Season 50 (2021-2022)[]

Pricing game calendar for Season 50, hosted by Scorpz.

Note: Planning for Season 50 appears to have begun with the logical but ultimately incorrect assumption that the season would start on September 20, as evidenced by the nonsensical placement of the Halloween show on October 22 and the Veterans Day show on November 4 when working from a season premiere date of September 13. With this in mind, everything through Week 11 has been pushed forward one week from where CBS's schedule plots it; this places the Thanksgiving show, which was evidently planned after the staff became aware of the changes, in December but ultimately gives more dates that do make sense than don't.

Week 1 (1,950 – 951xK): September 14, 13, 16, 15, 17

  • Originally scheduled for September 20-24.
  • Originally rescheduled for September 13-17.
  • On Monday, the audience returns, albeit in an altered form. Potential contestants now sit at one of several pods situated on several tiers of flooring constructed in the pit. The fronts of the pods have the same appearance as George's podium, although the center is a light instead of a display. The raised stage in the back of the audience is also returned to its usual position.
  • On Monday, with the audience back, the opening as it existed in Season 48 returns, and the line "From the famous Bob Barker Studio in Hollywood" moves back to being after "Here it comes!" in the opening spiel.
  • For the 50th season, most instances of the logo on the main set, as well as the dollar sign on George's display, are replaced with a gold "50" logo; the bottom half of the five in this logo is shaped like the bottom of a Pricedown dollar sign, and the zero encases a gold Barker logo. This logo also appears on the center Turntable screen, on the envelope for the first Item up for Bids, and at the end of the credits, and the Big Doors have a white version of it with gold trim around the numbers built into them (as opposed to the previous logo, which was attached to the doors).
  • With the "50" logo permanently on the Turntable screens, the logo no longer flies onto them during Drew's sign-off.
  • For the 50th season, the TPIR signs in the back of the audience are redone with a gold dollar sign on the left and the gold text "50 Years" in Pricedown on the right. Their background is also redone, with the right being silver and the left being clear. This version of the logo also appears during the closed-captioning plugs and the mid-show bumper.
    • Unlike most permanent set pieces with the show's logo on them, the Giant Price Tag remains completely unchanged from last season.
  • On Monday, the G-T asterisks are removed from the background of Door #4, and the background itself becomes gold and the dollar signs silver.
  • On Monday, the light border becomes gold.
  • On Monday, the light strip around the audience becomes silver.
  • On Monday, the logo at the beginning of the opening is changed to a gold Barker logo. Its flight is also slightly modified.
  • With the audience and the semi-normal Contestants' Row restored but with COVID protocols still in place, the first four contestants are now always instructed to fill Contestants' Row from left to right.
  • For the 50th season, the logo at the end of the opening is replaced with a version of the "50" logo; the numbers essentially write themselves into existence as the fly onto the screen, with the Barker logo flying into place as the finish. The numbers initially have numerous scenes from throughout the years reflected on them, prominently featuring both Bob and Drew; they eventually fade away to leave solid gold, and the logo shrinks toward the center of the screen to "merge" into Door #2 as the camera changes.
  • On this week's shows, the opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate 50 years of The Price Is Right!"
  • On Monday, Contestants' Row returns to its traditional location, although to facilitate social distancing, the extended version of the prop temporarily becomes permanent. Along with this reversion, the large G-T asterisks on the floor from Season 49 reverts to the two smaller ones in front of the displays.
  • On this week's shows, the Barker Wall is a much shinier orange, and its dollar sign is a glittery gold.
  • On Monday, with social distancing protocols slightly relaxed, the female Barker's Beauties go back to handing Drew his microphone.
  • On Monday, George's podium becomes blue.
  • With limited seating in the restructured audience, contestants now return to their original seats while not onstage or in Contestants' Row.
  • On Monday, the Basket returns to its normal location.
  • On Monday, George's calldown window becomes silver, and its dollar sign becomes gold.
  • On Monday, Bargain Game goes back to having two Barker's Beauties.
  • Every day this week, one pricing game is played for $1,000,000; while not billed as such, this seems to unofficially function as Season 50's Big Money Week. The augmented games are as follows:
    • Monday's game is Plinko, with the center slot worth $200,000 and the lower amounts increased to $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000.
    • Tuesday's game is Pay the Rent, with all of the cash prizes multiplied by 10.
    • Wednesday's game is Time I$ Møney, with the money counting down 50 times as fast as usual.
    • Thursday's game is Grand Game, with all of the cash prizes multiplied by 100.
    • Friday's game is Punch a Bunch, with 10 $1,000, 10 $2,500, 15 $5,000, eight $10,000, four $50,000, two $250,000, and one $1,000,000.
  • On Monday, Plinko's harps abruptly cut off at the end its intro instead of fading out like they usually do.
  • Beginning on Monday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is white instead of red during the Showcase Showdowns.
  • On Monday, the walls on the Big Wheel become gold. Gold trim is also added around most of its light strips.
    • Despite the changes to the Big Wheel, the arrow shot continues to use the same stock footage with the previous wall pattern as its border.
  • On Monday, the Big Wheel's beeps take on a noticeably more tinny sound, almost as though the effects are malfunctioning; they also appear to not always play in full. This effect waxes and wanes in severity over the next several weeks and gradually goes back to normal around mid-October.
  • On Monday, the trip restrictions from Season 49 are lifted; destinations around the world are once again offered, and the disclaimer in the credits allowing for extra time to take trips if pandemic conditions warrant is removed.
  • On Monday, the text on the trip graphics is changed to a more slick-looking font.
  • On Monday, Double Prices is played for a car.
  • On Monday, the Barker's Beauties go back to helping Drew operate Double Prices.
  • Monday's show features the debut of Back to '72.
  • On Monday, Back to '72 is played for $50,000.
  • On Monday, two small prize games and a grocery item game are played.
  • On Tuesday, the green dollar sign floor mark for Pay the Rent contestants returns.
  • On Tuesday, Pay the Rent gets new, blue shopping bags with the "50" logo on them.
  • On Wednesday, Cliff Hangers is played for a car.
  • As of Wednesday, the mountain climber no longer wears a mask, nor do his corresponding graphics; according to Drew, "He's been vaccinated."
  • On Wednesday, the back side of the flap covering the price in Push Over is white instead of black.
  • On Thursday, Drew goes back to handing the Xs to the contestant and operating the reveal in Secret "X".
  • On Friday, Punch a Bunch's holes have the "50" logo on them instead of the usual dollar sign.
  • On Friday, Punch a Bunch's slips have noticeably smaller print than usual.
  • Friday is Alexis's first episode; Drew introduces her during the third Item up for Bids.
  • With the addition of Alexis, the cast expands to have six permanent Barker's Beauties.
  • On Friday, three Barker's Beauties are present.
  • On Friday, Range Game is played for a car.
  • On Friday, the Range Game contestant attempts to stop the rangefinder by shouting, "Stop!" instead of pressing the button; amusingly, the (presumably shocked) board operator actually obeys him for a moment.
  • On Friday, Cover Up begins a pattern lasting throughout the season of the first and last "digits" in the "wrong price" being the "50" logo above a year and the second, third, and fourth "digits" being pictures of early (and often the first) playings of pricing games that debuted that year (or occasionally other important moments that occurred that year). On this playing, the game features 1972, with pictures of the first playings of Bullseye '72, Clock Game, and Money Game.
  • Friday's show features the debut of To the Penny.
  • On Friday, two cash games are played.
  • On Friday, two grocery item games and a small prize game are played.
  • On Friday, a trip to Portugal offered in the first showcase includes a bonus of a VIP backstage experience at a taping of O Preço Certo, the Portuguese version of The Price Is Right.
  • On Friday, Alexis helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around her.
  • On Friday, for no apparent reason, the "50" logo does not appear on the Turntable wall during the second part of the Showcase until Drew's sign-off.

Week 2 (1,951 – 952xK): September 20-24 + night of Thursday, September 30

  • Originally scheduled for September 27-October 1
  • The Price Is Right Celebrates 50 Years (#047SP) airs on Thursday night.
Daytime
  • On this week's shows only, George's podium is half light blue and half dark blue.
  • This week's shows, the first taped for the season, use the old font for trip graphics.
  • On Monday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is red during the first Showcase Showdown.
  • On this week's shows, Drew resets the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself.
  • On Monday Vanessa Lachey and her castmates on NCIS: Hawai'i, which premieres that night, appear from Hawaii to help present the second showcase, which is themed around their show; their video is played on the first prize in the showcase, a television.
  • On Tuesday, the Barker's Beauties go back to bringing out the Dice Game table from behind the board at the beginning of the game.
  • On Tuesday, Drew goes back to interacting with Make Your Move as he explains it.
  • On Wednesday, Drew mentions that it's Alexis's "first time on the show;" while this is not her debut episode, it is the first show she taped.
  • On Wednesday, Hot Seat's intro reverts to a dissolve to the game's sign.
  • On Wednesday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is red during the first Showcase Showdown.
  • On Thursday, Side by Side's alternate staging in front of the Turntable reverts to its pre-COVID position.
  • In Thursday's Grocery Game, the cash register's display is modified; the silver plating around the readout is redone with a glitter-like surface and is expanded to cover the black area around the numbers. Additionally, the register's decimal point is removed, and its numbers return to their original font.
  • At the beginning of Friday's second Showcase Showdown, Drew says goodbye to Stan Blits, who retired at the end of Season 49 after 43 years with the show. Stan is also given a send-off during the credits with a table full of snack cakes wrapped in foil with "Stan" name tags on it.
Primetime
  • This episode is two hours long, with a standard, hour-format game and numerous clips from throughout the show's history. The show contains 13 segments, with none containing more than one standard gameplay segment (this includes the first and second games being separated). The fourth segment consists entirely of clips of international versions of the show, the ninth entirely of unaired outtakes, and the 11th entirely of a tribute to Bob; none of them contain any gameplay at all.
  • The show begins with a shot of the "50" logo against a silver background with cascading Pricedown dollar signs; this shot also appears during several commercial outros.
  • The show begins with a series of clips, both contemporary and classic, accompanied by a voiceover from George explaining the premise of the episode; notably, the first clip is of Bob asking someone in Contestants' Row, "Did you see our primetime special?" during Season 25, shortly after the 25th Anniversary Special. At the end, a "50" logo flies onto the screen and transitions the proceedings to the normal opening.
  • The set uses roughly the same color scheme as The Price Is Right at Night, with the audience pods being gold instead of blue (which carries over to subsequent primetime episodes).
  • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate 50 years of The Price Is Right!"
  • The Contestants' Row displays show the "50" logo against a blue background with specks of light floating upward across it; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal a dark, deep blue background.
  • The modified Barker Wall from Week 1 is used for Drew's entrance.
  • All six Barker's Beauties are present.
  • Plinko is played for $250,000, with $50,000 in the center slot; the lower values are also increased to $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000.
    • The "Dig We Must" money win cue is played if the $50,000 slot is hit.
  • Various CBS personalities congratulate the show on reaching its 50th season during the outro to the first commercial.
  • For no apparent reason, the price of the second Item up for Bids is written on the card for the sixth Item up for Bids.
  • The "Back to '72" sign is modified -- its colors are brighter, its background colors are shifted to the right, and its yellow portion is now capable of flashing. This change also carries over to the daytime show when the tapedates catch up.
  • The "50 Years" logo appears in one of the lower corners of the screen during several commercial outros in addition to the usual spots.
  • Hole in One is played for a restored 1972 For Mustang convertible.
  • Hole in One's golf bag has a "50" logo on it instead of the TPIR logo; this change also carries over to the daytime show.
  • Chris O'Donnell from NCIS: Los Angeles appears during Hole in One to make the inspiration putt.
  • Presumably due to an editing mistake, one of the audience reaction shots during the first Showcase Showdown has the trip to Hawaii from Back to '72 on Door #4.
  • Two of the clips played after the first Showcase Showdown are of the very first Showcase Showdown with the Rainbow Wheel from September 8, 1975's show (which was aired out of order on September 11). The clips are miscaptioned as being from June 6, 1981 (which, for the record, was a Saturday and thus had no show at all); this was corrected when the episode was rerun on the night of June 15.
  • Grocery Game is played for three rooms of furniture.
  • A montage of come on downs shown after the eighth contestant is called ends with Johnny calling down Vanna White on June 20, 1980; immediately afterward, Vanna makes a guest appearance to model the fifth Item up for Bids.

Week 3 (1,952 – 953xK): September 27-October 1

  • Originally scheduled for October 4-8.
  • On Monday, Hi Lo uses a hybrid of its current and classic reveals -- the prize is behind Door #2, and the camera zooms out from it after the plugs with the game already in place.
  • On Monday, the "50 Years" logo in the mid-show bumper is moved to the lower-right corner of the screen.
  • On Monday, Double Prices's alternate trip staging in front of Contestants' Row returns; its alternate alternate staging in front of the Turntable from Season 49 also continues to be used.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1973, with pictures of the first playings of Hi Lo, Range Game, and Lucky Seven.
  • On Tuesday, the TPIR logo on the Check Game checks is replaced with a "50" logo.
  • On Tuesday, Master Key reverts to its COVID protocol from early in Season 49 of Drew picking up the keys for the contestant.
  • On Wednesday, Pass the Buck's contestant passes the buck by himself.
  • On Thursday's show, which was taped before Week 1, Pay the Rent uses its original shopping bags.
  • On Thursday, the Barker's Beauties go back to moving the chosen number in Pick-a-Number.
  • On Thursday, the third podium that was added to 1 Right Price for Season 49 is removed; the Beauties again hold the one right price together during the game.
  • On Thursday, Switcheroo's checkmarks still light up gradually.

Week 4 (1,953 – 954xK): October 11-15

  • On Monday, the lights on the "Bargain Game" sign do not work.
  • On Monday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1974, with pictures of the first playings of Shell Game, Race Game, and Card Game.
  • Starting on Tuesday, Range Game begins with a zoomed-in shot of the top of the board.
  • On Wednesday, the "Shell Game" logo is on left and right screens of the center row of the Turntable wall instead of on the center screen.
  • Wednesday's show establishes that, as with any other special graphics, Shell Game's graphics take precedence over the "50" logo on the Turntable wall.
  • On Wednesday, the Barker's Beauties go back to helping Drew with the Gas Money reveals.
  • On Thursday, the first four contestants line up from right to left in Contestants' Row.
  • On Thursday, Drew goes back to interacting with 3 Strikes; the bucket used for discarded balls during Season 49 is done away with.
  • Friday's show uses the modified Barker Wall seen in Week 1.
  • On Friday, One Wrøng Price is played for three trips.
  • On Friday, Drew operates the 10 Chances board; he presses the buttons on this episode only, but he does continue to remove the prize labels.

Week 5 (1,954 – 955xK): October 4-8

  • Originally scheduled for October 18-22.
  • On Monday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" malfunctions during the commercial after the first Showcase Showdown and is shut off for the rest of the show.
  • On Wednesday, the Barker's Beauties go back to bringing out the blocks at the beginning of Eazy az 1 2 3.
  • On Thursday, the Barker's Beauties go back to flip the numbers to help Drew in One Away.
  • On Thursday only, Drew gives the $7 to the contestant in Lucky $even; he has her throw them on the ground when she makes mistakes.
  • On Friday, the "50" logo does not appear on the Turntable wall until the second part of the Showcase.
  • On Friday, Balance Game is played for a car.

Week 6 (1,955 – 956xK): October 25-29

  • On Monday, the modified Barker Wall seen in Week 1 returns permanently.
  • On Monday, every other small light bulb on the front of the Turntable's "doorframe" flashes throughout the show; they appear to be one fourth of a chase light sequence that is otherwise shut off.
  • On Monday, all of Vend-O-Price's reflective rims except for the border of the "WIN" display are replaced with steel.
  • On Monday, despite Door #2 being open, Safe Crackers is not shown on-camera while Drew and the contestant walk over to it.
  • On Monday, Pick-a-Number is played for a car.
  • On Monday, the set's lights never switch to their usual Hot Seat configuration during that game -- the square lights on Door #1 do not turn blue, and the Turntable lights stay on the color scheme for the sixth Item up for Bids.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1975, with pictures of early playings of Ten Chances, Poker Game, and Golden Road.
  • On Tuesday, Side by Side uses its original Door #2 staging instead of the repositioned staging introduced last season.
  • On Tuesday, the Barker's Beauties go back to help Drew in Stack the Deck.
  • On Wednesday, the lights in Switcheroo's holes are shut off; this appears to initially have been a malfunction, as some wiring is visible in the car hole, but it ends up becoming a permanent change.
  • Wednesday is also likely when Switcheroo's checkmarks are rewired to light up immediately instead of gradually; however, this cannot be confirmed, as nothing was won on either this or the next playing.
  • On Wednesday, Danger Price's prize labels are redone in a more standard font, and its prices are made much larger.
  • On Thursday, the window lights on Rat Race's small prize podium are turned off.
  • Friday's show is themed as a Halloween episode and is designed to appear as though it occurred during Season 1. As such, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Most of the set's lighted props besides the Big Doors and the dollar sign statue use the original, brown color scheme from the first three seasons.
    • Door #4's background is a set of spirals using the original color scheme. These graphics are also used on George's display.
    • The surface of the raised stage in the back of the audience is made up of brown carpeting, and its dollar sign is a glittery gold.
    • The audience and the cast all dress in stereotypical '70s costumes.
    • The Contestants' Row displays more or less take on their appearance from the first three seasons, with brown backgrounds, faux-eggcrate numbers, and a G-T asterisk that lights up on the left side of the winner's display.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four groovy contestants as we celebrate Halloween on The Price Is Right!"
    • For Drew's entrance, Door #2 opens to reveal a replica of the original Door #2, complete with its Season 1-3 color scheme and a "The New Price Is Right" logo; this second Door #2 then opens to reveal Drew.
    • Drew's entrance is backed by a Season 1 Turntable wall panel instead of the Barker Wall.
    • Drew uses a corded microphone (although one more akin to Gene Rayburn's signature mic than Bob's).
    • The Turntable screens use a slightly modified version of the "classic wall" graphics from the 1970s episode of Decades Week. The rest of the Turntable is also done up in earthtones, with gold glitter on the dollar sign and brown shag carpeting on the floor. The game side of the spinning panel uses the circle pattern seen on the front side for most of Season 1.
    • Wipe graphics are much more prevalent than usual and are noticeably choppy.
    • Most of the music cues are generic, '70s-style music; a few classic cues are used, as well (although not all from the '70s).
    • All of the pricing games either debuted in 1972 or, in the case of Back to '72, were designed to look like they did.
    • Double Prices is played with a replica of its original podium (and, thus, generic price tags), with a Super Ball!! dollar sign in place of the TPIR logo.
    • Manufacturer cards are used for some of the prizes.
    • The "50 Years" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • A trip skin is used for the fifth Item up for Bids.
    • George's calldown window is replaced with Rod's.
    • The Showcase podiums are replicas of the originals with their design from Season 1, including having the nameplates above the faux-eggcrate displays; in a further nod to the show's history, the nameplates start off reading "SHOWcase" with the classic capitalization. As the nameplates are physical props, the descriptive placards are not placed in them until during the commercial. Unlike the original, physical readouts, these displays center whatever appears on them.
    • The trip graphics in the Showcase use a stylized font.
    • The second showcase is themed around another show from the '70s, The Brady Bunch, and is presented by Christopher Knight, the portrayer of Peter Brady.
    • A disco remix of the theme plays during the credits.
  • On Friday, three Barker's Beauties are present; as such, George does not model during Most Expen$ive.
  • Beginning on Friday, the digit chart on Any Number is lit much more brightly.
  • On Friday, the price of the third Item up for Bids is on the card for the fifth Item up for Bids and vice versa.
  • On Friday, Back to '72 is played for $50,000.
  • On Friday, the modified "Back to '72" sign from the Celebration of 50 Years debuts on the daytime show.
  • On Friday, contestant Carol had previously appeared on the show during, coincidentally, Season 1; clips from her original appearance of her winning in Contestants' Row and playing Bonus Game are shown as she and Drew discuss it.
  • On Friday, Grocery Game is played for a car -- specifically, a restore 1972 Chevy pickup truck.
  • Friday's show is a three-car day.

Week 7 (1,956 – 957xK): October 18-22

  • Originally scheduled for November 1-5.
  • On Monday, the lights on the Big Doors do not chase during Bargain Game.
  • On Tuesday, the first four contestants line up from right to left in Contestants' Row.
  • On Tuesday, contestant Katherine, the Top Winner in the Showcase, had also been on the show 40 years earlier; while she is deciding whether to bid or pass the first showcase, clips are played of the Showcase from her first episode.
  • On Tuesday, One Away's horn is utilized in the second showcase.
  • On Thursday and Friday, every other small light bulb on the front of the Turntable's "doorframe" flashes throughout the show; they appear to be one fourth of a chase light sequence that is otherwise shut off.
  • On Thursday, the card normally used for the price of the third Item up for Bids is used for the fifth and vice versa. The envelopes remain in the correct acts.
  • On Thursday, Drew presses the button while explaining Bonkers, albeit with his arm and not his hand.
  • On Thursday, when Bonkers is won, the staff initially does not realize it and sounds the buzzer; the bells eventually go off as the contestant is running to the button to enter her next guess.

Week 8 (1,957 – 958xK): November 8-12

  • In Tuesday's Bargain Game, Drew acknowledges the game's original name, noting that "Even in my first year, it was called 'Barker's Bargain Bar,' even though I was not Barker."
  • On Tuesday, Secret "X" is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, the Barker's Beauties go back to draw cards to help Drew in Spelling Bee.
  • Thursday's show is themed around Veterans Day; everyone in the audience is a veteran or a veteran's relative. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4 shows the Barker logo on a shield above the word "Veterans," against a field of stripes and a background of cascading stars; the shield itself shows a reflection of a waving flag's stars. These graphics also appear on the Turntable walls (with the top and bottom rows only showing the background) and George's display.
    • Most of the lights on the set are red, white, and blue.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute veterans on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew's entrance is backed by a set of prize backdrops showing the American flag instead of the Barker Wall.
    • The set is decorated for the holiday.
    • The G-T asterisks in front of Contestants' Row are replaced with red, white, and blue stars.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show rotating stars on a field of blue; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
    • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are white.
    • George's calldown window and its dollar sign use their regular pink and blue colors instead of their Season 50 color scheme.
    • The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are blue.
  • On Thursday, Back to '72 is played for a car.

Week 9 (1,958 – 959xK): November 1-5

  • Originally scheduled for November 15-19.
  • On Monday, Drew forgets to have the Master Key contestant try her second key in the first lock before unlocking the car; he ends up checking it himself after she wins.
  • Monday's show features the first appearance in over 20 years of the "A Trip Down Main Street" showcase.
  • On Tuesday, Drew announces during One Away that he's learned that the sound effects are now being run by a gentleman; in spite of this, he continues the "Oh Mighty Sound Effects Lady" routine.
  • On Wednesday, Hi Lo is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, the light strips on the Big Doors' frames malfunction after the fifth game and are shut off throughout Act 6; they are partially repaired during the next commercial (with the exception of around 30% of Door #2's strip) but remain on their default colors for the rest of the show.
  • On Friday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1976, with pictures of early playings of Cliff Hangers, Danger Price, and Hurdles; in a rare acknowledgement of a retired game, Drew actually says that "we don't play [Hurdles] anymore."

Week 10 (1,959 – 960xK): November 15-19

  • Originally scheduled for November 22-26.
  • On Monday, the price of the second Item up for Bids is written on the card for the sixth Item up for Bids.
  • On Monday, Drew has the contestant do the price reveal in Bonkers.
  • On Tuesday, the window lights on Rat Race's main display are turned off.
  • On Tuesday, Rat Race's main display begins the game at full brightness.
  • In Tuesday's Rat Race, the second-place prize appears on the display when one of the contestant's rats finishes third; Drew announces the correct prize during the Showcase Showdown.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1977, with pictures of early playings of Squeeze Play, Professor Price, and Secret "X".
  • Wednesday's show features the final playing of Magic #.
  • On Friday, the Blue Man Group appears during the second showcase, which includes a trip to see them perform in Las Vegas.

Week 11 (1,960 – 961xK): November 22-24

  • Originally scheduled for November 29-December 1.
  • Thanksgiving week; only three shows.
  • As noted above, despite technically falling after the holiday, these episodes function as Thanksgiving week as a result of the adjustments made to the schedule when the season started a week early.
  • Wednesday's show is themed around Thanksgiving. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience, most of the lights on the Turntable, and George's podium are traditional fall colors.
    • The audience pods and the borders of Contestants' Row are orange.
    • Door #4 shows a Thanksgiving table setting with the "50" logo on a dinner plate at the center.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate Thanksgiving on The Price Is Right!"
    • The Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens, and George's display show leaves falling in front of a wood-panel wall; these graphics are accompanied by the "50" logo on the center Turntable screen and by the words "Happy Thanksgiving!" on George's display. The Contestants' Row graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors when the contestants bid.
    • The "50 Years" logo appears on the screen during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
    • The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are orange.
  • On Wednesday, the prize copy for the first Item up for Bids includes a plug for CBS's broadcast of the Thanksgiving Day Parade on the morning of Thursday, November 25.
  • Oddly, part of the prize copy for Wednesday's first Item up for Bids appears to have been edited out of the show; the closed captioning notes the inclusion of a Blu-Ray player that is present in the prize package but is never actually plugged.
  • On Wednesday, celebrity chef Giada DeLaurentiis appears to help present the third Item up for Bids, a trip to Las Vegas with a dinner at her restaurant; she also presents the second showcase, which is themed around her.
  • On Wednesday, contestant Samantha wins Range Game entirely thanks to the brief delay between her pressing the button and the operator stopping the rangefinder.
  • During Wednesday's second showcase, everyone in the audience receives a $100 voucher for Giadzy.com, Giada DeLaruentiis's website.

Week 11.33: Night of January 12

  • The Price Is Right at Night 11: First Responders (#048SP) airs on the night of Wednesday, January 12.
  • At this point, the schedule briefly jumps ahead to 2022 for two primetime specials that, despite their airdates, come before the one that airs during Week 14. Normally, the reasonable assumption would be that their airdates were shuffled, but as the latter show is a Christmas episode, that idea does not make sense here. In lieu of a specific spot in the schedule, I have chosen to put their notes in the airdate gap that was intended to occupy the week of November 29-December 3.
  • This episode is a salute to first responders; everyone in the audience is somehow involved in the police force, 911, or fire or medical services.
  • Door #4 show the words "First Responders" against a red version of the logo's backdrop, with a blue background and flashing police lights; seals of various law enforcement and medical services appear as parts of the text. These graphics also appear on the Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens (with the "logo" only appearing on the center screen), and George's display. When players bid, the Contestants' Row graphics wipe away to reveal a dark blue background.
  • The light columns around the audience are all dark blue.
  • The G-T asterisks around the audience are all red and gold.
  • The audience pods are blue with red centers.
  • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute first responders on The Price Is Right at Night!"
  • The Contestants' Row displays have red borders.
  • Drew's entrance is backed by prize backdrops showing the background from Door #4 instead of the Barker Wall.
  • Door #2 is flanked by monitors with the Door #4 graphics mounted on backdrops also showing those graphics.
  • The G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are light blue.
  • Most of the lights on the Turntable are red.
  • George's podium is red.
  • During the first Item up for Bids, George announces that everyone in the audience will receive a resort certificate for a seven-night stay at any Heroes Vacation Club property in the world; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to visit one of said gift certificates.
    • As this episode was aired out of order, it uses a new set of ticket plug graphics; the notes for these appear in Week 14.
  • Gridlock's cars are decorated as first responder vehicles -- the gray car is an EMT car, the blue cars are police cars, and the orange cars are fire trucks.
  • Grand Game is played for $20,000, with the lower prizes adjusted accordingly.
  • The "50 years" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
  • George's calldown window is pink, and its dollar sign is blue.
  • Before the Showcase, Drew announces that the show will be donating $50,000 to the First Responders' Children's Foundation, which provides support and scholarships for the children of first responders who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.

Week 11.67: Night of April 25

  • The Price Is Right at Night 12 (#049SP) airs on the night on Monday, April 25.
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; Rachel Brosnahan of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, who is called to come on down before the first game, plays for Covenant House, an agency that provides food, shelter, and other services to homeless and runaway youth. She also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around her show.
  • Beginning with this episode of The Price Is Right at Night, the words "at Night" are added in gold to the base of the zero in the "50" logo on Door #4, the center Turntable screen, and George's podium.
  • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are gold.
  • The G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are light blue.
  • The "50 years" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
  • On this episode only, Drew follows the pre-COVID practice of placing the first bag in Balance Game on the scales himself.

Week 12 (1,961 – 962xK): December 6-10

  • On Tuesday, Grocery Game is played for a car.
  • Beginning on Thursday, the "To the Penny" sign is not lowered all the way onto the gameboard.

Week 13 (1,962 – 963xK): December 13-16, 29

  • Originally scheduled for December 13-17.
  • This Friday's episode, #9635K, and Week 15's Wednesday show, #9653K, were aired in place of one another; given the two shows' similar production numbers, it seems possible that they were swapped by mistake.
  • For a brief period beginning on Tuesday, Range Game is revealed with a dissolve straight from Contestants' Row to the board, similar to the cut used up through Season 34.
  • On Wednesday, the back side of the flap covering the price in Push Over is white instead of black.
  • Beginning on Wednesday, classic cues are used for Back to '72's small prizes.
  • On Wednesday, an array of G-T asterisks is added to the background of Back to '72's actual prices, and the background of its differences becomes orange.
  • On Thursday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1978, with pictures of early playings of Finish Line, Shower Game, and It's Optional.
  • On Thursday, Most Expen$ive is played for three trips.
  • Beginning on Friday, prizes for games played on the Turntable are sometimes staged behind the Giant Price Tag; this practice appears to be discontinued once Season 50 ends.
  • On Friday, after the second Showcase Showdown, Drew plugs a rerun "tonight" of The Price Is Right Celebrates 50 Years, which airs on the night of Wednesday, December 29; this promo was presumably originally intended for episode #9653K.

Week 14 (1,963 – 964xK): December 22, 21, 20, 23, 24 + Wednesday night

  • The Price Is Right at Night 13 (#050SP) airs on Wednesday night.

    • The stage in the back of the audience is decorated as a living room with an old-timey TV showing the logo and light border on a Barker episode.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate the holidays on The Price Is Right!"
    • The second and third Contestants' Row displays are green and red instead of blue and yellow; additionally, the two red displays have red borders, as well.

    • The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are red.
  • On Monday, Bargain Game is laced with garland.
  • On Monday, everyone in the audience receives a pair of Jabra wireless headphones, a portion of the third Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win a set of said headphones.
  • On Monday, a new set of gold and silver ticket plug graphics is introduced, with the graphics now being backed by a padded Turntable screen.
  • On Monday, 1/2 Off is played for $50,000.
  • On Monday, 1/2 Off's boxes are each topped with a ribbon.
  • On Monday, Drew plugs "tonight's" TPIR at Night after the second Showcase Showdown; this segment would presumably have aired with Wednesday's show had the week been broadcast in order.
  • On Tuesday, everyone in the audience receives a $250 gift card from APL, the provider of part of the third Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said gift cards.
  • In Tuesday's Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber and his associated graphics are wearing a Santa hat and carrying a bag of Christmas presents.
  • On Wednesday, everyone in the audience receives a two-day trip to Palm Springs, a portion of the fifth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said trips.

  • On Friday, Bonus Game is played for a car.
Primetime
  • This episode features families playing together.
  • The set is decorated for Christmas, albeit differently than on the daytime show.
  • Door #4 shows a winter scene with a nighttime backdrop; its logo is a snow-covered "50" logo.
  • Instead of calling every single contestant's name, George merely announces, "The [insert name] family, come on down!"
  • The opening ends with, "You are the first four families as we celebrate the holidays on The Price Is Right at Night!"
  • The Contestants' Row displays show snow falling against a blue background, along with the nighttime "50" logo. When bids are made, the graphics wipe away to reveal a dark blue background. These graphics also appear on George's display.

  • Most Expen$ive is played for three trips.
  • Secret "X"'s name is temporarily changed to Secret Santa, with Santa faces replacing the Xs in gameplay and in the logo; the Xs on the small prize backdrops remain.

Week 15 (1,964 – 965xK): December 27-28, 17, 30-31

  • Originally scheduled for December 27-31.
  • On Wednesday, the ticket plug graphics from before Week 14 are used; assuming that the episode in question was swapped with December 17's show by mistake, this was likely also an error.
  • Beginning on Thursday, when Back to '72 is won, the dial counts down the amount of money lost on the last item before switching to "WIN!"
  • On Thursday, That's Too Much! is played for a $33,000 Nissan Frontier.

When the players bid, the graphics on Contestants' Row wipe away to reveal a dark blue background.
    • The audience pods are gold.

    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we ring in 2022 on The Price Is Right!"

    • George's podium is gold.
    • In the spirit of the coming year, Grand Game is played for $22,000, with the lower prize adjusted accordingly.
    • Range Game emulates the New Year's ball drop, with the rangefinder, surrounded by a disco ball graphic, moving down from the top of the scale.
    • After the Showcase, Drew has everyone do a New Year's Eve countdown; as they hit zero, confetti flies, and Auld Lang Syne starts playing.
  • On Friday, One Wrøng Price is played for three trips.
  • On Friday, Range Game goes back to being revealed with a zoomed-in shot of the top of the board.
  • On Friday, Range Game is played for a car.

Week 16 (1,965 – 966xK): January 3-7

  • On Monday, Money Game is played with gold Turntable walls and a blue light strip on the spinning panel instead of their usual color schemes.
  • On Thursday, when Drew inserts the Pick-a-Number contestant's choice into the price, the digit slides partway down inside the board; this is eventually revealed to be because the correct digit, upon which the chosen digit is supposed to rest, has itself slid halfway out of its slot.
  • On Thursday, Hi Lo is played for a car.
  • On Thursday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 1980, with pictures of early playings of Grand Game, Trader Bob, and Now....and Then.

  • On Wednesday, the blue G-T asterisk pattern from the box seats is added to the interior wall of the audience pit.
  • On Wednesday only, Drew has the contestant remove the prize labels in 10 Chances.
  • On Friday, George ends the second, Germany-themed showcase by saying, "It's yours, but only if der preis ist heiß!" invoking the name of Germany's version of The Price Is Right.

Week 18 (1,967 – 968xK): January 21, 18-20, 17 + Wednesday night

  • The Price Is Right at Night 14 (#051SP) airs on Wednesday night.
  • Daytime shows originally scheduled for January 17-21.
Daytime
  • On Monday, Pay the Rent's intro is much shorter than usual, starting with only six measures left in the cue.
  • Beginning on Monday, supervising producer Dillon Couvillon's first name is misspelled as "Dillion" in the short credit roll. The full credits continue to spell it correctly.
    • This misspelling does not occur on Tuesday and Friday, which were taped before the week's other three episodes. This error is never fixed before Couvillon leaves the show at the end of the season.
  • On Wednesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1981, with pictures of an early playing of Super Ball!!, a "2,000" opening title from the ceremonial 2,000th episode, and an early playing of Blank Check.
  • For a brief period beginning on Friday, the COVID protocol of the Dice Game table being in place at the start of the game is reinstated.
Primetime
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; the hosts of The Talk, who are all called down at once before the first game, play for Feeding America, a non-profit that funds over 200 food banks. All five hosts participate in the first two games and the second Showcase Showdown, while two each appear in the third through sixth games. The hosts also help to present both showcases, which are themed around them.
  • The G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are blue.
  • As the special was taped before this week's daytime shows, the interior wall of the audience pit is still black.
  • Cover Up's "wrong price" breaks from this season's pattern on the daytime show and consists of photos of each of the five hosts of The Talk.
  • The "50 Years" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
  • As of this episode, Drew no longer puts on a mask when he helps a contestant spin the Big Wheel.
  • Presumably to facilitate social distancing with the Race Game Curtain down, Drew and the contestant walk to the Turntable before That's Too Much!.
  • The credits include the COVID-19 travel disclaimer from Season 48, which states that trips to areas affected by the disease "may be fulfilled with alternative arrangements" and urges viewers to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's website at CDC.gov for more information about the virus. This disclaimer is also added to the daytime show's credits when the tapedates catch up.

Week 19 (1,968 – 969xK): January 24-28

  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1982, with pictures of an early playing of Check-Out, a close-up of the logo on the Clam, and an early playing of Pick a Pair.
  • On Wednesday, in a departure from standard procedure, Drew allows a cocked cube favoring $1,500 to count in Let 'em Roll; generally, tilted cubes are either rerolled or only counted if they favor a car.
  • On Thursday, for no apparent reason, Side by Side is played at Door #2 for a trip displayed on the Turntable screens.
  • In Friday's Grocery Game, the cash register's sound effects either do not work or are not audible.

Week 20 (1,969 – 970xK): March 31, January 31-February 1, 3-4

  • Originally scheduled for January 31-February 4.
  • On Monday, Drew goes back to pressing the buttons in 10 Chances.
  • Monday's second showcase is themed around the Grammy Awards, which were originally scheduled to air that night on CBS before being delayed until Sunday, April 3, and moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas over COVID concerns. Dionne Warwick appears to help present the showcase, which includes a trip to Los Angeles and a bonus of two tickets to the Grammys and their afterparty (a combination that made sense at the time the episode was taped). While it did not appear on-air, the contestants were presumably instructed not to include the tickets while bidding.
  • Monday's Showcase requires several extra notes because of the rescheduling and relocation of the Grammy Awards:
    • The second showcase was edited with new graphics and new announcing from George to reflect the new airdate of the awards show, which was plugged during the prize copy.
    • As a result of the rescheduling and relocation, the second showcase ended up offering a trip to one city and tickets to an event in a different city. It is unknown how this would have been dealt with had they been won; luckily for the staff, who would presumably have had to find a way to compensate the contestant, they weren't.
    • In a case of irony that could not have been foreseen at the time of taping, the contestant who won the other showcase did win a trip to Las Vegas in Contestants' Row.
  • On Monday, for no apparent reason, "Bhen" is played briefly during the second showcase.
  • On Monday, the COVID trip disclaimer from TPIR at Night 14 is added to the daytime show's credits.
  • On Tuesday only, the second line of the opening is shortened to, "From the Bob Barker Studio in Hollywood, it's The Price Is Right!"
  • On Thursday, while Rachel is modeling the second Item up for Bids, a snow blower, Drew throws a handful of fake snow at her; later on, during Hole in One, Rachel sneaks up behind him with a cup of fake snow and throws it on him during the inspiration putt. At beginning of Friday's show, when Rachel gives Drew his microphone, he can be heard telling her, "There's still snow in my hair!"
  • On Friday, the window lights on Rat Race's main prop are shut off.

Week 21 (1,970 – 971xK): February 7-11

  • On Wednesday, the Big Doors appear to malfunction during the first Showcase Showdown -- none of the light strips turn red, and the square lights flash throughout the round.
  • On Wednesday, Hi Lo is played for an electric vehicle; while this does not qualify as a "car" by most definitions, it is more expensive than the actual car offered earlier in Any Number.
  • On Wednesday, Hi Lo's prize reveal uses both Door #3 and Door #2 -- James drives the vehicle through and behind both doors before Rachel brings out the counter.
  • On Wednesday, Hi Lo uses its classic reveal.
  • On Thursday, the Pass the Buck contestant passes the buck by herself.
  • On Thursday, the upper-right segment of the tenths digit on the Big Wheel scoreboard refuses to light up during the second Showcase Showdown; Drew assures the viewers that "we'll get it fixed by tomorrow."
  • On Thursday, Drew misreads (or the staff miswrites) the price of the first showcase as $43,979; it is actually $43,797. The difference of $7,497 shown on the contestant's podium is correct.
  • On Friday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1983, with pictures of the first playings of Plinko, The Phone Home Game, and Walk of Fame.
  • On Friday, after the Showcase, Drew plugs next Monday's Valentine's Day episode.

Week 22 (1,971 – 972xK): February 14-18 + Monday night

  • The Price Is Right at Night 15: Valentine's Day (#052SP) airs on Monday night.
Daytime
  • Monday's show is themed around Valentine's Day, with married couples playing as teams. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The light columns in the audience are pink and purple, and the G-T asterisks in the audience are red, pink, purple, and white.
    • Door #4 shows the "50" logo against a blue background with a sunburst on the bottom; pink hearts also cascade up the screen.
    • The audience pods are purple, and their screens show two purple hearts against a glittery background.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four couples as we celebrate Valentine's Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • The borders of Contestants' Row are white.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show a variation of Door #4's background with a purple sunburst instead of a yellow one; when contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal a dark pink background. These graphics also appear on the Turntable screens and George's display; the center Turntable screen and George's display also have a large, pink heart with a gold Barker logo on it.
    • Drew's entrance is backed by a set of pink backdrops with hearts on them instead of the Barker Wall.
    • The light's on the Turntable's doorframe and stairs are pink, and the lights on its wall between the screens are blue and pink.
    • George's podium is pink.
    • The thin ring lights on Bullseye are pink.
    • Bullseye's arrows are pink, and their bases are hearts. Graphics of these arrows also replace the usual pins in the "Around the World" showcase.
    • The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is pink.
    • George's calldown window and its dollar sign are pink.
  • On Monday, a column is added on each side of Hot Seat's button podium, and padded armrests are installed on the chair. These set changes are only present on this episode.
  • On Monday, after the Showcase, Drew plugs that evening's The Price Is Right at Night.
  • Wednesday's show features the 1,000th playing of Card Game.
  • On Wednesday, Drew reveals at the beginning of the Showcase that the Top Winner, Patricia, had told him during the commercial that she had won the Showcase 30 years earlier; a clip of her doing so, also as the Top Winner, is played as Drew explains this.
  • On Thursday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1984, with pictures of early playings of Balance Game '84, On the Nose, and One Away.
  • On Friday, the Beauties again go back to bringing out the Dice Game table during the game's reveal.
Primetime
  • Like Monday's daytime show, the episode is themed around Valentine's Day, this time with newlywed couples playing as teams.
  • This special is a celebrity charity episode; newlyweds Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas, who are called to come on down before the first game, play for Operation Therapy, an organization that uses animals to help veterans who suffer from PTSD. They also help to present the second showcase, which is themed around them.
  • The light columns in the audience are red, and the G-T asterisks in the audience are red and purple.
  • The light strip around the audience is pink.
  • Door #4 shows the nighttime "50" logo against a purple version of the background from Monday's daytime show with a red sunburst and red hearts. The background also appears on the Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens, and George's display, with the center Turntable screen and George's display also showing the nighttime "50" logo. When the contestants bid, the graphics on Contestants' Row wipe away to reveal a dark pink background.
  • The audience pods are purple with red centers.
  • The opening ends with, "You are the first four newlywed couples as we celebrate Valentine's Day on The Price Is Right at Night!"
  • The borders of Contestants' Row are red.
  • The Barker Wall is modified, with a glittery, red dollar sign and a pink and purple background filled with hearts.
  • The lights on the Turntable walls between the screens are red and purple.

  • Presumably to facilitate social distancing, Drew, the contestants, and the celebrities stand on the Turntable instead of in front of it before any games concealed by the Race Game Curtain.
  • Cliff Hangers is played for two cars.
  • The mountain climber and his corresponding graphics are dressed as cupid and are holding a bow and arrow.
  • Presumably to facilitate social distancing, Double Prices is staged farther out from the Big Doors than usual.
  • The "50 Years" logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
  • As on Monday's daytime show, George's calldown window and its dollar sign are pink.
  • The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is red.

Week 23 (1,972 – 973xK): February 21, 24-25, 22-23

  • Originally scheduled for February 21-25.
  • This week is Dream Car Week; every day, at least one game is played for a car that would normally only appear in 3 Strikes or Golden Road, as follows:
    • On Monday, Let 'em Roll is played for a Maserati.
    • On Tuesday, Rat Race is played for a Porsche; additionally, a $37,000 Mini Cooper is offered in That's Too Much!.

    • The light strip around the audience is the same shade of blue as George's podium.
    • Door #4 shows a sports car with the "50" logo on its hood driving down a strip of highway against a red background with streaks of light zipping by; the text "Dream Car Week" appears at the base of the car.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate Dream Car Week on The Price Is Right!"
    • The Contestants' Row displays show a sports car of the appropriate color; when the contestants bid, the cars drive off, with their streaks of speed leaving the bids in their wake. Additionally, the displays' borders are the same color as their screens.
    • At the end of the opening, the screen transitions to a trip screen next to Door #2 showing the same graphics as Door #4, with the logo disappearing as the shot changes; the camera then pans over to show Drew driving through the Big Doors in the day's dream car.
    • Highway prize backdrops with a still image of the Door #4 graphics sit behind Door #2 during Drew's entrance instead of the Barker Wall. These backdrops are also used for each day's dream car (with the obvious exception of Thursday's).
    • Most of the lights on the Turntable are red, while the lights between the screens are gold.
    • The Turntable screens and George's display show a fuller version of the red background from Door #4; George's display also has the "Dream Car Week" text on it.
    • The Big Wheel's carpet is replaced by a strip of highway.
    • In the Showcase Showdown, the $25,000 prize for getting a dollar in a bonus spin is replaced with an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint; the car sits onstage alongside the Big Wheel.
  • Furthermore, each show this week has more car games than usual, as follows:
    • On Monday, all six games, including Secret "X", Clock Game, Balance Game, and Switch?, are played for cars; Switch? specifically is played for two cars.
    • The remaining four episodes are all three-car days.
  • On Monday, the classic "truck/van cue" is used for Secret "X"'s car, and the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour theme is used in Let 'em Roll.
  • The cash prizes in Monday's Let 'em Roll are increased to $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000. (The game's wipe graphics are not changed to reflect this.)
  • On Tuesday, except for a brief moment at the end of the prize plugs for the second game, the light strip around the audience is shut off for the entire first half of the show; it finally begins working during the commercial after the fourth game.
  • On Tuesday, the price of the dream car in Rat Race is announced at the end of the prize copy; the prices of the first two prizes remain unrevealed, as usual
  • On Tuesday, the window lights on Rat Race's main prop are shut off.
  • On Wednesday, Amber is shown modeling the day's dream car before Drew asks for a contestant at the top of Act 4.
  • On Wednesday, as noted above, Grocery Game is played for a car.
  • Wednesday marks the first appearance of 6-digit 10 Chances. As per usual, all the numbers in the price of the car are provided with no extras.
  • On Friday, Plinko is played for a car and $40,000, with a "CAR" slot replacing the $10,000 slot until it is hit. The car is placed behind Door #3; it is flanked by the small prize podiums, with no more than two of them appearing onstage at once.
  • On Friday, after going over in the first Showcase Showdown, contestant Kari gets lost trying to leave the stage and spends the next contestant's entire first spin wandering around between the Turntable and Door #1.
  • On Friday, the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour theme is used in Hole in One.
  • On Friday, while signing off, Drew mentions that Dream Car Week "continues tomorrow;" this reflects the show's out-of-order broadcast on Wednesday.

Week 24 (1,973 – 974xK): February 28-March 4

  • On Monday, both of Hot Seat's buttons come loose from their moorings during the game; fortunately, they continue to work and do not break completely off.
  • On Monday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 1989, with pictures of early playings of of $uper $aver, Make Your Move, and 2 for the Price of 1.
  • For a brief period beginning on Tuesday, Eazy az 1 2 3 reinstates the COVID protocol of bringing the blocks out to Drew during the prize descriptions.
  • On Wednesday, during Master Key, the Turntable walls use the red/yellow/green color scheme normally used for Make Your Move.
  • On Thursday, Pick-a-Number is played for a car.

Week 25 (1,974 – 975xK): March 7-11

  • On Thursday, Time I$ Møney ends with the contestant winning nothing despite having everything in the right place because time had run out a fraction of a second before he could press the button. A slow-motion instant replay of the end of the game is shown while going to commercial.

Week 26 (1,975 – 976xK): March 14-16

  • March Madness week; only three shows.
  • Monday's show is themed around spring break, with an audience of all college students. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4 shows a beach scene, with the ocean spreading out in the background and the sun shining out from behind the logo. The text "Spring Break" is scrawled across the bottom of the 0 in the logo. The background graphics also appear on the Turntable screens and George's display, with the latter also showing the "Spring Break" text.
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience are all shades of orange, yellow, and light blue.
    • The light columns in the audience are orange and light blue.
    • The light strip around the audience is dark blue.
    • The audience pods are light blue with orange centers.
    • The right-hand box seat is painted red and orange like a sunrise and is set up as a booth for guest DJ Carisma Robertson from KPWR, who plays music for the audience during the commercials.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants on this spring break edition of The Price Is Right!"
    • The Contestants' Row displays show the "Spring Break" text against the sun rays from Door #4; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
    • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays, from left to right, are orange, light blue, yellow, and dark blue.
    • Most of the lights on the Turntable are orange and light blue.
    • Except during the opening, the regular version of the theme is replaced by a dance remix.
  • Beginning on Monday, when Do the Math is played for trips, the prize labels are left blank until after the destinations have been revealed on the trip screens and the prize copy has been read.
  • On Monday, everyone in the audience receives a Tribit speaker, earbuds, and headphones, a portion of the fourth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win said prizes.
  • On Wednesday, Pay the Rent's intro is much shorter than usual, starting with only six measures left in the cue.

Week 27 (1,976 – 977xK): March 21, 22, 24, 23, 25

  • Originally scheduled for March 21-25.
  • On Wednesday, Drew shaves off his beard. It gradually grows back in over the next month or so.
  • Wednesday's show is loosely themed around the 35th anniversary of The Bold and the Beautiful. John McCook and Lawrence Saint-Victor, the portrayers of Eric Forrester and Carter Walton on the soap, are introduced during the third Item up for Bids and act as extra models for the remainder of the episode; they also help to present the second showcase, which is themed around their show.
    • Despite Wednesday's out-of-order broadcast being tied to B&B's anniversary, the anniversary actually is Wednesday; however, the soap was running one day behind schedule at this point thanks to a recent pre-emption, so the anniversary show ended up being pushed to Thursday, and Price's Wednesday and Thursday shows were swapped to accommodate it.
      • Ironically, B&B ended up being pre-empted again on Thursday, with the anniversary show ultimately airing on Friday.
  • On Thursday, while presenting a basketball hoop during the second Item up for Bids, Rachel manages to get a ball stuck in mid-air in the net.
  • On Friday, the Pass the Buck contestant passes the buck by herself.
  • On Friday, when the Pass the Buck contestant finds the car on her first pick, the theme does not begin playing until she decides to quit; while this is entirely consistent with the game's rules, it is nonetheless not what usually happens.

Week 28 (1,977 – 978xK): March 28-30, April 1

  • Only four shows; Thursday has the delayed January 30 episode, which was rescheduled along with the Grammy Awards thanks to a tie-in showcase.
  • On Tuesday, a bad edit during Punch a Bunch briefly makes Door #1 appear to only have seven panels, one of which is unusually wide and changes colors halfway across.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 1992, with pictures of early playings of Pick-a-Number, Buy or Sell, and Magic #.
  • On Wednesday, Pete Holmes and Katie Lowes, the stars of How We Roll, which premieres on Thursday night, appear to help present the second showcase, which is themed around their show.
  • Friday's show is themed around April Fool's Day. Various things throughout the episode are intentionally done wrong or in unusual ways, as follows:
    • The audience does not sit back down after their standing ovation during Drew's entrance until the first commercial.
    • When Alexis opens the first Item up for Bids, a refrigerator, its shelves collapse, and their contents fall on the floor. The crew is later seen on-camera cleaning up the mess.
    • The clips shown on the TV offered in 1 Right Price are of pricing games being lost instead of won.
    • Drew and George are edited into the safari pictures for the trip to South Africa offered in Bonkers.
    • The first half has no car game. Instead, the third Item up for Bids is a car, and immediately afterward, Cliff Hangers is played for a $580 dash cam, which on a normal day would have been the Item up for Bids preceding the car. The camera is staged behind Door #3 as though it were a perfectly normal prize package.
      • In keeping with this theme, the small prizes in Cliff Hangers are all car accessories.
    • While modeling the fourth Item up for Bids, a bar set, Manuela and Alexis attempt to clink their martini glasses together and instead shatter both of them; as these were supposedly part of the prize package, George revises his description to say that the prize comes with four martini glasses instead of six.
    • Push Over's blocks stick together, hanging in mid-air instead of falling off the table.
    • The fifth Item up for Bids, a ping pong table, includes 1,008 ping pong balls, which rain down from the ceiling onto Manuela and Alexis. (Manuela and Alexis also do an unusually bad job of playing ping pong while modelling the prize; it is unclear whether this was intentional or a happy coincidence.)
    • In Balance Game, Manuela is unable to lift the prize bag; Drew eventually comes over to help her, lifting it himself almost effortlessly.
    • When throwing to commercial after Balance Game, Drew reminds the viewers that Price is "only on ABC."
    • A gorilla skulks around behind George as he demonstrates the sixth Item up for Bids, a VR fitness system; eventually, George falls off the apparatus, removes his goggles, finds himself face to face with the gorilla, nearly faints, takes a moment to pull himself together, shakes his head, and walks offstage.
    • Part of the It's in the Bag sign is missing, leaving the sixth onstage contestant to play "Bag."
    • The third bag in It's in the Bag contains a can of refried beans, no backing, and Jonathan Mangum eating the beans. Drew does not appear to have been told about this in advance -- in fact, he is so startled by seeing Jonathan that he backs up and drops and breaks his microphone (fortunately, the crew had another one ready for him).
    • Jonathan Mangum models the car in the first showcase. (Please note that we are using the term "models" very loosely here.)
    • The gorilla from the sixth Item up for Bids models the car in the second showcase. (Again, we use the term "models" loosely, albeit less so than with Jonathan.)
    • Jonathan and the gorilla both join the cast onstage during the credits.
  • On Friday, Balance Game is played for a car.
  • On Friday, in order to make the game lineup work for the April Fool's Day stunt, no real car games are played.
  • On Friday, a montage of the episode's most intentionally ridiculous moments is played during the credits.

Week 29 (1,978 – 979xK): April 4-8

  • Monday's show is themed as a baby shower; all of the contestants are expectant mothers. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4's background is a pile of pastel balloons with the sky visible in the background.
    • Door #4's logo has the text "Baby Shower" below the 0.
    • The G-T asterisks in the audience are all pastel shades of red, blue, and yellow.
    • The light strip around the audience is pink.
    • The light columns around the audience are pink and green.
    • The audience pods are pink with green centers.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants on this special baby shower episode of The Price Is Right!"
    • The borders of Contestants' Row are green on the red and yellow displays and pink on the blue and green displays.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show the background from Door #4 and the "Baby Shower" text. When the contestants bids, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
    • The set is decorated for the special.
    • The light strip around the spinning panel of the Turntable wall is light blue. All of the other lights on the Turntable are pink and green.
    • The bottom two rows of Turntable screens show the background from Door #4, while the top row shows balloons flying up into the sky. The center screen also shows the "Baby Shower" text (and, unusually for this season, not any version of the logo). The graphics from the center screen also appear on George's display.
    • George's podium is pink and green.
    • The trip offered in Pick-a-Number is described as being specifically for "you and your partner;" as trips must be taken by the person who won them and cannot be given to someone else, it is unclear whether this language was intended to be romantic or literal.
  • On Monday, everyone in the audience receives a $300 gift card from The Short Years, the provider of the third Item up for Bids, and an Itsy travel stroller from Contours, a portion of the fourth Item up for Bids; these also serve as PriceIsRight.com plugs, as George urges viewers to visit the website for chances to win one of said gift cards and one of said strollers.
  • On Tuesday, the Turntable walls do not change colors during Flip Flop.
  • On Wednesday, Make Your Move's first two prizes are staged in front of Contestants' Row, with the third, a trip, appearing on Door #4.
  • On Wednesday, during the fourth Item up for Bids, Drew mishears the third contestant's bid of "a flat 50" as "five-fifty;" fortunately, he would not have won either way, and the error seems unlikely to have substantially affected the fourth contestant.
  • On Thursday, Gridlock! malfunctions, causing the cars to change lanes extremely slowly. Rachel ends up moving the contestant's last guess by herself in order to move the game along.
  • On Friday, contestant Robert becomes something of a running gag after he impresses Drew with his voice during the "Oh, Mighty Sound Effects Lady" routine in One Away early in the show. After having him say, "It's a new car!" for the sake of hearing it, Drew jokingly declares him the show's new announcer, and he does subsequently call down the sixth contestant; as a follow-up, when the show returns from the final commercial, the camera focuses on a dejected-looking George sitting in the audience. After losing the first Showcase Showdown, Robert also takes a turn as a Barker's Beauty during the second showcase, does the "Have your pet spayed or neutered" line during Drew's sign-off, and joins the cast onstage during the credits.

Week 30 (1,979 – 980xK): April 11-15

  • On Monday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 1994, with pictures of early playings of Joker, Side by Side, and Barker's Marker$. (Notably, the only game that debuted during the skipped year 1993 was Cover Up itself.)
  • Monday's second showcase includes two tickets to the CMT Music Awards, which air that night on CBS.
  • On Tuesday, Pay the Rent's intro is much shorter than usual, starting with only six measures left in the cue.
  • On Thursday, Freeze Frame's prize description dissolves to a close-up of the game's sign instead of a full shot of the board.

Week 31 (1,980 – 981xK): April 18-22

  • Monday's show features pairs of siblings aged 11-18 playing as teams, with a parent joining the final two teams onstage during the Showcase. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • Door #4 shows a cartoonish lawn with three pairs of blocky, craft-ish siblings at the front and a non-gold version of the "50" logo at the center.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first eight contestants as we celebrate siblings on The Price Is Right!"
    • The border of each Contestant's Row display is that display's color.
    • Each Contestants' Row display shows the background from Door #4 with the word "Siblings" at the center and a correspondingly-colored pair of blocky siblings on the left. When the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
    • The Turntable screens and George's display each show the background from Door #4; the center Turntable screen also shows the non-gold "50" logo and two pairs of blocky siblings, and George's display also shows the "Siblings" text from Contestants' Row.
    • In Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber has a similarly-dressed sister who goes up the mountain with him. The sister is also added to the game's graphics.
    • Because of the potential ages of the contestants, no cars are offered until the Showcase, when they are joined by a parent; in lieu of car games, one game is played for cash in each half.
    • Every kid in the audience receives a photography starter bundle, a set of photo sheets, and an instant camera, a portion of the fourth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said packages.
    • Punch a Bunch's $25,000 bill has a childhood photograph of Drew and his brothers Roger and Neil.
  • In Monday's Cliff Hangers, "On the Franches Mountains" starts from the beginning on every prize.
  • On Monday, Pick-a-Pair is played for $10,000.
  • On Monday, the Barker's Beauties again go back to bringing out Eazy az 1 2 3's blocks after the prize descriptions.
  • On Monday, two small prize games and a grocery item game are played.
  • On Friday, in honor of Earth Day, everyone in the audience receives an eco-friendly cleaning package from Cleancult, a portion of the second Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said packages.

Week 32 (1,981 – 982xK): April 25-29

  • On Monday, after the Showcase, Drew plugs episode #049SP, which airs that night.
  • On Tuesday, Drew lets the contestant operate Flip Flop.
  • On Tuesday, after the first showcase, the display on the Top Winner's podium can be seen changing from "SHOWCASE" to "CAR"; this is noteworthy only because the descriptions are always installed or lit up off-camera.
  • On Wednesday, Lucky $even's COVID protocols are rescinded; the contestant again holds the money and gives Drew any dollars she loses.
  • On Wednesday, Drew misreads (or the staff miswrites) the price of the first showcase as $24,469; it is actually $24,465. The difference of $1,756 shown on the contestant's podium is correct.
  • On Thursday, One Wrøng Price is played for three trips.

Week 33 (1,982 – 983xK): May 3, 2, 4-6

  • Originally scheduled for May 2-6.
  • On Monday, in honor of Teachers Appreciation Day, everyone in the audience is a teacher. (It should be noted that Teachers Appreciation Day is actually Tuesday, the day the episode was broadcast; it is unclear why the theme was used on Monday's show.) Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The light columns around the audience are all the same shame of green as a chalkboard.
    • The audience pods, the light strip around the audience, and the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" are yellow.
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience have a slightly different color scheme than usual; the most noticeable change is that none of them are purple.
    • Door #4's logo is a white chalk outline of the 5 from the "50" logo, colored in with yellow chalk; a chalk drawing of the gold Barker logo surrounded by a chalk outline of an apple; and the word "Teachers" written beneath them in vibrating, white, chalk letters. The "Teachers" text also appears, backed by the apple, on the center Turntable screen, and the gold Barker logo with the apple around it also appears on George's display.
    • Door #4's background is a chalkboard with equations on it related to the word "Price," similar to the background and backdrops in Do the Math. Similar backgrounds appear on the Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens, and George's display. When contestants bid, their bids are "written" onto their displays in chalk.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate Teachers Appreciation Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • Drew's entrance is backed by Do the Math's prize backdrops instead of the Barker Wall.
    • The set is decorated for the special.
    • The lights on the Turntable's stairs are blue, yellow, and red, from bottom to top.
    • The light strips on the Turntable's spinning panel are green.
    • The lights between the Turntable screens and on George's podium are green and yellow.
  • On Monday, Drew operates Flip Flop. It is unclear whether this is a change or the show was taped out of order.
  • On Monday, two small prize games and a grocery item game are played.
  • On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" features 1995, with pictures of an early playing of Freeze Frame, the mailing address from the ticket plug, and an early playing of Split Decision.
  • On Tuesday, after the Showcase, Drew announces that they'll be celebrating teachers "tomorrow;" this refers to the two shows' swapped airdates.
  • On Wednesday, Drew lets the contestant operate Coming or Going.
  • On Wednesday, Drew goes back to pulling the lever while explaining Race Game.
  • Friday's show is themed around Mother's Day, with mothers playing alongside one or more of their adult children. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
    • The G-T asterisks around the audience are all pastel shades of the three secondary colors.
    • The light columns around the audience are all gray.
    • The light strips around the audience and on the Turntable's "doorframe" are a pastel orange.
    • The audience pods are gray with purple centers.
    • Door #4 shows the "50" logo, with the words "Mother's Day" at its base, against a tabletop strewn with flowers. The background also appears on the center Turntable screen, along with the "Mother's Day" text; a variation of it appears on the remaining Turntable screens; and a different variation of it, with a coffee cup featuring the "50" logo in coffee art, appears on George's display.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first 10 contestants as we celebrate Mother's Day on The Price Is Right!"
    • The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are light green.
    • The Contestants' Row displays show appropriately-colored flower arrangements, each with a card honoring mothers; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
      • This episode also introduces a new wipe graphic for Contestants' Row; instead of moving smoothly across the display, the transition now has more of a dissolve effect.
    • The set is decorated for Mother's Day.
    • From bottom to top, the Turntable's stairs are purple, green, and orange.
    • The lights on the Turntable wall are purple.
    • George's podium is gold.
    • Three Barker's Beauties (Rachel, Manuela, and Amber) are present, all of them mothers.
    • The dollar sign on George's calldown window is pink.
  • On Friday, the first measure is absent from Grand Game's intro cue.
  • On Friday, a new set of shimmery, letterboxed graphics is introduced for trip plugs. As the episode was taped out of order, these graphics do not appear on any of the shows immediately surrounding this one.
  • On Friday, contestant Eleanor reveals that she had been on the show 30 years earlier and had been pregnant at the time with her daughter, Bethany -- her partner onstage for this episode.
  • On Friday, everyone in the audience receives a two-night trip to Temecula, a portion of the sixth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said trips.
  • On Friday, Balance Game is played for a car.

Week 34 (1,983 – 984xK): May 9-13

Week 35 (1,984 – 985xK): May 16-20

  • On Tuesday, Drew begins demonstrating Side by Side again.
  • On Wednesday, Secret "X" is played for a car.
  • On Wednesday, Drew nearly breaks one of the platforms in To the Penny when he attempts to remove one of the items to show it to the contestant and discovers a little too late that they are attached to the prop.
  • On Wednesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 2001, with pictures of early playings of That's Too Much!, Bonkers, and Pass the Buck.
  • On Thursday, an abbreviated version of Time I$ Møney's intro cue is used, with the middle six beats edited out.
  • On Thursday, Flip Flop permanently goes back to being operated by the contestant.

Week 36 (1,985 – 986xK): May 23-27

  • On Friday, Range Game is revealed with a dissolve straight from Contestants' Row to the board.

Week 37 (1,986 – 987xK): May 30-June 3

  • Beginning on Monday, when To the Penny is won, the board rotates back to the "$25,000" video display used in the game's intro.
  • On Monday, the new trip plug graphics first seen on May 6 are introduced permanently.
  • On Wednesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 2003, with pictures of early playings of On the Spot, Time Is Money, and Coming or Going.
  • On Wednesday, when contestant Christopher comes on-camera for the second Showcase Showdown, Drew mentions that his ankle is "all taped up;" he later reveals that Christopher had sprained his ankle earlier in the show doing a back spin after winning That's Too Much!.
  • On Thursday, Drew allows the Master Key contestant to take her keys by herself.
  • On Thursday, Drew resets the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself.
  • On Friday, Hi Lo is played for a car.

Week 38 (1,987 – 988xK): June 6-10

  • On Monday, Switch?'s left-hand prize label gets jarred loose during the price reveal and falls off the game. Drew gives it to the contestant as a souvenir.
  • On Monday, Cover Up's "wrong price" jumps ahead to 2010, with two pictures of an early playing of Rat Race (one of the display and one of the rats) and one of an early playing of Pay the Rent.
  • On Wednesday, Drew resets the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself.
  • On Friday, while opening for Drew's entrance, Door #2 briefly gets stuck, almost causing him to walk right into it.

Week 39 (1,988 – 989xK): June 17, 14, September* 5, June 20, July 4

  • Logically scheduled for June 13-14, 22-23, July 1
  • Originally scheduled for June 13-14, September* 5, June 20, July 4
  • Wednesday's show, in spite of its production number, is a 50th anniversary episode and was intentionally scheduled for the day after September 4, 2022 (which falls on a Sunday).
  • Friday's show, in spite of its production number, is themed around Independence Day; I have placed it on July 1, as that is the closest Friday to July 4.
  • Season finale week.
  • On Monday, Pocket ¢hange's contestants go back to taking their envelopes by themselves. Despite it no longer being necessary, the spaces remain numbered.
  • On Tuesday, Drew mishears a Clock Game contestant's bid of "four-forty" as "five-forty" and tells her to go lower when he should have said "higher" (an understandable mistake, as she had already bid $540 and higher amounts a number of times despite his correct instructions); this results in a rare instance of the clock resetting on-camera after he realizes the error.
  • Wednesday's show, as mentioned above, celebrates the show's 50th anniversary; as the last episode of the season to be broadcast, it also serves as a ceremonial season finale. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual or otherwise noteworthy:
    • The show begins with George giving a recap of the season before segueing into the normal opening.
    • The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Price Is Right!"
    • Back to '72 is played for a car -- specifically, a restored 1972 Chevy Chevelle.
    • Three Barker's Beauties are present, including Alexis, who joined the cast this season.
    • In a throwback to season premiere week, To the Penny is played for $1,000,000, with the lower prize values raised to $5,000, $10,000, $50,000, and $250,000.
    • Fireworks go off behind To the Penny during its prize reveal.
    • Range Game is played for a $68,000 trailer that can be used to "hit 50 stops across America" as a tie-in to the show's planned 50-stop cross-country road trip that took place in the spring; despite this likely still having been the intent at the time this episode was taped, the tour actually ended up doing fewer than 10 stops.
    • As George notes, the sixth Item up for Bids, a trip to Acapulco, was also offered on the first episode.
    • In a throwback to Dream Car Week, That's Too Much! is played for a $61,000 BMW.
    • The second Showcase Showdown ends with a tribute to Bob featuring a series of clips of him, including both his first entrance on the first episode and his most recent entrance on the Season 43 April Fool's Day show.
    • The first showcase features a look back at some of the show's favorite moments from Season 50, with clips of the refrigerator falling apart on Alexis, the "Season 1" show from Halloween, and contestant Kari from Dream Car Week getting lost after spinning the Big Wheel.
  • On Wednesday, the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour theme is used in Back to '72.
  • After Wednesday's show, Back to '72 is removed from the pricing game rotation for the rest of 2022.
  • On Wednesday, everyone in the audience receives a Smeg blender, a portion of the fifth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said blenders.
  • On Wednesday, Drew semi-incorrectly refers to the winner of the sixth Item up for Bids as "our final contestant of the season;" he also later mentions the "last two Showcase bids of the season" and "the last Showcase round of the whole season."
  • Thursday's show, which was broadcast on the first day of summer, is themed as a summer beach party. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:

    • The audience pods and the lights on the Turntable are turquoise.

    • The set is decorated for the special.
    • The dollar sign on the Turntable wall is covered in brown glitter.

The band plays Stars and Stripes Forever during the opening in place of "Walking" and a big band version of the theme during Drew's entrance. They also play various patriotic songs in place of the theme after pricing games and during most commercial outros, as well as reprising Stars and Stripes Forever during the credits (starting immediately after the Showcase price reveals instead of cutting off the theme after Drew's sign-off). The regular theme is only heard while going to commercial during the Showcase.
