Season 51 (2022-2023)[]
Pricing game calendar for Season 51, hosted by Scorpz.
Note: At some point believed to be early this season and no later than the taping of episode #054SP, Price begins taping both Showcase Showdowns back-to-back after the sixth game; this allows the crew to only have to set up the Big Wheel once per episode. This change does not affect the rules or the on-air presentation of the program in any way.
Week 1 (1,989 – 990xK): September 19-23
- On Monday, all instances of the "50" and "50 Years" logos are changed to a new, rounded, more cartoonish version of the Carey logo; all Carey logos added to the show in the future also use this shape. In conjunction with this, new TPIR signs are installed in the back of the audience and on the Big Doors (whose normal square pattern from before the installation of the "50" lights is also restored); the dollar signs on the former do not rotate like the ones present prior to Season 50. Unlike previous versions of the Big Door logos, the dollar sign on these props is not entirely contained within the orange area; they noticeably jut out to the right of their panel when the doors open.
- The "50" logo on George's display is an exception to this; it instead reverts to the Pricedown dollar sign from before Season 50.
- On Monday, a placard reading "51 Years" is present beneath the logos on Door #4 and the center Turntable screen.
- On Monday, the Barker logo at the beginning of the opening is changed from gold to a normal white/yellow color scheme.
- On Monday, the light border is changed back to its green color scheme from Seasons 45-49.
- On Monday, a new animation is introduced for the logo at the end of the opening. The Big Wheel flies onto the screen, similarly to the animation from before Season 50; G-T asterisks then fly onto the screen and disappear behind it, while a Pricedown dollar sign dissolves into existence in front of it. As the wheel shrinks into the background, the dollar sign flies forward and begins spinning as the new Carey logo's backgrounds fly in from the sides. Finally, the "The Price Is Right" text flies into place, and the backgrounds zoom toward them from behind, growing and fully forming the new logo. Additionally, the logo continues to simply disappear once the logo on Door #2 comes up behind it instead of going back to flying away as the doors open as was done prior to Season 50.
- On Monday, the opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we kick off Season 51 of The Price Is Right!"
- On Monday, the Barker Wall has its non-sparkly appearance last seen in Week 5 of Season 50; as this episode was taped out of order, this change does not immediately become permanent.
- On Monday, the set is decorated for the season premiere.
- On Monday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" begins to show much darker colors that are noticeably different from all the other light strips on the set; this may be the result of a change to its lighting rather than an intentional set change.
- On Monday, all six models are present; Drew introduces them in front of Door #3 before the first Item up for Bids. As a result of their presence, George doesn't model during Most Expen$ive.
- On Monday, in celebration of the new season, Grand Game is played for $51,000, with the lower prizes adjusted accordingly; the target price is also $5.10.
- On Monday, the second Item up for Bids includes a six-month supply of Home Chef meal kits as a bonus; the contestants are instructed not to include it while bidding.
- On Monday, everyone in the audience receives a $300 gift card from Home Chef, the sponsor of the bonus with second Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said gift cards.
- On Monday, Most Expen$ive is played for three rooms of furniture. The game uses its classic trip staging, with one room behind each door. The number backdrops are placed behind the furniture, and the game's sign is not used.
- On Monday, the audience pods become a much lighter shade of blue during the prize descriptions for Most Expen$ive; they remain this way for the rest of the episode. This issue also occurs on several other episodes from this taping session.
- On Monday, George's calldown window and its dollar sign revert to their colors from Season 49.
- On Monday, the walls on the Big Wheel become dark red.
- On Monday, the left side of the stock shot of the Big Wheel's walls that surrounds the arrow shot is edited to add an extra black column, thus removing the segment of the square-patterned walls that was still visible in the shot throughout Season 50.
- On Monday, Drew resets the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself.
- On Monday, the logo for the mid-show bumper begins using an abbreviated version of the animation from the end of the opening, showing only the logo itself and having the background grow into existence behind the text.
- On Monday, Cliff Hangers is played for four trips -- one for each season.
- On Monday, Bargain Game is played for two cars.
- On Tuesday, One Away is lost on the first turn.
- On Tuesday, the first show taped for Season 51, the pre-edit stock shot for the Big Wheel's arrow shot is used one last time.
- On Tuesday, the Pass the Buck contestant passes the buck by himself.
- On Tuesday and Friday, after the second Showcase Showdown, George does a contestant plug for an upcoming "superfan" episode.
- On Wednesday, while lighting up the right answer after Pick-a-Pair is lost, the staff accidentally also turns back on the price of the leftover item from the first turn and turns off the game's upper row of chase lights.
- On Wednesday, Drew resets the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself.
- On Thursday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is a much deeper blue than usual during the Showcase Showdowns.
- On Thursday, Drew goes back to actually pressing the button while explaining the second part of Time I$ Møney.
- On Thursday, Coming or Going's light bulbs are noticeably brighter than usual, almost to the point of being distracting.
- On Friday, likely as the result of an oversight, the record used in the fifth Item up for Bids still has the "50 Years" logo on it.
- On Friday, for reasons unknown, Drew's ticket plug from the end of the first Showcase Showdown is also edited into the end of the second Showcase Showdown.
Week 2 (1,990 – 991xK): September 26-30 + Friday night
- The Price Is Right at Night 16 (#053SP) airs on Friday night.
- Daytime
- On Monday, the last number in Dice Game never lights up in the top row even though the contestant rolled it.
- On Monday, after the second Showcase Showdown, George does a contestant plug for the upcoming "superfan" episode.
- On Tuesday, contestant Frederick attempts to play Double Cross by moving the yellow slider; as the game evidently registers all input as attempts to move the green slider regardless of their height, this results in a fair bit of confusion, and Drew eventually ends up running the game for him.
- On Wednesday, Pay the Rent's original shopping bags return, now emblazoned with the new version of the logo.
- On Wednesday, Drew goes back to resetting the Big Wheel for bonus spins by himself (although he will still occasionally have contestants do it for him if they are closer to the wheel than he is).
- On Wednesday, Balance Game's COVID protocols are rescinded; Drew goes back to placing the first bag and handing the contestant the Drew Dollar.
- On Thursday, the non-sparkly Barker Wall last seen on the season premiere returns permanently.
- On Thursday, the light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is a much darker blue than usual during Hot Seat.
- On Friday, Cover Up's "wrong price" is a 51st birthday cake with the new version of the logo in the center.
- On Friday, part of contestant Eduardo's shout-outs at the Big Wheel appears to have been edited out of the show; his audio abruptly cuts out partway through, and the camera suddenly cuts to his friends in the audience.
- Beginning on Friday, Side by Side is brought out during the prize description when it is played in front of the Turntable.
- On Friday, after the Showcase, Drew plugs that evening's The Price Is Right at Night.
- Primetime
- This special is themed around twins, who play as teams.
- The primetime show's logo is modified in the same fashion as the daytime show's.
- Unlike the daytime show, TPIR at Night's opening continues to use the gold Barker logo from Season 50.
- The opening ends with, "You are the first eight contestants on The Price Is Right at Night!"
- From this episode onward, the Contestants' Row displays in primetime show the starfield from the Turntable screens; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to show a dark blue background.
- From this episode onward, the G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are light blue in primetime.
- Most of the prizes and pricing games are somehow twin- or double-related.
- Three Barker's Beauties are present.
- Pick-a-Pair and That's Too Much! are both played for two cars.
- Iain Armitage and Raegan Revord, the portrayers of twins Sheldon and Missy Cooper on Young Sheldon, appear as guest models for the third Item up for Bids and the fifth game; the also help to present the second showcase, which is loosely themed around their show.
- Hot Seat has a wider chair than usual; it also has the padded armrests and the columns around the button podium seen on last season's Valentine's Day daytime show.
- That's Too Much! is temporarily renamed "That's Two Much!".
Week 3 (1,991 – 992xK): October 3-7
- Monday's opening mistakenly uses the gold Barker logo and light border from Season 50.
- On Tuesday, the audience pods become a much lighter shade of blue before Act 4; they remain this way for the rest of the episode.
- On Tuesday, the trip to Croatia offered in Balance Game is mistakenly accompanied by the trip screen graphics for Quebec; the graphics appear again in the Showcase when an actual trip to Quebec is offered.
- Beginning on Wednesday, when a Plinko chip lands in $10,000, the end of "Dig We Must" is played, and a pink "$10,000" graphic appears on-screen.
- On Wednesday, Hole in One gets a new golf bag with the new TPIR logo on it and a Pricedown dollar sign near its base.
- On Friday, the audience pods become a much lighter shade of blue before Act 3; they remain this way for the rest of the episode.
- On Friday, Drew plugs next week's Dream Car Week shows after the Showcase.
Week 4 (1,992 – 993xK): October 13, 12, 11, 10, 14
- Originally scheduled for October 10-14.
- This week is Dream Car Week. Unlike in previous seasons, when the show generally played one game per day for a car that would normally only appear in 3 Strikes or Golden Road, almost every car offered during the course of the week fits that description. The dream cars offered are as follows:
- On Monday, Golden Road itself is played for an Audi, Gas Money is played for a $53,000 Infiniti QX50, and Vend-O-Price is played for a $40,000 BMW; additionally, a Dodge Challenger and a Mazda CX-9 are offered in the Showcase.
- On Tuesday, Cover Up is played for a Lincoln, Master Key is played for an Alfa Romeo Giulia, and Dice Game is played for a Mercedes.
- On Wednesday, Temptation is played for a $43,000 Ford Explorer, and Push Over is played for another Mercedes; additionally, another Audi is offered in the Showcase. (Coincidentally, there is also a contestant named Delorean.)
- On Thursday, Lucky $even is played for a Porsche, and Pass the Buck is played for a Lexus; additionally, a Jaguar is offered in the Showcase.
- On Friday, 1/2 Off is played for a Range Rover, That's Too Much! is played for a Maserati, and Pocket ¢hange is played for a $43,000 Volkswagen Atlas; additionally, another Lincoln is offered in the Showcase.
- Additionally, the following aspects of this week are different than usual:
- The light columns around the audience cascade between red and orange.
- The G-T asterisks around the audience are all yellow and blue.
- The light strip around the audience is the same shade of blue as George's podium.
- Door #4 shows a sports car driving down a strip of highway against a red background with streaks of light zipping by and a TPIR logo in the sky; the text "Dream Car Week" appears at the base of the car.
- The end of the opening differs each day, as follows:
- On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as Dream Car Week continues on The Price Is Right!"
- Thursday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we kick off Dream Car Week on The Price Is Right!" Presumably, this line would have been swapped with Monday's had the episodes aired in order.
- Friday's opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we wrap up Dream Car Week on The Price Is Right!"
- The Barker Wall has the cascading colors from the Turntable screens on it.
- A horizontal version of the cascading lights from Door #4 appears on the Turntable screens, the Contestants' Row displays, and George's display; all of these except for the top and bottom rows on Turntable screens have the "Dream Car Week" text on them. When contestants bid, the graphics on Contestants' Row wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- The lights on the Turntable are red, and the areas between the screens are dark purple.
- Every episode is a three-car day.
- The Big Wheel's carpet is replaced by a strip of highway.
- In the Showcase Showdown, the $25,000 prize for getting a dollar in a bonus spin is replaced with a $47,000 Genesis G70 Sport Prestige; the car sits onstage alongside the Big Wheel.
- As a result of the car's staging at the Big Wheel, social distancing is not enforced during ties in this week's Showcase Showdowns.
- On Monday, the G-T asterisk between Door #2 and Door #3 is burnt out at the start of the show; it is fixed sometime during the first game. A different asterisk in the back of the audience is also burnt out during Acts 4 and 5.
- On Monday, the audience pods are a much lighter shade of blue than usual during Act 6.
- On Monday, as noted above, Vend-O-Price is played for a car.
- On Tuesday, George introduces Drew with, "And now, to get this show on the road, here's your host: Drew Carey!"
- On Tuesday, the audience pods become a much lighter shade of blue during Act 3; they remain this way for the rest of the episode. This is the final episode from the season premiere's taping session, after which the error appears to have mostly been corrected.
- On Tuesday, the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour theme is used for Master Key. It is also used for That's Too Much! on Friday.
- On Wednesday, Bullseye and (as noted above) Push Over are both played for a car.
- Thursday's show, the first episode of the week to be broadcast, has several references to the "start" of Dream Car Week.
- On Thursday, Pass the Buck's frequency chart is redone in much brighter colors. Additionally, the chart is moved upward so as to be centered on the game's base, and its yellow border becomes a dark gold.
- On Friday, as noted above, 1/2 Off is played for a car, with one of the last two boxes containing it and the other containing the standard $10,000. Oddly, the car is never described.
- On Friday, Pocket ¢hange's COVID protocols are rescinded, and the envelope numbers are removed from the board, with the spaces they occupied becoming red again.
Week 5 (1,993 – 994xK): October 17-21
- Monday's show is a celebration of Drew's 15th anniversary on the show, which occurred over the weekend on Saturday. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- The TPIR logo on Door #4 and the center Turntable screen is altered to say "15 Years" in Pricedown. The dollar sign also wears Drew's glasses and has his microphone in front of it.
- George introduces Drew with, "And now, celebrating his 15th anniversary on The Price Is Right, here's your host: Drew Carey!"
- All six models are present.
- Most of the prizes are somehow related to Drew, at least tangentially.
- Rat Race, which Drew created, is given a special intro: George announces it as "the greatest game ever created" as the Race Game Curtain rises, then the car is shown, and then the standard prizes descriptions begin, with the car music playing throughout (opening with a slower version as George begins talking and switching to a more upbeat mix when the car appears).
- Every time the Big Wheel lands on 15, regardless of how it affects the score, the contestant wins $15,000. This supplants the usual $10,000 award for getting 15 in a bonus spin. It is unclear whether this would affect spinning order during a spin-off, as the situation did not arise.
- Stefan Frei and Will Bruin of the Seattle Sounders (of which Drew is part owner) appear via trip screen with several other team members to help present the prize for Double Prices, a trip to Seattle with a VIP experience at a Sounders game.
- Both showcases are themed around Drew; the second features remote appearances by his friends Joe Walsh, Ryan Stiles, and Pauley Perrette.
- A cake of the Big Wheel on 15 is brought out after the Showcase.
- Coincidentally, one of Monday's contestants, Haroun-Raschid, was also a contestant on episode #4091K, the second show Drew ever recorded from Season 36's first day of taping.
- On Wednesday, three Barker's Beauties are present.
- On Wednesday, Drew lets the contestant operate Coming or Going.
- On Wednesday, Coming or Going's alternate price reveal is used despite the reveal occurring onstage.
- On Thursday, Marg Helgenberger, Matt Lauria, and Mandeep Dhillon from CSI: Vegas appear to help present the third Item up for Bids, a trip to Las Vegas. They also model the prizes for Most Expen$ive (with George not taking part) and help to present the second showcase, which is themed around their show.
- On Thursday, Now....or Then gets a new set of much brighter light bulbs -- likely the ones that were used in Coming or Going on September 22.
Week 6 (1,994 – 995xK): October 24-28
- On Wednesday, the lights on the audience pods are mistakenly switched to their cascading sequence from the opening for the beginning of Act 5. This error is corrected during the plug for the Item up for Bids.
- On Wednesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" is a scene of aliens at Area 51 celebrating Season 51 by playing Plinko and spinning the Big Wheel.
- On Friday, Race Game's jukebox initially fails to light up the third time the contestant pulls the handle; this occurs with only three seconds left, and no one appears to have thought the remaining time would have made a difference.
- On Friday, Grocery Game is played for a car.
Week 7 (1,995 – 996xK): October 31-November 4
- Monday's show is a pirate-themed Halloween episode, with Drew dressed as a pirate captain, George as a parrot, James as a captive, Alexis as a mermaid, and Manuela as a wench. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- George announces the entire show in-character as a parrot.
- Door #4 shows a ghostly, transparent logo against a scene of a pirate ship sailing across a stormy sea. The ship's Jolly Rogers have Pricedown dollar signs instead of skulls. The ghostly version of the logo also appears at the end of the opening, accompanied by equally ghostly G-T asterisks, and it appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- The light strip around the audience is purple, as are the light columns.
- The G-T asterisks in the audience are a ghostly light blue.
- The audience pods, the lights between the Turntable screens, and the borders of Contestants' Row are a static brownish orange. (The Turntable lights do start flashing after the Showcase.)
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four buccaneers to pillage a bounty of prizes on The Price Is Right Halloween show! Bawk! Say the line! Say the line! He's the captain of this ship: It's Drew Carey! Carey! Carey! Good boy! Good boy!"
- The Contestants' Row displays show a waving Jolly Roger against the wooden walls of a pirate ship. When the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the same brownish orange color as the displays' borders.
- For the opening only, the theme is replaced by a dramatic pirate-themed song. Pirate-themed music is also used for all six Items up for Bids.
- Drew comes through Door #2 on the Tugboat, which is decorated as a pirate ship.
- Drew's entrance is backed by tropical props and prize backdrops instead of the Barker Wall.
- The hook on Drew's right hand is actually his microphone; as such, no one is there to hand it to him during his entrance.
- The set is decorated as a pirate ship, with rotted wood paneling covering the spinning Turntable wall panels and George's podium and installed on the Turntable's floor (except for the game side of the spinning panel, which remains white).
- The lights on the Turntable are a ghostly blue-green.
- The Turntable screens show the sea background from Door #4. Unusually, no logo of any sort is present on the center screen for this episode.
- George's display shows the Jolly Roger from Contestants' Row against the sea background from Door #4.
- Do the Math's school paraphernalia is replaced with pirate props.
- George's calldown window is green, and its dollar sign is a ghostly light blue.
- Punch a Bunch's $25,000 bill is replaced by golden text reading "$25,000" sitting in a treasure chest.
- The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is a ghostly light blue.
- Balance Game's Drew Dollars are temporarily renamed "Drew Doubloons."
- Special Showcase podiums are used that look like a boat's steering column. Their displays have a map as their background, use a theme-appropriate font, and show the ghostly version of the TPIR logo.
- On Monday, three Barker's Beauties are present.
- On Monday, no grocery product games were played.
- On Monday, Push Over is played for a car.
- On Monday, George models the car in Push Over.
- On Monday, 4-digit Lucky $even is played for a boat, which is brought out by the Tugboat.
- On Monday, Balance Game's scale only tips three times during the price reveal instead of the usual five.
- On Wednesday, one of the squares on Door #1 briefly flashes blue for no apparent reason during the third spin of the second Showcase Showdown.
- On Thursday, during Master Key, the Turntable walls use the purple and yellow color scheme normally used for Coming or Going.
- On Thursday, Drew allows contestant Lucina to quit To the Penny with $3,000 without showing her the prices for the third item.
- On Friday, a red rim is added to Freeze Frame's wheel.
- On Friday, Most Expen$ive is played for three trips.
- On Friday, Squeeze Play is played for a car.
Week 8 (1,996 – 997xK): November 7-11
- On Tuesday, Balance Game is played for a car.
- During Wednesday's Check Game, the lights on the Turntable wall use the purple and gray color scheme normally used for Clock Game.
- Friday's show is themed around Veterans Day; everyone in the audience is a veteran or a veteran's relative. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- Door #4 shows the Barker logo on a shield above the word "Veterans," against a field of stripes and a background of cascading stars; while these are mostly the same graphics as those used on Season 50's Veterans Day show, the reflection on the shield is changed from a waving flag's stars to a waving flag's stripes. These graphics also appear on the Turntable walls (with the top and bottom rows only showing the background) and George's display.
- Most of the lights on the set are red, white, and blue.
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we salute veterans on The Price Is Right!"
- The Contestants' Row displays show rotating stars on a field of blue; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are white.
- Drew's entrance is backed by a set of prize backdrops showing the American flag instead of the Barker Wall.
- The set is decorated for the holiday.
- The G-T asterisks in front of Contestants' Row are replaced with red, white, and blue stars.
- At the top of Act 3, Drew and George acknowledge military dogs and the veterans who adopt them, welcoming Army vet Meredith Johnson and her retired dog, Aslan; this doubles as a military-focused pet adoption segment, with George directing viewers to MissionCanineRescue.org for information on dog veterans.
- The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is blue.
- The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are dark blue.
- On Friday, Gridlock! is played for a Lincoln.
- On Friday, George is not shown calling down any contestants.
- On Friday, everyone in the audience receives a grill, a portion of the sixth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said grills.
Week 9 (1,997 – 998xK): November 14-18
- On Tuesday, Jerry O'Connell appears to promote his show, The Real Love Boat; he models the third Item up for Bids and helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around his show.
- On Thursday, the price tags for the third and fifth Items up for Bids are used in the wrong acts.
Week 10 (1,998 – 999xK): November 21-23
- Thanksgiving week; only three shows.
- On Monday and Tuesday, for reasons unknown, only one Barker's Beauty, Rachel, is present.
- As a result of this, on Tuesday, George models during Shopping Spree.
- Wednesday's show is themed around Thanksgiving, and more specifically, Friendsgiving, with trios of friends playing together. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- The G-T asterisks around the audience, most of the lights on the Turntable, and George's podium are traditional fall colors.
- The audience pods are orange.
- Door #4 shows the logo attached to the top of a chalkboard that has "Friendsgiving" written on its bottom, all against a white-brick wall with falling leaves; in an odd aesthetic choice, the leave appear to fall between the chalkboard and the wall. The wall and leaves also appear on the Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens, and George's display, with the center Turntable screen and George's display also showing the logo and chalkboard. When contestants' bid, the graphics on the Contestants' Row displays wipe away to reveal the orange color that was used on the third display from 1975-2003.
- Presumably to save time, George does not call the contestants' last names.
- The opening ends with, "You are the first 12 contestants as we celebrate Thanksgiving on The Price Is Right!"
- The borders of Contestants' Row are a much deeper shade of green than usual.
- The set is decorated for the holiday.
- Most of the prizes offered are in groups of three, and all of the trips are for three or six people.
- The logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- George's calldown window is brown, and its dollar sign is gold.
- Cat Cora of Iron Chef America appears to model the third Item up for Bids; she also helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around Thanksgiving dinner.
- The usual lineup structure is inverted, with one cash game appearing in each half and only one car game (appropriately, Triple Play) being played.
- The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is brown.

- On Monday, Rachel wishes Bob a happy birthday during the first Item up for Bids.
- On Tuesday, the error with the audience pods' lighting seen on several episodes taped around the time of the season premiere pops up again; they become a much lighter shade of blue than usual during the first game and remain that way through the rest of the episode.
- On Thursday, contestant Kathleen wins Dice Game without having to make any decisions, rolling the second and third numbers, a 1, and a 6.
- On Friday, Secret "X" is played for a car.
- After Friday's show, Manuela goes on maternity leave.
Week 13 (2,001 – 003xL): December 19-23

- The set is decorated for Christmas.
- Most of the lights on the set are either light gold or various shades of blue.
- The logo's yellow text is gold, and its background is an icy blue. This logo also appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- Door #4 shows the snow-blanketed blue logo against a blue background with falling snowflakes. This background also appears on the Contestants' Row displays, the Turntable screens, and George's display; George's display and the center Turntable screen also have the snow-blanketed logo. When the contestants bid, the graphics on the Contestants' Row displays wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- The end of the opening differs each day, as follows:
- Monday's opening ends with, "You are the first four couples as we celebrate holiday week on The Price Is Right!"
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's openings end with, "You are the first four contestants as holiday week continues on The Price Is Right!"

- The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are light blue.
- The G-T asterisks that fly in with the logo at the end of the opening are white, gold, and blue.
- The G-T asterisks in front of Contestants' Row are replaced with snowflakes.
- The Barker Wall is blue and adorned with snowflakes, and its dollar sign is covered with gold glitter.
- The dollar sign on the Turntable wall is covered with gold glitter.
- George's calldown window is silver, and its dollar sign is an icy blue.
- The Big Wheel's split-screen separator is an icy blue.
- The Showcase podiums use the blue logo.
- The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are covered with gold glitter, as are the parts of the podiums immediately behind them.
- Additionally, each show this week has a theme, as follows:
- Monday's show, as noted above, features couples playing as teams.
- As a result of this, Monday's Hot Seat uses its larger chair with the padded armrests and extended podium.
- On Tuesday, everyone in the studio except Drew wears an "ugly Christmas sweater."
- This extends to the mountain climber and his corresponding graphic, who wear a Christmas sweater and a Santa hat during Cliff Hangers.
- Wednesday's show features "stocking stuffers;" everyone in the audience receives either a portion of or a gift card related to each of the six Items up for Bids. The stocking theme also extends to a number of other aspects of the episode:
- The presentation of each Item up for Bids somehow involves a stocking; notably, this includes replacing the Pricedown dollar signs on the Clam, the Dollar Sign, and the Reveal with stockings.
- Cover Up's "wrong price" is five stockings hanging from a fireplace; the stockings appear to have distinct names on them, but the camera never gets close enough to the board to make them out.
- The fourth game begins with George pulling tickets to Mexico and Montreal out of a stocking; the shot then transitions to Door #2 opening on Do the Math, whose prize descriptions proceed as normal.
- On Thursday, Drew is dressed as Santa Claus, George is dressed as an elf, and Amber and James are dressed as Santa's helpers. Most members of the audience also have on some kind of Santa costume.
- In keeping with his costume, George announces portions of this episode in a high-pitched voice.
- On this episode, George introduces Drew with, "Here's your host: The man, the myth, the legend -- Santa Drew Carey!"
- Friday's show, as noted above, features families playing as teams.
- George calls each family down all at once ("The [NAME] family, come on down!") instead of listing all of their first names.
- Monday's show, as noted above, features couples playing as teams.
- On Monday and Tuesday, George introduces Drew as "Your ho-ho-host, Drew Carey!"
- On Monday, Bargain Game is laced with garland.
- On Monday, the fourth Big Wheel carpet is introduced. This carpet has rounded edges and is designed to look like a Big Door; it also has much larger G-T asterisks that are laid out symmetrically.
- On Monday, a small portion of the first part of Hot Seat appears to have been edited out, as the timer decreases from 34 to 29 in only three seconds.
- On Wednesday, Range Game's establishing shot is again done away with; the game goes back to not being seen until after the prize description.
- Wednesday's second and fifth Items up for Bids include $500 gift cards for Goose Creek and CanvasPop.com, respectively; these are announced as bonuses and are not included in the actual retail prices.
- On Wednesday, Pay the Rent's house is decorated for Christmas and has experienced snowfall.
- On Wednesday, Do the Math's school paraphernalia is replaced with ornaments and Christmas presents.
- On Thursday, Bonus Game is played for a car.
- On Thursday, the bags in Balance Game are red with white trim.
- On Friday, Golden Road's rainbow backdrops are not used.
- On Friday, 1/2 Off's boxes have ribbons on them.
- On Friday, everyone in the audience receives a Kodak projector, a portion of the sixth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said projectors.
- Prior to this week's shows being aired, CBS's press website had several photos of a girl from Friday's audience playing Rat Race by herself, something that did not occur on the actual show. While we're not certain how this came about, our best guess is that it was something along the lines of a Make-a-Wish experience; it was almost certainly never intended to be broadcast.

- The sixth Item up for Bids is a treadmill and a TV playing the clip of George falling off a treadmill during Most Expen$ive.

- The presentation of the first showcase includes an "I won this car on The Price Is Right" license plate holder; this is the first time this prop has actually appeared on the air since the very first tapings with social distancing in Season 49.

- On Thursday, Push Over's lights are left in "attract" mode throughout the game.
- Primetime

- The audience pods, the light strip around the audience, and George's podium are gold.

- This week is College Week; everyone in the audience for all three shows is a college student. Additionally, the following aspects of these episodes are different than usual:
- Door #4 shows the seal of The Price Is Right University, whose various clubs were once featured in a recurring showcase. Its exterior shows the college's name and "Est. MCMLXXII" (the Roman numeral version of 1972), while its interior shows ivy branches, a large Pricedown dollar sign, three G-T asterisks, and the outline of a price tag. The seal is on a brick wall covered in ivy, and it is flanked by a pair of Price U pennants (which, oddly, use a knock-off version of Pricedown instead of the actual font).
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four college students on The Price Is Right!"

- Each episode this week also has a more specific theme, as follows:
- Monday is themed around paying tuition, and every game is played for cash; notably, Vend-O-Price is played for $10,000, Secret "X" is played for $25,000, and Bonus Game is played for $15,000.
- Tuesday is themed around spring break; all six acts offer a trip, as all or part of the prize packages for the first five games and as the sixth Item up for Bids.

- On Tuesday, the staging for Hi Lo seems to be set up for its classic reveal, with Drew and the contestant standing in front of the Turntable after the Item up for Bids and the prize being behind Door #2; despite this, the game is never shown being brought in on-camera. With the extra Price University props onstage and the Item up for Bids still taking up Door #3, this may have simply been deemed the least clumsy staging possible.
- On Tuesday, everyone in the audience receives a beach chair and beach towel, a portion of the fifth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said beach sets.

- On Monday, the fold-out dollar sign is not folded out for 5-digit Pick-a-Number.
- On Friday, in celebration of Sunday's 50th anniversary of The Young and the Restless, Melody Thomas Scott and Peter Bergman, the portrayers of Nikki Newman and Jack Abbott, appear to model the third Item up for Bids; they also help to present the second showcase, which is themed around their show.
- On Friday, Amber accidentally ends Line em Up prematurely, mistaking Drew's "Ya got good news for him?" after the first turn as a cue to reveal the price even though the contestant's guess was wrong. While the staff had no choice but to declare a win at this point, they nonetheless edited the blooper out of the show, reshooting Drew's prompt and having the contestant go through the formality of taking his second turn. Despite not outright acknowledging the mistake on-air, the show otherwise made no attempt to conceal it, with Drew spending most of the second half of the game noticeably laughing at it and Amber posting an Instagram video about it after the taping.

- Originally scheduled for April 3-7.

- On Thursday, thanks to an editing mistake, the camera briefly cuts away from Drew's explanation of More or Less to a shot of the car that would be offered 20 minutes later in Stack the Deck.
- On Thursday, the two-tag price reveal is used for Check Game despite the prize being in Door #3.
- On Thursday, a fourth One Wrøng Price backdrop is introduced with the same color scheme as the ones on the left and right. From this point forward, it is sometimes used for the middle prize instead of the one with the reversed color scheme.
- On Friday, in celebration of next week's 9,000th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Tanner Novlan and Annika Noelle, the portrayers of John "Finn" Finnegan and Hope Logan, appear to model the third Item up for Bids; they also help to present the second showcase, which is themed around their show.

- On Monday, Gridlock! does not begin with a close-up of the game's logo.
- On Tuesday, contestant Anne's shirt claims that she was on the show "42 years ago;" it was actually at least 46 years ago, as the picture on her shirt shows her with Dennis.

- On Thursday, Bonus Game is played for a car.
- On Friday, Swap Meet's lights are left in "attract" mode throughout the game.
Week 31 (2,019 – 021xL): April 24-25, 27, 26, 28
- Originally scheduled for April 24-28.
- This week is Pet Adoption Week. Each day, one or more guests or, on Wednesday, cast members, appear at the top of Act 3 to do a pet adoption segment; on days with guests, they also help to present the second showcase. During these segments, the center row of Turntable screens shows a graphic of a puppy in a doghouse on a sunlit field, with the words "Pet Adoption Week" next to it; the other two rows show only the background. The celebrity guests are as follows:
- Monday's guests are Christian LeBlanc and Tracey E. Bregman, the portrayers of Michael Baldwin and Lauren Fenmore on The Young and the Restless.
- Tuesday's guests are Eric and Rashi Wiese, the hosts of Lucky Dog.
- Thursday's guest is Scott Clifton, the portrayer of Liam Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful.
- Friday's guests are Natalie Morales and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila from The Talk.
- On Monday, the back side of the flap covering the price in Push Over is white instead of black.
- On Tuesday, in an unusual move, Temptation's first gift is already onstage after the car description ends.
- On Wednesday, when the third Item up for Bids comes around on the Turntable, all of the light bulbs on the interior wall are turned on instead of flashing in sequence.
Week 32 (2,020 – 022xL): May 1-5
- On Monday, the window lights on Rat Race's small prize podium are turned off.
- On Tuesday, the price of the fifth Item up for Bids is written on a card intended for the third Item up for Bids.
- On Wednesday, Hot Seat is not shown on-camera as the contestant comes onstage; instead, Drew introduces the game as they walk in front of the Turntable, and the game's establishing shot is shown as he begins explaining it.
- On Wednesday, one of Hot Seat's buttons does not register the contestant's guess for the second item, costing him several seconds while Drew tells him to press the button again; fortunately, this ends up not mattering, as he gets all the items affected by the error and Drew's subsequent rushing correct.
- On Thursday, the camera cuts instead of dissolves to the close-up of the Golden Road sign after the first Item up for Bids.
- On Thursday, Golden Road's rainbow backdrops are not used.
- On Thursday, the bell does not sound during Vend-O-Price when the shelf quantities are revealed.
- On Friday, contestant Jacqueline wins Dice Game without having to make any decisions, rolling all 1s and 6s.
Week 33 (2,021 – 023xL): May 8-12
- On Monday, Range Game is played for a car.
- On Thursday, the lighting for the audience pods appears to have malfunctioned; all of their blues are darker shades than usual, with the darkest shades that are used during opening looking like they are shut off entirely.
- To celebrate Mother's Day, which falls on Sunday, Friday's show is themed as a baby shower; all of the contestants are first-time expectant mothers. Additionally, the following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- The audience pods are light gold with light green centers.
- The light columns around the audience are light orange and light green.
- The light strip around the audience is a pastel orange.
- The G-T asterisks around the audience are pastel shades of red, orange, yellow, and blue.
- Door #4 shows the logo, with pink and light blue backgrounds instead of the usual red and orange, with the words "Baby Shower" at its base; "Baby" is spelled out with building blocks, while "Shower" is written in script. The logo's text is also much more three-dimensional than usual, with noticeable orange coloring on the sides of the dollar sign and "Price." Behind this logo is an animated scene of clouds, pastel balloons, and a rainbow made of different-colored tube balloons that flow into and out of the picture. A smaller version of this background with only the clouds and the rainbow appears on the Contestants' Row displays; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four moms-to-be as we celebrate Mother's Day on The Price Is Right!"
- The logo animation at the end of the opening is completely different than usual and is based on the Door #4 graphics. It begins with the rainbow flying onto the screen, one balloon at a time; this is quickly followed by the cloud bank. As the recolored logo begins to form, devoid of its usual G-T asterisk and Big Wheel graphics, the cloud bank falls away, and the rainbow flows off the bottom of the screen. As the text flies into place, with noticeable gray marbling on "The," "Is," and "Right" as they arrive onscreen, the balloons fly up behind the logo, coming in from the bottom of the screen and disappearing off the top.
- The borders of Contestants' Row are a pastel green.
- The set is decorated for the special. Whether intentionally or not, the rainbows with building blocks on them that spell "Oh Baby" are noticeably similar to the Golden Road sign.
- The light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is an orangish red.
- The Turntable stairs and walls and George's podium are lit in alternating light orange and light green.
- The light strip on the Turntable's spinning panel is light blue.
- The Turntable screens show the cloud graphics from Door #4, with different portions of the rest of the background on each screen: The center screen shows the TPIR logo, the rainbow, and the balloons; the other screens in the middle row show the "Baby Shower" text and the balloons; and the top and bottom rows show only the rainbow. The "Baby Shower" version of this graphic also appears on George's display.
- The pastel version of the logo appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- The first car in Gridlock! has a "Baby on Board" sticker on the passenger window.
- The Showcase podiums use the pastel version of the logo.
- On Friday, everyone in the audience receives a MamaRoo baby swing, a portion of the third Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said swings.
Week 34 (2,022 – 024xL): May 15-19
- On Monday, Card Game adds $25,000 to the pool of possible starting bids.
- On Tuesday, when George is shown calling down the sixth contestant, his display shows a simulcast of Door #4; it appears to have been switched to the wrong graphics after being used for the second Item up for Bids.
- Wednesday's show includes a rare daytime acknowledgement of Dennis; Drew notes that neither he nor Bill Cullen is on contestant Jean Pierre's shirt, which has pictures of himself and Bob.
- On Thursday, when the fourth Item up for Bids comes around on the Turntable, all of the light bulbs on the interior wall are turned on instead of flashing in sequence.
- In Thursday's Plinko, the wrong slot lights up when the contestant's second chip lands, and the corresponding wrong amount is added to their winnings. Drew is able to correct them before the game proceeds any further.
Week 35 (2,023 – 025xL): May 22-26
- Tuesday's show is loosely themed around Drew's 65th birthday. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- George introduces Drew with, "And now, here's your host -- and it's his birthday today -- Drew Carey!"
- James plays Happy Birthday to You on the first Item up for Bids, a guitar.
- The second showcase is focused on Drew and offers prizes he would love.
- A birthday cake is brought onstage for the credits.
- On Tuesday, Door #4's animation noticeably skips ahead behind Drew at the beginning of Act 5.
- For a brief period beginning on Friday, the cards for the price of the sixth Item up for Bids are also used for the second Item up for Bids.
Week 36 (2,024 – 026xL): May 29-June 2
- On Tuesday, the lights around the edges of the Grand Game board are frozen partway through their "chase" pattern throughout the game.
- On Tuesday, Balance Game is played for a car.
- On Wednesday, the card normally used for the price of the third Item up for Bids is used for the fifth and vice versa. The envelopes remain in the correct acts.
- On Wednesday, the Big Wheel scoreboard malfunctions during the first Showcase Showdown, refusing to display the top bar of the "5" when a contestant scores 65¢; surprisingly, when the next contestant scores a dollar, it works normally.
- On Wednesday, the G-T asterisk between Door #1 and Door #2 burns out during the fourth game; it is fixed during the commercial.
- On Wednesday, one of the groceries in Hi Lo is a bag of Hilo brand tortilla chips.
- On Friday, the second Item up for Bids goes back to using its own cards for the actual retail price.
- On Friday, Double Prices is played at Door #3.
Week 37 (2,025 – 027xL): June 5-9
- Tuesday's show is a celebration of Rachel's 20th anniversary on The Price Is Right. Several special things are done on this episode:
- The second Item up for Bids, a television, shows clips from over the years of Rachel modeling prizes with her daughter, Ruby.
- Before the second game, George shows a clip of the first prize Rachel ever modeled -- a bed offered as the first Item up for Bids on episode #2575K. This segues into her modeling a bedroom group for the current episode.
- Rachel's husband, David Dellucci, and their daughter, Ruby, help her to model the prizes for Safe Crackers, including a trip to New Orleans in her home state of Louisiana.
- After Rachel drives the car out for Lucky $even, Drew shows the clip of her wrecking the game's car into Door #3 on episode #2895K.
- Rachel's husband drives the Tugboat for the fifth Item up for Bids, which is modeled by her and Ruby.
- The items in Grocery Game all involve terms that relate to Rachel, her family, or her anniversary.'
- Rachel helps to present the second showcase, which is themed around her.
- Before the Showcase price reveals, Manuela presents Rachel with a plaque in the shape of a Turntable screen; the plaque has the Barker logo on the right, a picture of Rachel's first mic hand-off to Bob with the caption "20 Years" in Pricedown on the left, and a gold replica of Bob's original microphone down the center.
- A cake in the shape of Door #2 with a "20 Years" sign above it is brought out during the credits.
- On Wednesday, three Cirque du Soleil members perform during the third Item up for Bids, which includes a VIP package to their Corteo show. The performers also model the fifth Item up for Bids, a trampoline; take part in the second showcase, which is themed around Corteo; and perform behind Door #2 with no prizes in their way during the credits.
- On Wednesday, in conjunction with the third Item up for Bids, everyone in the audience receives a ticket to see Cirque du Soleil's Corteo in either Palm Springs or Los Angeles.
- On Wednesday, in keeping with Act 3's circus theme, Cover Up's "wrong price" is artwork of things found at the circus.
Week 38 (2,026 – 028xL): June 12-16
- On Tuesday, during Act 3, George's calldown window stops shrinking at a much larger size than usual.
- In Tuesday's Check Game, contestant Heather writes the check for $4,366.22. Drew lets her keep the actual check that way but rounds it down to $4,366 for the purposes of the game.
- On Tuesday, Cover Up's "wrong price" is a series of images of an analog TV turning on, displaying snow, showing a test pattern, changing the channel to the opening of a TPIR episode from the early '80s, and showing a clear picture of that episode's opening logo.
- On Thursday, contestant Henry dislocates his shoulder while celebrating after winning Bonkers; his wife, Alice, comes onstage with him during the first Showcase Showdown and spins the Big Wheel for him. Henry is also absent from the audience for the rest of the show after his game ends; presumably, he was backstage being treated by EMTs.
- On Friday, three Barker's Beauties are present.
Week 39 (2,027 – 029xL): June 26, December 7, June 21, night of July 3
- Logically scheduled for June 19-21, July 6
- Originally scheduled for June 19-21, July 4
- Originally rescheduled for June 19, December 7, June 21, July 4.
- Originally rerescheduled for June 26, December 7, June 21, July 4.
- Thursday's show, which is themed around Independence Day, was originally intended to air on July 4; it was ultimately aired in primetime the night before, with the Season 50 Independence Day show rerun in its place in daytime.
- Season finale week; only four shows.
- Monday's show is the last episode of the season to be taped and, as such, the final episode of The Price Is Right to be produced in Television City. The program, which was rescheduled to be the last one to air in the regular broadcast season, serves as both the ceremonial season finale and a farewell to Studio 33. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual or are otherwise special:
- The show opens with a Drew bobblehead standing with a stack of taped-up boxes and a "We're Moving" sign. As a remix of the theme plays, the Barker logo from the top of the show flies by, transitioning to a series of shots of Television City, including the Barker's Beauties leaving the premises, George walking through the packed-up pricing game storage area, and a close-up of the Bob Barker Studio plaque from the ceremonial 5,000th episode; as this plays, George announces, "After 51 years at Television City in Hollywood, we're moving to a new studio! So join us as we say goodbye to Stage 33 and get ready to begin a whole new chapter of The Price Is Right!" As the voiceover ends, Drew is shown walking past 1 Right Price (already set up for Act 2) to get into position for his entrance; a Pricedown dollar sign then flies in and transitions to the normal opening.
- The opening spiel is extended to, "Here it comes! One more time! From the famous Bob Barker Studio in Hollywood, it's The Price Is Right!"
- All six models are present.
- In honor of Studio 33, Grand Game is played for $33,000, with the lower prize values increased accordingly.
- All of the items in Grand Game are references to the show's legacy: Bob's Sweet Stripes, Johnny's Fine Foods teriyaki sauce, a bag of pretzel Rods, Hollywood brand safflower oil, L'Oreal Studio Line hair gel, and a bag of cat food with Drew's "I love you!" sign-off in its graphics.
- 1 Right Price takes advantage of the extra Barker's Beauties by using its classic model setup, with Manuela and Amber modeling the prizes and Rachel bringing out the one right price.
- The first two numbers in Money Game's price are 33.
- The first closed-captioning plug shows Devin driving the Train, adorned with the "We're Moving" sign, past the Big Wheel, pulling James and the boxes and bobblehead from the episode's opening shot.
- The second half's game lineup is the lineup from episode #0011D in reverse.
- George tells the ninth contestant, "You're the final contestant to be called down on Stage 33 for The Price Is Right!"
- The classic Truck/Van Cue is used for the car in Any Number.
- The second closed-captioning plug starts with an aerial shot of the back of the Big Wheel; the camera then moves over its top to reveal the show's entire cast and crew gathered on the stage.
- The first showcase utilizes the Train, set up the same as in the first closed-captioning plug.
- The second showcase features George and the models looking back at their favorite memories of Studio 33 and includes clips of due to their pregnancies, Rachel wrecking a car in Lucky $even, Amber breaking a light bulb on Door #2 during Double Prices, and Manuela accidentally revealing the price of the car in 5 Price Tags before the game was over.
- The Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour theme is used for the car in the second showcase.
- The final shot of the episode is taken from backstage, showing the cast with the Showcase winner in Door #3, then panning past the crew to stop at a "STUDIO 33" sign on the wall as the logo at the end of the credits fades out.
- On Tuesday's show, which was taped and aired drastically out of order, Drew does not hand utilize the hundred-dollar pocket for perfect bids in Contestants' Row, as was the case from Season 49 through Week 20 of this season.
- On Tuesday's show, which was taped and aired drastically out of order, the contestants line up off-camera during the Showcase Showdowns, as was done from Season 49 through Week 16 of this season; this was likely the last episode taped with this staging, as the show on which it changed was taped the same day.
- Tuesday's show features one final appearance of the square-patterned Big Wheel carpet; based on its tapedate after a month's worth of shows with the doorframe-patterned carpet had already been produced, it appears that the old carpet was used on purpose for this single episode because the staff knew it would be broadcast out of order.
- Tuesday's show, which was taped drastically out of order, uses the edited Big Wheel arrow shot without the visible square-patterned wall that was seen for most of the first half of the season.
- Wednesday's show, which airs on the first day of summer, is themed as a summer beach party. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- Door #4 shows the logo, whose right-hand background is light blue instead of red, with text reading "Summer Beach Party" at its base, all against a background of a beach flanked by palm trees and overlooking the ocean. This alternate color scheme for the logo is also used at the end of the opening; it also appears during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- The light columns around the audience are orange and light blue.
- The G-T asterisks around the audience are all yellow.
- The light strip around the audience is light red.
- The audience pods are light blue with orange centers.
- The raised stage in the back of the audience is covered with sand; a pricedown dollar sign sand sculpture rises from its center.
- The set is decorated for the special.
- The G-T asterisks in the logo animation at the end of the opening are all yellow, light blue, and orange.
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we throw a summer beach party on The Price Is Right!"
- The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are orange.
- The Contestants' Row displays show a version of Door #4's background with a setting sun on the horizon; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- Drew's entrance is backed by a set of beach- and ocean-themed prize backdrops instead of the Barker Wall.
- The cast is dressed in beach attire.
- The light strip on the Turntable's "doorframe" is dark blue. All of the other lights on the Turntable are orange or light blue.
- The dollar sign on the Turntable wall is covered with gold glitter.
- The center Turntable screen and George's display show the background from Door #4 with the day's version of the logo. The other Turntable screens show the graphics from Contestants' Row.
- The lights on George's podium are light blue.
- The "wrong price" in Cover Up is a panoramic shot of Door #4's background extending across all five columns.
- The rats in Rat Race are wearing sunglasses.
- A completely original set of Showcase podiums is used. These podiums have a rectangular base designed to look like blue fencing with artwork of a sun, palm trees, and a flamingo. Their displays, surrounded with orange fencing, show the day's logo against a blue sky on the top and the "SHOWCASE" text against the ocean on the bottom; both sets of graphics are flanked by a continuous image of palm trees.
- On Wednesday, the window lights on Rat Race's main prop are turned off.
- On Wednesday, some part of the studio's equipment appears to have malfunctioned during the second showcase, causing the video that plays while George describes the trip to the Seychelles to be extremely choppy.
- Thursday's show, as mentioned above, is themed around Independence Day. The following aspects of this episode are different than usual:
- Everyone in the audience is a member of the military on active duty.
- The Air Force Band of the Golden West is stationed on and around the raised stage in the back of the audience, which has a blue enclosure around it accented with white stripes and red stars. The band plays Stars and Stripes Forever during the opening in place of "Walking" and a marching band version of the theme during Drew's entrance. They also play various patriotic songs in place of the theme after pricing games and during most commercial outros, as well as reprising Stars and Stripes Forever during the credits (starting immediately after the Showcase price reveals instead of cutting off the theme after Drew's sign-off). The regular theme is only heard while going to commercial during the Showcase.
- The light strip around the audience and the light bars above the Big Doors are dark blue.
- The light columns around the audience are all red.
- The G-T asterisks around the audience are all white and blue.
- Door #4 shows the logo, with the text "4th of July" at its base, against a waving American flag and exploding red and blue fireworks. The left-hand background of the logo is also blue instead of orange. This version of the logo also appears at the end of the opening, as well as during every commercial outro in addition to the usual spots.
- The audience pods are blue with white centers.
- The edge of the light border is red, and its "light strip" has chasing red, white, blue, and white "lights."
- The opening ends with, "You are the first four contestants as we celebrate our Independence Day on The Price Is Right!"
- The G-T asterisks in the logo animation at the end of the opening are all red, white, and blue.
- The borders of the Contestants' Row displays are red.
- The Contestants' Row displays show the background from Door #4; when the contestants bid, these graphics wipe away to reveal the normal colors.
- Drew's entrance is backed by panels with an American flag on them instead of the Barker Wall.
- The set is decorated for the holiday.
- The light strips around the Big Doors are red, white, and blue from left to right.
- The G-T asterisks between the Big Doors are white.
- The Turntable lights are red, white, and blue, and its screens collectively show one large image of the American flag from Door #4; the altered logo from Door #4 appears on the center screen, as well.
- George's podium is lit up red, white, and blue from left to right on the top and from right to left on the bottom.
- George's display shows the background and logo from Door #4.
- In Cliff Hangers, the mountain climber and his corresponding graphics are dressed as Uncle Sam.
- The G-T asterisks on the Showcase podiums are dark blue.
- The Showcase podiums use the recolored logo from Door #4.
- On Thursday, Cliff Hangers is played for a car.
- On Thursday, when the final price reveal for Pick-a-Pair occurs, the lights on the sign and the upper strips of light bulbs are mistakenly shut off.
- On Thursday, everyone in the audience receives a backpack cooler, a portion of the sixth Item up for Bids; this also serves as a PriceIsRight.com plug, as George urges viewers to visit the website for a chance to win one of said coolers.
- On Thursday, two small prize games and a grocery item game are played.
- Thursday's show, as implied above, is the last program in the proper episode sequence to be produced in Studio 33. Over the summer, The Price Is Right moves to Haven Studios near Glendale, which will be its home while Television City is being renovated.
Week 39.5: Night of Thursday, August 31
- On August 26, Bob passes away. Five days later, on August 31, Drew hosts a special primetime episode called "The Price Is Right: A Tribute to Bob Barker" (#83DT). The special is also rerun the following Monday, September* 4, in place of the daytime show.
- Circumstantial evidence seems to suggest that this show's production number exists in lieu of a theoretical #083SP, presumed to be intended for a Price Is Right at Night celebrating Bob's 100th birthday that was scrapped after his death. This number now appears to be the only non-daytime production code to be completely skipped.
- This episode has no audience and contains no gameplay; instead, Drew spends the hour giving an overview of Bob's life and career and presenting clips of his many years on the show, including his three appearances after his retirement. The special ends with the words, "In memory of Bob Barker. 1923-2023." Bob's name in this image is his own signature.
- As it was produced alongside Season 52, this episode marks the first on-air appearance of the show's new studio; however, as all of Drew's shots are either on the Turntable or in front of Door #2, nothing is seen that actually looks different from Studio 33 or reveals any new set pieces.
- With this episode, Drew returns to being clean-shaven.
- Beginning with this episode, the credits are slightly altered; their font is changed, the black borders and dropped shadows are removed from the orange bars, and the logo at the end slows down smoothly as it reaches the center of the screen instead of stopping abruptly.
- Likely as a result of it having largely been produced in advance, Mike Richards is credited as an executive producer on this episode.
