graphics for the game, an animated version of the shell graphics from the front of the table. Additionally, the cards for the small prizes are replaced with touchscreens that start showing the Shell Game logo, then change to the wrong price, then change again to the correct answer and actual price.
  • Beginning on Thursday, Shell Game is revealed before the prize. The game now starts with a close-up of the logo on the Turntable screens, from which the camera zooms out to show the game.
  • Thursday's show establishes that Shell Game's Turntable graphics take precedence over any special graphics being displayed on the walls.

Week 14 (1,931 – 932xK): February 22-26

  • On Monday, Time I$ Møney goes back to the button not being pressed at all while the second half of the game is being explained.
  • On Monday, Side by Side's new Door #2 staging from The Price Is Right at Night 8 comes to the daytime show.
  • Beginning on Tuesday, the first show taped after the Christmas break, George has a beard.
  • On Tuesday, Drew demonstrates Line em Up from the right side of the board.
  • In Tuesday's first Showcase Showdown, the Big Wheel's beeps are badly out of sync and are clearly being controlled from the sound effects booth.
  • On Wednesday, Manuela, the only cast member present without facial hair, wears a fake beard during the first Item up for Bids.
  • On Wednesday, beginning in Act 3, one of the light bulbs on the blue Contestants' Row podium is yellow; it remains this way throughout Thursday's show.
  • On Wednesday, Hot Seat's normal intro returns, with Door #4 now flanked by the Barker's Beauties.

Week 15 (1,932 – 933xK): March 1-5

  • On Monday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • On Tuesday, 1/2 Off's "$10,000" graphic changes to a blue and green version of the Showcase Showdown graphics.
  • In Tuesday's Hole in One, Drew does not do the inspiration putt.
  • As of Wednesday, George no longer has his beard.
  • On Thursday, contestant Alyssa makes an obviously wrong guess of "07" in 10 Chances. The guess was likely only allowed to stand because of the COVID protocols calling for the contestant to press the button, which she did before Drew could finish pointing out how ludicrous the bid was.

Week 16 (1,933 – 934xK): March 8-11, June 28

  • Originally scheduled for March 8-12.
  • Originally (and ultimately) rescheduled for March 8-11, June 28.
  • Originally rerescheduled for March 10, 9, 8, 11, June 28.
  • On Monday and Thursday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • On Wednesday, the changes made to the Door #2 staging for Double Prices in Week 4 are reverted; as such, the game is now visible before the prize reveal when it is played there.
  • On Wednesday, with no audience members to potentially catch a glimpse of the price, Check Game goes back to using its normal price reveal for prizes displayed on Door #4; this change also applies to Coming or Going.
  • On Thursday, in honor of George's birthday, Cover Up's "wrong price" is five pictures of him from throughout his life.
  • On Thursday, the window lights on Rat Race's main podium are off, but the ones on the grocery display are on.
  • Thursday's second showcase is themed around George's birthday.
  • On Friday, Drew's mask reminder is edited out of his sign-off, as the show was not aired until after the CDC had begun to ease such restrictions.

Week 17 (1,934 – 935xK): March 15-17

  • March Madness week; only three shows.
  • On Monday, as previously seen on The Price Is Right at Night 9, the slot for the Drew Dollar in Balance Game's left-hand podium is filled back in, and the coin goes back to sitting on the table.
  • On Tuesday, a silver dollar sign statue is visible in the back of the "audience" during Act 1; this statue is normally placed in front of the right-hand exit during the Showcase and appears to have been left onstage after the previous taping.
  • On Wednesday, Drew restores the "buying lunch" routine to the beginning of Vend-O-Price.
  • On Wednesday, 1/2 Off goes back to using two Barker's Beauties for the small prizes.
  • On Wednesday, Drew hosts Range Game from the right side of the board, causing it to be visible before the prize reveal.

Week 18 (1,935 – 936xK): March 18, 23-26

  • Originally scheduled for March 22-26.
  • On Thursday, numbers are added to the Pocket ¢hange's envelope slots, making it easier for contestants to tell Drew which ones they want to pick. The slots are also repainted with the same color scheme and graphics as the envelopes.

Week 19 (1,936 – 937xK): July 1, March 30-April 2

  • Originally scheduled for March 29-April 2.
  • On Monday, Drew demonstrates Line em Up from the right side of the board.
  • Beginning on Monday, Drew hosts Double Prices from the right side of the game when it is played at Door #2 and has the contestant do the price reveal.
  • On Thursday, as an April Fool's Day gag, five new Barker's Beauties are introduced alongside James and Amber -- all of them mannequins. One of the mannequins is also used in Punch a Bunch to hold the $25,000 bill instead of the usual stand, their faces serve as the "wrong price" in Cover Up, and the first showcase is focused on getting to know more about them.
  • On Thursday, the bottom-right portion of the Turntable wall gets stuck on dark purple during the first Item up for Bids, something no one appears to notice until it fails to change colors during Act 2. For Act 3, all of the wall segments between the screens are turned dark purple; they remain this way for the rest of the show.
  • On Friday, the logo is not seen flying onto the Turntable screens during the credits; however, this may simply be a result of the camera cutting away from Drew before it could happen.

Week 20 (1,937 – 938xK): April 5-9

  • On Monday, Hot Seat's opening is removed entirely; the camera simply dissolves to a close-up of the "Hot Seat" sign, with the top prize being revealed in Drew's explanation.
  • On Monday, Balance Game is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, Double Prices is played at Door #3.
  • On Thursday, after modeling a skating package for the first Item up for Bids, Rachel spends the entire first two acts on roller skates.
  • On Thursday, Magic # is restaged farther away from the Big Doors; it now appears to be directly in front of Door #1.
  • In Friday's Cliff Hangers, "On the Franches Mountains" starts from the beginning on every prize.

Week 21 (1,938 – 939xK): April 12-16

  • On Monday, the light strip around Door #1 goes out during the last commercial and remains dark during the credits.
  • On Tuesday, the bottom-right portion of the Turntable wall gets stuck on dark purple during the second Item up for Bids. It remains this way at least until the first commercial; by the next time it appears on-camera during Act 4, it has been shut off. It is eventually fixed during the prize description for the fifth game.
  • Wednesday's second showcase has the first on-camera appearance of an "I won this car on The Price Is Right" license plate holder since the season premiere; since that time, the plate's interior has evidently changed to a blue field with the TPIR logo in the center.
  • On Thursday, the Barker's Beauties operate everything in 5 Price Tags.
  • On Thursday, the bottom-right portion of the Turntable again gets stuck on dark purple sometime between the first and third games. The segment is shut off by its next appearance in Act 5 but is on again for the Showcase (although it's hard to tell whether this is because it was fixed or because the walls are purple during the Showcase anyway).
  • Friday's second showcase is loosely themed around the ACM Awards, which air Sunday night on CBS.

Week 22 (1,939 – 940xK): April 20, June 24, April 22, 21, 23

  • Originally scheduled for April 19-23.
  • Originally rescheduled for April 19, 20, 22, 21, 23.
  • At the end of Monday's opening, Drew wishes George a happy belated 10th anniversary as the show's permanent announcer; George actually took over the job on February 25, 2011, but was indeed not formally added to the cast until April 18. Drew's introduction of him as the new announcer is shown on Door #4, and Amber presents him with a plaque in the shape of a Turntable screen with "10 Years," a microphone, and the Barker logo on it.
  • In Monday's Rat Race, none of the lights on the small prize display are turned on.

Week 23 (1,940 – 941xK): April 26-30 + Wednesday night

  • The Price Is Right at Night 10 (#046SP) airs on Wednesday night.
Daytime
  • On Tuesday, Spelling Bee's cards become a much brighter shade of yellow.
  • On Thursday, Hot Seat's intro is scaled back even further, with Drew and the contestant simply walking over to the game.
  • On Wednesday, during Coming or Going, the Turntable walls use the purple and gray color scheme normally used for Clock Game.
  • In Thursday's showcase, the logo on the center Turntable screen disappears for no apparent reason while the Top Winner is deciding whether to bid on or pass the first showcase.
  • On Friday, Hi Lo is played for a car.
  • On Friday, Door #4 freezes sometime after the fifth Item up for Bids; it is eventually fixed during the commercial.
Primetime
  • The Barker Wall shows the same starry graphics from #040SP last season, although unlike on that episode, they appear on the normal prop.
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; Tiffany Haddish, who comes on down before the first game, plays for the She Ready Foundation, an organization she founded that provides support for foster children. Tiffany also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around her.
  • Presumably to facilitate social distancing, Drew, Tiffany, and the contestants stand on the Turntable instead of in front of it before Lucky $even and any games concealed by the Race Game Curtain.
  • 1/2 Off is played for $20,000.
  • In Double Prices, which is played in front of the Turntable, Drew does the price reveal; this may be a consequence of having an extra person onstage.
  • After the fifth Item up for Bids, a brief clip is shown of Tiffany in the audience at the daytime show several years earlier.
  • Drew's sign-off includes a plug for Tiffany's revival of Kids Say the Darnedest Things, which premieres next Wednesday.

Week 24 (1,941 – 942xK): May 3-7

  • On Monday, Drew hosts Range Game from the right side of the board, causing it to be visible before the prize reveal.
  • On Monday, Range Game is played for a car.
  • On Monday and Tuesday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase. On Wednesday, the logo is present initially but disappears sometime during the second showcase.
  • Beginning on Tuesday, the demonstration of the Double Cross board is automated.
  • Friday's show is themed around Mother's Day, with mothers playing alongside one of their adult children. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The set is decorated for the holiday.
    • The light columns in the audience are yellow and blue.
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience are all shades of yellow, green, and purple (with one orange one near Door #1).
    • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are light blue, and the podiums are green with yellow dollar signs.
    • Door #4 shows the logo, with purple and pink backgrounds instead of orange and red, with the text, "Happy Mother's Day!" at its base, all against a spring meadow background. These graphics "close" onto the screen like the sides of a box as the opening clips end. A variation on this version of the logo with the text in two rows also appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots, and its color scheme is used in the logo at the end of the opening.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first eight contestants as we celebrate Mother's Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew's entrance is backed by a garden scene with a dollar sign made of flowers instead of the Barker Wall. This prop is also used as a prize backdrop during the Showcase.
    • The light strip around the Turntable is light green, and the strips on the turntable itself are purple.
    • The Turntable screens collectively display a scene similar to that on Door #4, with the center screen (and the entire center row during the Showcase) showing the purple/pink version of the logo.
    • The areas between the Turntable screens are purple, with the exception of the bottom row, which is green (seemingly to emulate grass).
    • All three of the female Barker's Beauties are present; pictures of them with their children are shown on trip screens during the first Item up for Bids.
    • Clips of Rachel, Manuela, and Amber sending out their own Mother's Day wishes are shown while going to commercial after Acts 3, 4, and 6, respectively.
    • Most of the names in the credits are actually the mother of the staffer in question; the "Announcer" is specifically listed as "Mama Mai Gray."

Week 25 (1,942 – 943xK): May 10, 13, 12, 11, 14

  • Originally scheduled for May 10-14.
  • Monday's show has a rare sub-$5,000 prize package, with 1 Right Price offering only $4,989.
  • On Wednesday, the presentation of the second showcase involves a "reserved parking" sign with the contestant's name on it; during his sign-off, Drew announces that the contestant will receive the prop.

Week 26 (1,943 – 944xK): May 17-21

  • On Monday, the contestant's floor mark for Pay the Rent is a second green dollar sign; this only occurs on this episode.
  • On Monday, Drew's reminder during his sign-off to wear a mask begins to be edited out of most episodes in the wake of new CDC guidelines that ease restrictions for those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • On Thursday, "Walking" is never turned on at the start of Act 2; the theme plays from the end of the first game straight through the come on down.
  • On Thursday, while celebrating winning Grocery Game, contestant David trips over the left side of the Turntable's "doorframe," breaks several of its lights, and ends up stumbling down the stairs behind it; fortunately, he is not badly injured, although his right hand is noticeably bandaged for the rest of the show.
  • On Friday, a note in the credits states that Antonia, the contestant who had lost Do the Math, was later given the prizes (and presumably also the money) "due to a production error during gameplay;" despite the note saying that "this did not affect the outcome of the show," the prizes being awarded during the program would have altered the spinning order in the second Showcase Showdown.

Week 27 (1,944 – 945xK): May 24-28

  • On Tuesday, the back side of the flap covering the price in Push Over is white instead of black.
  • On Tuesday, Shell Game is played for a car.
  • On Thursday, the window lights on Rat Race's small prize podium are turned off; additionally, the lights on the track are much dimmer than usual, to the point of being nearly invisible in some shots.

  • On Friday, Drew does the price reveal in Double Prices.

  • On Thursday, the window lights on Rat Race's small prize display are turned off.
  • Friday's show is themed around Father's Day, with fathers playing alongside one or more of their adult children. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4 shows the logo above the words "Father's Day," with the "T" representing by a tie and collar, all against a background of scrolling stripes. (The tie itself also has scrolling stripes.) The extra text rises up underneath the logo at the end of the opening clips as the background swings shut behind them. A version of the background rotated 90 degrees clockwise appears on the Turntable screens, with the day's logo appearing on the center screen.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first nine contestants as we celebrate Father's Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • The light strips on the Turntable are light blue, and the Turntable wall is orange.
    • Most of the names in the credits are actually the father of the staffer in question; the "Announcer" is specifically listed as "'Papa G' Gray."

Week 31 (1,948 – 949xK): June 21-23, 29, 25

  • Originally scheduled for June 21-25.
  • This week was originally planned without a Monday show.
  • On Monday, Hi Lo is played for another trip to Belize.
  • On Monday, Hi Lo uses its classic reveal, with the prize behind Door #2.
  • Monday's credits have an unusual formatting error -- on the disclaimer screen, a stray ampersand is visible over part of the word "or" in the third paragraph, completely out of line with any other text.
  • On Wednesday, the logo does not appear on the center Turntable screen during the first part of the Showcase.
  • On Thursday, the final showed taped for Season 49, Cover Up's "wrong price" is the anniversary logos for Seasons 10, 20, 30, and 40 and sheet "covering up" the upcoming Season 50 logo.
  • On Thursday, Vend-O-Price is played for a car.
  • On Thursday, before the second Showcase Showdown, Drew acknowledges the retirement of cameraman Wayne Getchell, who has been with the show for 30 years; as the show was taped out of order Wayne is present on the season's two remaining episodes.
  • Thursday's second showcase is themed around and doubles as a promo for The Patrick Star Show, which debuts July 9 on Nickelodeon.
  • Drew mistakenly implies that Thursday's show is the season finale, signing off by saying that "we'll see you for the 50th year next year."
  • On Friday, to promote the Daytime Emmys, which air that night on CBS, the winners of last year's Emmys for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Jason Thompson (the portrayer of Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless) and Heather Tom (the portrayer of Katie Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful), appear to help present the third Item up for Bids. Thompson also models the fifth Item up for Bids and Tom the sixth, and they both help to present the second showcase, which is themed around the Daytime Emmys.
  • On Friday, presumably by mistake, the same cue is used for the fourth Item up for Bids and the fourth game.

    • The light strip around the audience is blue.
    • Door #4 shows the logo, with the text "4th of July" at its base, against a waving American flag and exploding red, white, and blue fireworks. The "4th of July" text rises onto the screen beneath the logo as the opening clips end, with the background swinging shut behind them afterward.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show the background from Door #4; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.

Season Changes[]

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, various changes are made:
    • The show operates with as few crew members as possible.
    • All contestants are tested before coming to the studio, and all staff members are tested regularly.
    • No audiences are present, except for the other contestants of that particular taping session. As a result, all audience sounds are added in post-production.
    • They have figured out how to bring all 77 games back while maintaining social distancing. As Fremantle worked closely with a team of COVID doctors who walked them through the pricing games on where they'll have Drew stand and how the contestants will stand. In addition, there are also some changes to some games. The set has also been rebuilt with decking has been put on top of the area that the audience used to sit and each contestant on Bidder’s Row are now six feet apart.
    • The show will tape three episodes a day as opposed to the usual two.
